Born Nov. 2, 1921, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Mary Brown Foster Roney. She was the widow of Lloyd “Dude” Webb.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one niece, Norma Garland of Perryville; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wilder Funeral Home by Rev. Buddy Turpin. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Washington County.
Pallbearers will be Donald, Zack and Jeffery Garland, Derek Olson, Adam Farmer and Randy Hawkins.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday.
PATSY BAXTER
Patsy Joan Baxter, 66, of Perryville Road, Danville, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born September 17, 1939, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Lillian Grant Epperson Dismuke.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Collis D. "Tucker" Baxter; two daughters, Kimberly A. Grubbs, Garrard County, and Sherry L. Carter, Mercer County; two sons, Audie Baxter, Danville, and Clayton L. Baxter, Mercer County; one sister, Sara Warner, Danville; two brothers, Jerry Dismuke, Danville, and Charles Dismuke, Junction City, KS; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 14, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery by Rev. Dale Denton.
Pallbearers will be Dick Baxter, Garry, Jason, Darrell and Billy Sanford, Jerry Dismuke Jr., Brian Peyton and Carlos Caldwell. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Finley Hendrickson, Dr. Tariq Muhammad, Dr. Brian Ellis and staff of Charleston Health Care Center.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home, Danville.
ROSIE CALAHAN
Rosie Campbell Calahan, 92, Warbler Drive, Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, November 13, 2005 at Heritage Hall Care Center in Lawrenceburg.
Born August 12, 1913 in Clay County, she was daughter of the late James and Martha Bishop Campbell. She was the widow of Sam Calahan
She was a homemaker; and the oldest member of Grapevine Christian Church in Mercer County.
Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Jean (Glenn) Sanford, and Freda (Richard) Blanton, both of Louisville; one son, Stanley Calahan, Lawrenceburg; a sister-in-law, Oda Lunsford, London; and a special niece, Jean Sawyers, Manchester.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Richard Calahan, four sisters, and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at the Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, with Bro. Claude Waldridge officiating. Burial will be in Grapevine Cemetery in Mercer County.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
PAULA FISHER
Paula Rae Hood Fisher, 63, of El Cajon, CA, died Friday November 4, 2005 at her residence.
Born February, 1942, in New York, she was the daughter of the late Paul Parker Hood and Gertrude Livinia Sherman Hood.
She was an intake coordinator for Home Health Services in El Cajon, and was a graduate of South Dade High School in Miami, Fla.
Survivors include: one uncle, William A. Hood, Louisville; and six cousins.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday, November 13, at Springhill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, by Rev. Bill Wilham.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Research Fund.

ALICE GIBSON
Alice Jackson Gibson, 90, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1915 in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Dora Florence Lambdin Jones and the widow of James S. Gibson.
She was a retired James B. Haggin dietician and self-employed merchant. She was a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Survivors include: two sons; Kenneth Eugene (Lee Ora) Jackson of Harrodsburg and James Ralph “Rusty” (Mary) Jackson of Versailles; one daughter, Dora Lee (Michael) Higginbotham of Harrodsburg; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren and her special friend, Nellie Turner.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hobert Lee Jackson and one daughter Kathleen “Kitty” Guthrie.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Whitehouse and Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Kenny Jackson, Lonnie Barnett, Jimmy Jackson, Keith Todd Jackson, Kevin Lynn Jackson, Chris Higginbotham, and Kevin Higginbotham.

Patsy Jewell Gross Richardson Harris, 69, widow of Russell B. Harris, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at University of Kentucky Hospital.
Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Neville and Katie Gross.
She was a retired nurse at Shriners Hospital and co-owner of Blooming Miracle Florist. She was a 1953 graduate of Lafayette High School, 1972 graduate of Appalachian School of Nursing, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sons, Steve (Margaret) Richardson, Versailles, Tom and Joe Richardson, both of Lexington; a daughter, Tina (George) Ginter, Lexington; two stepsons, Guy (Priscilla) Harris, Harrodsburg, and Bradley (Gayle) Harris, Glendale, AZ; a stepdaughter, Tammy (Kendall) Wheeler, Lexington; 11 grandchildren; six step grandchildren, and a brother, Neville Gross Jr., Lexington.

Russell B. Harris, 72, widower of Shirley L. Harris, and his wife, Patsy G. Harris, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at University of Kentucky Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Lexington, he was a son of the late Beverly and Mary Harris.
He was the retired owner of R. B. Harris & Son Contractors and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Guy (Priscilla) Harris, Harrodsburg, and Bradley (Gayle) Harris, Glendale, AZ; a daughter, Tammy (Kendall) Wheeler, Lexington; three stepsons, Steve (Margaret) Richardson, Versailles, Tom Richardson and Joe Richardson, both of Lexington; a stepdaughter, Tina (George) Ginter, Lexington; six grandchildren, and 11 step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, November 11, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main Street. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.

Audrey C. Johnson, 77, Riverside Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at her residence after a long illness.
Born August 23, 1928 in Pike County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac William Caldwell and Octavia Dixie Damron Caldwell, and the wife of Harry T. “Chuck” Johnson.
She was a housewife and a member of the Danville Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son, Wayne “Kent” (Barbara) Johnson of Logan, WV; one daughter, Lisa Gaye (Ron) Kruchinski of Salvisa and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jean and Raymond Caldwell and one granddaughter, Amy Johnson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at the Danville Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Eric Christianson and Mike Whitaker officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Kruchinski, Andrew Johnson, Tom Bechtel, Randy Smith, Troy Cole and Mike Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Hall, Bill Adkinson, Charles McMurry and Ott Ratiliff.
GRANVILLE MOORE
Granville C. Moore, 75, of Mackville, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
A native of Washington County, he was born on Nov. 24, 1929 to the late Vermon and Lena Gabhart Moore, and he was the husband of Nellie Darland Moore.
He was a member and elder of the Mackville Church of Christ, a 1948 graduate of Mackville High School and a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture Division of Livestock Sanitation as an inspector and a farmer.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons, David (Beverly) Moore of Perryville and Mark (Ramona) Moore of Mackville; four daughters, Karen (Jim) Pearson, Mary Alice (Rodney) Thompson and Rachel (Monty) Short, all of Harrodsburg, and Regina Decker of Lawrenceburg; eleven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at the Mackville Church of Christ with Bro. Frank Preston officiating, assisted by Bro. Harry Coultas. Burial was in Battle Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Moore, David Moore, Anthony Moore, Aaron Moore, Justin Decker and Dale Shannon Sexton.
Honorary pallbearers were Richard Carey, Elvin Anderson, Kirby Blandford and Larry Carney.
MAE SMITH
Mae J. Smith, 89, 1070 Warwick Road, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born February 19, 1916 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James and Carie Lawson Hart.
She was a retired employee of Brown and Williams Tobacco Company and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ann (Hassel) Huffman and Bessie (Hurshel) Votaw both of Harrodsburg; one brother, James Hart of Richmond; 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Madge Ross, Eunice McCrystal and Pauline Messer.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Spring Hill Cemetery by Bro. Jim Owens.

THOMAS TAYLOR
Thomas Everett “Tommy” Taylor, 54, of Salvisa, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born, May 2, 1951 in Louisville, he was the son of the late Della Johnson Holt.
He was a truck driver, a member of the Tyrone Baptist Church, and he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
Survivors include: two sons; Tommy Taylor of Somerset and Brandon Taylor of Lawrenceburg; one daughter, Manda Coots of Big Laurel; a twin brother, John Taylor of Somerset, and one sister, Dora Mae Johnson of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Brewer. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lillie B. Catlett, 81, wife of J.C. Catlett, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

GRACE M. CHAMPION
Grace Margaret Champion, 94, of Salvisa, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born May 22, 1911 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Marion Frank and Stella Jane Currens James and the widow of James Bruce Champion.
She was a school teacher at Salvisa and Mercer County for 32 years and a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and 4-H leader for many years and a former member of the Mercer County Homemakers, Mercer Retired Teacher's Association and served as President of the Resident Council at Lexington County Place.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jeanette C. Cole of Lawrenceburg and Jane C. Norman of Louisville; one niece, Mary Elizabeth James; one nephew, Robert Franklin James; two sisters-in-law, Betty James and Edith James; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marion, Harold and Robert James and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jason Clark officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Elsie Jane Davis, 76, of 123 Dedman Street, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington.
Born June 27, 1929 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Zack and Roberta League Pulliam and was the wife of Harold William Davis.
She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son, William E. (Pat) Davis of Arbingdon, VA; one sister, Dora Elizabeth Estes of Burgin; two granddaughters, Melissa Dawn Davis and Debbie Hale, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Framton and Nancy Huffman and one brother, James Farris Pulliam.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Joe Tarry officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Randy Dale Jones, 45, of Henson Avenue, Danville, died Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Born December 1, 1959, he was the son of Mildred Jones and the late Cecil Jones.
He was a color-tech at RR Donnelley, and a volunteer for the Danville High School field crew.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Kay McClure Jones; two sons, Kenneth and Daniel Jones, both of Danville; three brothers, Danny Gadberry, and Cecil Jones, Jr., both of Danville, Jerry Jones, Junction City, and; two sisters, Edith Case, Burgin, and Judy Johnson, Lincoln County.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, at First Church of God in Danville. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday after 5 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home.

DOROTHY NOEL
Dorothy Mae Tatum Noel, 96, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 in Winter Park, FL.
Born May 2, 1909 in Mackville, she was the daughter of the late Ezra Tatum Sr. and Lillie Alice Click Tatum and the widow of Hubert Noel.
A Kentucky native, she graduated from Rose Hill High School and Nazareth College in Louisville. She was a teacher in Mercer County and in Louisville and was honored by Governor Paul E. Patton for her lifelong commitment to teaching. She was a member of the Beechmont Baptist Church in Louisville, the Beechmont Women's Club, Spalding University Alumni Association, Jefferson County Retired Teacher's Association and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ann Tatum Davis of Estero, FL and Gloria Hughes Franklin of Orlando, FL; three sisters, Lillie J. Camden of Lexington, Beatrice Russell of Bardstown and Jewell Best of Rose Hill; two brothers, Willie Tatum of Bowling Green and Ezra Tatum Jr. of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, and three nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2005 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Kierra Penix, one day old, of Louisville, died Friday Nov. 18, 2005 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville.
Born Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, she was the daughter of Joshua Keith Parker and Neokissha Penix of Louisville.
In addition to her parents, survivors include: maternal grandparents William and Patricia Penix of Harrodsburg; paternal grandfather Jim Parker of Louisville, two maternal great-grandmothers, Cleo Linton and Willia Penix, both of Lancaster; one uncle, William M. Penix of Harrodsburg, and one aunt, Nicole Parker of Harrodsburg.
Private graveside services were held on Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at Duncantown Cemetery in Lancaster with the Rev. David McPherson officiating.
