Billy Joe Cunningham, 74, Louisville Road, Salvisa, husband of Virginia Hall Cunningham, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at his residence.
Born Sept. 2, 1930 in Manchester, TN, he was the son of the late James Riley and Anna Vickers Cunningham.
He was a retired sheet metal worker for Homco Mechanical, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Assembly of God, and a member of the St. Johns Masonic Lodge 125 in Salvisa.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: three daughters, Carol (Roger) Gregory and Bobbi Jo Cunningham, both of Shelbyville, TN and Trenna Cunningham of Harrodsburg; two step-daughters, Debbie Gunnell of Frankfort and Tresa (Dr. Walter) Logan of Shelbyville; three stepsons, Terry (Barbie) Foley of Sadieville, Timmy (Wanda) Foley of Richmond, and Elmer Burchett Jr. of Salvisa; one sister, Geneva Seagraves of Winchester, TN; 15 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Rugle Cunningham; one sister, Inez Cannon, and one granddaughter, Shree Gregory.
The funeral was conducted Saturday, June 4 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Pete Toth officiating. Burial with Military Honors was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bruce Goodlett, Howard Fallis, James Bell, James Cherolis, Tony Bast and Franklin Cole.
Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Thompson, Bryan and Terrance Ruble, Eric and Trinity Foley and Tim Cunningham.
A Masonic Rites service was held Friday at the funeral home.
RICHARD DRURY
Richard Lurue Drury, 44, 520 Samuels Loop, Cox’s Creek, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 in Lafayette, IN.
Born Dec. 2, 1960 in Mercer County, he was the son of Richard D. Drury and the late Ellen Frances Moore Drury.
Survivors include: one sister, Becky J. (Danny) Jones of Frankfort; two brothers, Gary Lee (Sharon) Drury of Willisburg and Chris Drury of Harrodsburg; a fiancée, Jean Jackson of Bardstown.
The funeral was held Saturday, June 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Danny Jones, Gary and Chris Drury, Josh Jones, Lee Sayers, Terry and Allen Moore and Brian Jackson.
JERRY DRYE
Jerry Willis Drye, 88, of Currens Road, Salvisa, formerly of Danville, He died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born March 28, 1917, in Middleburg, he was the son of the late George Wetherford and Mary Belle Wesley Drye.
He was a member of Junction City United Methodist Church where he had taught Sunday school. He was an Army veteran of World War II and taught finance at Duke University while in the service. He was the widower of Kathleen Drye.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kathy White, Salvisa; one brother, George Drye, IL; one sister, Annie Merl Watson, Fairfield, OH; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Junction City United Methodist Church by Joe White. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville and from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Mullins, Marshall Qualls, David Logue, Mark Grigsby, P. D. Lanham and Jerry Watson. Honorary bearers will be the Fidelis Sunday School Class and Don Anderson, Eugene Horton and Ben Reynolds.

ADELINE GASH
Adeline Phillips Gash, 84, Lexington, widow of Donald M. Gash, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Harrodsburg, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Fannie Noel Phillips.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Owensboro.
Survivors include: two sons, Dr. Don Marshall (Sharon) Gash of Lexington and James L. (Debra) Gash of Owenton; four sisters, Frances Miller of Tucson, AZ, Christine Tyson of Waverly, KS and Virginia Graves and Betty Caswell, both of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Phillips Jr. and Andrew Phillips, and one sister, Helen Shank.
The funeral was held Monday, June 6 at the W.R. Milward Mortuary Southland, Lexington, with Rev. Gerald R. Johns Jr. officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Erin, Dylan, Clelland Robert, Don Marshall and James L. Gash and Sheryl McGill.

MARGIE PERRY
Margie Kathryn Camic Perry, 83, of Frankfort, widow of Raymond Eldred Perry, died Monday, June 6, 2005 at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville.
She was born January 26, 1922 in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Clay D. and Pearl Stratton Camic.
She was retired from Texas Instruments in Versailles after 15 years of service, a member of the Pigeon Fork Baptist Church and the Irma Franks Sunday School Class.
She is survived by: one daughter, Reda (Donald) Stucker, Frankfort; two sons, Carroll Ray Kay) Perry, Anderson County, and Gerald Douglas Perry, Waddy; one daughter in law, Peggy Perry, Waddy; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Susie Cox, Anderson County, and Ruby Robinson, Louisville; two brothers, Clifton (Ruby) Camic, Anderson County, J. C. Camic, Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Eugene Perry, three sisters, Mae Belle Hungate, Goldie Beasley, and Pauline Kirby; and one brother, Roy D. Camic.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, with Rev. Jesse Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the chapel.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
AGNES SIEBERT
Agnes Catherine Siebert, 83, 834 Berry Dr., died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 22, 1921 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Pearl Dick Bellebaum, and she was the widow of Walter Michael Siebert.
She was a retired civilian accountant at Ft. Knox and was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Siebert of Bloomington, IL; one brother, Edward C. Bellebaum of Summerville, SC, and one nephew.
The funeral was held Tuesday, June 7 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Muench officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Gribbons, Jason Brammer, Ben Bradley, Jerry Snow, Bryan Joyce and Travis McQuerry.

RUTH SMOCK
Ruth Geneva Hogue Smock, 77, Carrigan Dr., Danville, wife of O. E. “Red” Smock, died Friday, June 3, 2005 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 12, 1928 in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Mary Katherine Draudt Hogue.
She was retired from the loan department at Farmers National Bank where she had been a bookkeeper since 1946. She was a member of the First Church of God where she was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and the Women’s Mission Society, she was a 1946 graduate of Danville High School and was a Donovan Scholar at Eastern Kentucky University. She also was a member of the Wilderness Trace Art League.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Lynn S. Thomas and Terri S. Townsend, both of Boyle County; two sons, Kevin S. Smock of Harrodsburg and Kerry T. Smock of Boyle County; one sister, Louise H. Smock, also of Boyle Co.; two brothers, Lawrence E. Hogue of Danville and Robert T. Hogue of Ohio; seven grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Wednesday, June 8 at the First Church of God, Danville. Burial was in Bellevue Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Stith Funeral Home.

GLADYS BREWER
Gladys Brewer, 91, Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 8, 1914 in Freehold, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Lewis R. and Mary L. Polhemus Reid.
She was a clerk for the Salem County court.
Survivors include: two daughters, Beth Glaesser of Harrodsburg and Rachel Bolen of Wilmington, DE; three grandchildren, and three great -grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at the family cemetery in New Jersey at a later date.
JOHN CARR
John Thompson Carr, 89, 540 West Office St., died Thursday, June 9, 2005 at his residence.
Born Dec. 9, 1915 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late John Henry and Martha Black Carr.
He was a retired employee for the Federal Library of Congress as a police officer, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he attended West Side High School, and he was a member of the St. Peter AME Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Martha Loraine Carr, and one grandson, John Thompson Carr II, both of Harrodsburg.
There will be no local services or visitation. Burial will be held at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
Arrangement are being handled by the Parks Funeral Home.
ROSALIND FREEMAN
Rosalind Donovan Freeman, 80, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, June 12, 2005 at Jefferson Manor in Louisville, KY.
Born Sept. 14, 1924 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Mary Darland Donovan and was the widow of R. C. Freeman.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Marsha (Woodie) Leavell of Danville and Brenda (Jack) Kuhn of Louisville; one grandson, and one sister, Mildred Bailey of Harrodsburg.
The funeral was held Wednesday, June 15 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eric and Louis Yeast, Kirk and Whitney Bridgers, Milward Dedman and Bob Cairns.

Anna Marie Hasty, an infant, of Stephenson Avenue, Danville, died Friday, June 10, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Nathan Hasty and Erica Spurlock.
Survivors include: one sister, Hailey Spurlock, Danville; one brother, Jordan Spurlock, Danville; grandparents, Cheryl Spurlock, Harrodsburg, Keith Spurlock, Hamilton, OH, Lyda Hasty, Harrodsburg and Danny Hasty, Danville; and a great-grandmother, Marie Riggle, Danville.

MARY HESTER
Mary Hayden Hester, 78, 1401 Curry Pk., formerly of Maysville, widow of Rufus A. Hester, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care.
Born May 30, 1927 in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late John Wayne and Leatha Pearl Sneed Hayden.
She was a former co-owner and operator of the Green Valley Camp and Bait Shop, she was a former employee of Frisch¹s Restaurant, a member of the Dover Homemakers and Senior Friends and a member of the Lawrence Creek Christian Church.
Survivors include: two brothers, J. Raymond Hayden of Maysville and William Eugene Hayden of Dover, and one nephew, Terry Wallingford of Harrodsburg.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Will Hayden, Eugene Wayne Hayden and Jessie Roy Hayden.
The funeral was held Saturday, June 11 at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home in Maysville with Rev. David Cheek officiating. Burial was in the Charleston Bottom Cemetery.

IRENE HINES
Irene Hines, 73, Columbus, OH, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at the Ohio University Hospital East in Columbus.
Born Oct. 11, 1931 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lucien Dan Hines Sr. and Minnie Pearl Jordan.
Survivors include: five children; one brother; six grandchildren, and numerous cousins in Harrodsburg.
The funeral was conducted Monday, June 13 at the True Foundation Ministry in Columbus.

JONATHON HORN
Jonathon Clay Horn, 17, 125 Doe Run Ln., died Monday, June 13, 2005 at his residence.
Born Aug. 11, 1987 in Mercer County, he was a son of Timothy Wayne Horn and Pamela Jo Carrender.
He was a Mercer County High School student and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: two brothers, Mathew Wayne Horn and Andrew Lucas Horn, both of Harrodsburg; one half-brother, Roman Alexander Horn, also of Harrodsburg; maternal grandfather, Bill Carrender of Ohio; maternal grandmother, Mary Carrender of Mercer County; and paternal grandmother, Carolyn Horn of Harrodsburg.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, June 15 at the Southside Christian Church with Derek Baker and Brackie Willoughby officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers were Tim, Matt, Lucas, Randy and Eddie Horn and Jerry and Barry Carrender.

George E. “Boots” Kays, 82, 125 Garrard St., husband of Ruby Jaunita Wilham Kays, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at his residence.
Born Dec. 23, 1922 in Washington County, he was the son of the late G. F. and Elsie Mae Dennis Kays.
He was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ, and he was retired from the dairy industry, having worked for Armor Company, Cudahy of Harrodsburg and Dairymen, Inc..
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Jerry (Judy) Kays of Salvisa; one granddaughter, Amy Kays, one grandson, Jonathan Kays, both of Salvisa, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be today, Thursday, June 16 at 10 a.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Jason Clark and Larry Koch officiating. Burial will be in the Willisburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Kays, Jacob Abner, Gerald Lister, Donnie Tyler, Stan Richards and Ronnie Compton.

NORMA LANDERS McMURRY
Mrs. Norma McMurry, 68, wife of James E. McMurry, Jr., Salvisa, died Monday, may 30, 2005 at her residence.
Born June 26, 1936 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Viola Sharp Landers.
She was a homemaker and a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church. She enjoyed making baskets and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three daughters: Myra Morgan of Middleburg, Melony Hisle of Georgetown, and Cindy McMurry of Salvisa; one son, James Owen McMurry of Salvisa; three brothers: Charles T. Landers of Simpsonville, James Ray Landers of Lyndon and Lucian Landers o Harrodsburg; two sisters: Dixie Logue of Salvisa and Barbara Brown of Burgin; three grandchildren: Tasha Devine, Aaron Hisle and Ryan Hisle and her beloved pet: Casey.
She was preceded in death by one sister: Wanda Bugg.
The funeral was held Wednesday, June 1 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Preston and Rev. John Hockersmith officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.

DONALD NEAL
Donald L. "Donnie" Neal, 58, Princess Circle, Versailles, husband of Norma Barlow Neal, died Friday, June 10, 2005.
Born in Clark County, he was a son of James Edward and Mary Ellen Crawley Neal, of Harrodsburg.
He was retired from Osram Sylvania with 32 years of service.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by: one daughter, Donna Robinson, Versailles; two sons, Donald L. Neal Jr., Harrodsburg, Christopher, Neal, Versailles; four sisters, Joyce Bast, Salvisa, Patsy Scholtz, Danville, Sandra Terhune, McAfee, Janie Stratton, Lawrenceburg; one brother, Joe Neal, Salvisa, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Glen Neal and Luther "Dinky" Neal.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2005, at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in Versailles with pastor Donald Dennis officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Crest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Neal, Donna Robinson, Tony Bast, Buddy Terhune, Ben Stratton, Randy Scholtz, and Marvin Barlow.
Visitation will be from 2 - 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
