Ruth Cesa Williams, 63, of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006 at her home.
Born Nov. 19, 1942 in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late Robert William and Aileen Spurling Rawlings, and was the widow of Bill Williams.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed decorating and loved her two cats.
Survivors include: two sons, Allan Mattox of New Haven and Tony Cesa of Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Rosemary Leal of Indianapolis, IN, and Shiron Hopper of Lebanon; three brothers, Rodney Rawlings of Harrodsburg, Thomas Rawlings of Indiana and the Rev. Robert D. Rawlings of Nicholasville; seven sisters, Edith Husenburger of Bardstown, Shirley Preston of Harrodsburg, Bonnie Mee Campbell, Marie Mattingly and Nelia Mattingly, all of Marion County, Martha Shook of Colorado and Linda Sue Rogers of Parksville; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Joshua Abrams and Michael Mattox, and one granddaughter, Sarah Abrams.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Aug. 20 at God's Landmark Community Christian Church with the Rev. Robert D. Rawlings officiating.
Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
REBECCA ADAMS
Rebecca Adams, 47, of Herrington Lake, Mercer County, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 in Lexington.
She was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and was employed by Intergraph Corportation as a senior project manager.
Services will be held at St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church, 1891 Parker’s Mill Road, Lexington. Arrangements are incomplete.
WILLIE BOSWELL
Willie D. Boswell, 44, of Washington County, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born April 26, 1962 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary Margaret Sherrow Boswell.
He was a member of Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church, a farmer, and he loved to fish, hunt and be with friends.
Survivors include: two brothers, Johnny Boswell of Mackville and Noble (Brenda) Boswell of Salvisa; five sisters, Marie (Mike) Reynolds, Carolyn (Eddie) Buck and Mary Lou (Albert) Henry, all of Harrodsburg, Susie (Walter) Shearer of Mackville and Cleta Boswell of Bardsville, OK, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood and Tommy Boswell.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 30 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Williams officiating. Burial was in Battle Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Henry, Stacey Reynolds, Jimmy Buck, Alvin Buck, Scottie Boswell and Billy Boswell.
Honorary pallbearers were Caleb Collins, Daryl Graham, Terry Yates, David Mayes, Gaylen Baker and David Moore.
ROBERT BOTTOMLEY
Robert William Bottomley, 93, 740 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Harrodsburg, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg.
Born August 21, 1913 in Winnebago, MN, he was the son of the late Walter and Anna Bottomley and the widower of Gertrude Wright Bottomley.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville, AR and a retired manager of an Iowa Ice Cream Plant.
Survivors include: two sons, James Alan (Cindy) Bottomley, Harrodsburg, Thomas Craig (Kay) Bottomley, Sunbury, OH; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held later in Bentonville, AR. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery, Bentonville, AR.

TIFFANY CHEEK
Tiffany Michelle Cheek, 5, of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at the Kentucky Children's Hospital in Lexington.
Born May 30, 2001 in Fort Knox, she was the daughter of Douglas J. and Wanda Sue Goins Cheek of Harrodsburg.
In addition to her parents, survivors include: two brothers, Stephen J. and Phillip Douglas Cheek, both of Harrodsburg; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Ruby Goins of Nicholasville; aunts and uncles, Stephen and Jane Goins of Frankfort, Margaret and Gordon Conrad of Nicholasville, Vince Goins of Lawrenceburg, Joyce and Ivan Fallen, Judy and Tim Kaley, and Betty Cheek, all of Nicholasville, and Donna and Scott Burton of Mississippi, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Vanessa and Stanley Cheek.
Services will be held Friday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. at the East Hickman Baptist Church with Bro. Robbie Stollger officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Adams, Matthew Cheek, Sam Gordon and Kevin Bellew.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen and Phillip Cheek.
Visitation at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 5-8 p.m., and at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

SAMUEL HARLOW
Samuel Harlow, 88, of Calvary Lane, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 22, 1917 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Elmer and Hattie Watts Harlow, and was the husband of Stella Mae (Simpson) Harlow.
He was a former employee of Corning Glass where he served as union stewart for United Glass Workers. He also was a mechanic and worked at the Kentucky State Hospital for several years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters, Margaret Joyce Thompson of Harrodsburg and Barbara Ann (James) Hammond of Lawrenceburg; one son, Kenneth (Bernadette) Harlow of Danville; one brother, James Elmer Harlow of Soddy Daisy, TN; one step-son, Jack E. Benge, and one step-daughter, Brenda Jo (George) Bruner, both of Spartanburg, SC; 11 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 32 great-grandchidren, four step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 30 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Paul Readnour and Danny Broce officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Thompson, Bill Thompson, Adam Thompson, Spencer Gray, Stephen Bruner and Roy Lee Cox.
Honorary pallbearers were Miller Horn, Don Horn, Willie B. Horn, Nelson Cline, Bobby Richmond, Troy Frances, Jeff Rogers and Donald Ray Baker.

JAMES KABLER
James Russell Kabler, 90, of Munfordville, died Monday, Aug. 21, at the Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave.
He was born in Cinncinati, OH, and grew up in Harrodsburg. He was the widower of Mary Buford Ross Kabler.
He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture in 1938. He served in the U.S. Army in Iran and Iraq in 1942. He was employed as a district supervisor for Farmers Home Administration USDA for 37 years. Following retirement, he worked for Horse Cave State Bank as a loan appraiser and public relations officer.
He was a member of the Munfordville First United Methodist Church. He organized Methodist Men in 1950 and was president for five years. Other memberships included the North Central Kentucky Education Foundation, the Bluegrass Chapter of Farm Manager and Rural Appraisers Society of America, the American Legion, Green River Masonic Lodge #88, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #322 and the Hart County Chamber of Commerce.
He was inducted into the Agriculture Hall of Fame for Animal Science at UK and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include: one daughter, Eleanor Jean Kabler (Doug) Custer of Munfordville; one sister, Betty Jane Kabler Ross of Munfordville; two granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 23 at the Munfordville United Methodist Church with Bros. Wallace Thomas and Shane Browning officiating. Burial with military rites was in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the James R. Kabler Rotary Scholarship, or to the Munfordville First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
JAMIE KIDWELL
Jamie Lynn Kidwell, 33, of Danville, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006 in Danville.
Born Nov. 29, 1972 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of Donnie and Linda Vinyard Himes of Danville, and was the wife of Gerald "Jerry" Kidwell.
She had worked as a waitress and clerk.
In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include: one son, Joshua Sargent of Mitchellsburg; one sister, Vanessa Green of Harrodsburg, and one brother, Donnie Himes Jr. of Danville.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 29 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Burgin Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Steve Houston, David Vinyard, Tim Vinyard, Harold Vinyard, Jeff Vinyard and Ira Kidwell.
VIRGINIA LAY
Virginia R. Lay, 71, of Robards Court, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Aug. 26, 1935 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James Fred and Bonnie Gertrude Williams Divine, and was the widow of Ruel Lay.
She was a retired bus driver for Mercer County School System, and was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Janice (Tommy) Vaught; four step-children, Janice Yates, Sherri Lay, Brenda Bradford and Gary Lay, all of Harrodsburg; one sister, Viola Sims; one grandson, seven step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Angelia Denise Royalty, and two brothers, Harold and Henry Bailey.
Services will be held Friday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Brandon Carrier and John David Lane officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Bailey, Kyle Bailey, Johnny Bailey, Marshal Sims Jr., J. L. Devine and Tommy Hayden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Lay, Chris Lay, Jeff Noel, Dale Yates, Justin Lay, Don Yates and Glenn Logue.
Visitation will be at the funeral chapel Thursday, Aug. 31 from 5-9 p.m.

EARL MAJESKE
Earl C. Majeske, 84, of Harrodsburg, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Nov. 9, 1921 in Bay City, MI, he was the son of the late Fredrick Owen and Harriett Witzke Majeske, and was the husband of Susie Majeske.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1956. He was a geologist and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: four daughters, Suzanne Majeske (Dennis) Reinbold of Lowell, MI, Barbara Jo (Daniel) McGuire of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Patricia (Paul Mark) Burberry of Harrodsburg and Elizabeth Ellen (Russell) Fimbinger of Marion, MI; two sisters, Gerry Ballor of Bay City, MI, and Pearl Sherman of Westbranch, MI; one brother, Don Majeske of Ann Arbor, MI; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 31 at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church with Derek Baker and Pat McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral chapel Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday until 11 a.m., and at the church Thursday from noon until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
BOBBY MEAUX
Bobby Meaux, 31, of Lexington, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 in Lexington.
He was the son of Barbara Jean Browning Meaux of Harrodsburg and the late Bobby Meaux Sr.
He was a 1993 graduate of Harrodsburg High School where he played football and basketball. He was employed by Galls in Lexington.
Additional survivors include: one daughter, Danielle Meaux of Louisville; one brother, D. K. Meaux of Lexington, and maternal grandmother, Barbara Browning of Harrodsburg.
Arrangements are incomplete at the Parks Funeral Home.
AMA ROBINSON
Ama Satterly Robinson, 85, of Frankfort, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at the Bradford Square Nursing Center in Frankfort.
Born Sept. 27, 1920 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late James and Martha Darnell Satterly, and was the widow of Ones Robinson.
She was a retired employee with Dean and Sherk Thread Factory, and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Patsy Chadwell of Frankfort; two sisters, Rama Sutherland of Anderson County and Jean (J. R.) Robinson of Washington County; one grandson, William Allen Chadwell of Frankfort, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, J.L. Satterly.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 29 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg with the Rev. Tony Clark and David Sutherland officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
DANIEL WASHBURN
Daniel James Washburn, 46, Beechwood Drive, Lebanon, died at 6:11 p.m. Aug. 23, 2006, at the Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.
Washburn was born Oct. 23, 1959, in Nelson County.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Leslie Leon and Gertie Mae Bunch Washburn; two sisters, Wanda Jean Washburn and Margaret H. Jones; and three brothers, Sherrill, Bill and Ray Washburn.
Survivors include: two brothers, Bo Washburn of Lebanon and Dave Washburn of Springfield; four sisters, Mary Ann Moore of Finley, Betty Vineyard of Harrodsburg, Sue Brummett of Lebanon and Judy Parker of Indianapolis, Ind.
Funeral services were held Aug. 26 at New Hope Baptist Church, Washington County, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. David Kizziah officiated.
Pallbearers were Ray Vineyard, David, Pat, James, Charles Wayne, Billy and Milton Washburn, Ricky and Tommy Moore, Lonnie Malone, Danny Klass and Chris Stratton.
Carey and Son Funeral Home, Springfield, was in charge of the arrangements.

Rebecca L. Adams, 47, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, August 27, 2006.
Born in Terre Haute, IN, she was the daughter of Leo Bulson and Jessie Bulson.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by: one daughter, Lauren Marie Adams, Lexington; two sons, Joshua Isaac Adams and Christopher Michael Adams, both of Lexington; one brother, Bill Bulson (Kathy Lewis), Minneapolis, MN; a niece, Eva Bulson-Lewis and a nephew, Jesse Bulson-Lewis.
She was a senior project manager for Intergraph, Inc., was attending Midway College, and a member of St. Phillip's Episcopal Church in Harrodsburg.
She loved life on her farm, surrounded by her horses, dogs and cats and working on her vegetable garden.
Funeral services will be held at St. Raphael's Episcopal Church in Lexington 1 p.m., Mon, Sept. 4. Reception will follow.
