Makaylie Ashton Sapp, 5 months, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born April 26, 2006 in Lexington, she was the daughter of Bradley Allen and Ashley Shannon Sapp of Danville.
In addition to her parents, survivors include: one brother, Colin Blake Johnson of Danville; maternal grandmother, Cindy Coffman of Harrodsburg; paternal grandparents, Junior and Joan Sapp of Leitchfield; maternal great-grandparents, Earl and Barbara Pinkston of Danville; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Burnett of Leitchfield, and maternal great-great-grandparents, Kenneth and Betty Crouch of Danville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, Bob Burnett, and paternal great-grandparents Denny and Elva Woosley.
Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Danville with Bro. Steve James and Kevin Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Danville.
Visitation at the church Thursday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

ALICE SMITH
Alice Mae Robinson McQuerry Smith, 70, of Oak Street, Nicholasville, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospice Care after a long illness.
A native of Shakertown, Mercer County, she was born Dec. 28, 1935, to the late Floyd and Ruby Robinson. Her foster mother was the late Willa Dee Roberts. She was the widower of Ronald McQuerry, who died in 1960, and Clarence "Smitty" Smith, who died in 2005.
She was an Avon Representative, enjoyed traveling, and was a member of Roberts Chapel.
She is survived by: two daughters, Sherry Gardner and Donna Luke; two sons, Ronald D. McQuerry, and Stephan D. (Rosemary) McQuerry; five step children and their families; one sister, Roberta Clapitt; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick McQuerry, two half brothers, Bobby Ray Robinson, Dickie Robinson, and one half sister, Patty Robinson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 29, at the Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, W. Oak St., with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday.
FLORA TOLLEY
Flora Tolley, 89, of Waynesburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006 at her home.
Born Dec. 18, 1916 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Henderson and Ophelia Dick Hines, and was the widow of Carl Tolley.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Waynesburg.
Survivors include: two sons, Clayton (Doreen) Tolley of Science Hill and Michael (Brenda) Tolley of Hamilton, OH; six daughters, Jean (Earl) Eldridge of Taylorsville, Georgeina (Donald) Davis of Harrodsburg, Sharon (Larry) Gillis of Brunswick, TN, Gail (Glyn) Sparkman of Cincinnait, OH, and Anita (Carmon) Richardson and Irene (Larry) Childers, both of Waynesburg; 30 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold and James Tolly, and one brother, Ivan Hines.
Services were held Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Bros. Vola Brown and Wendell Butte officiating. Burial was in Parlor Grove Cemetery in Waynesburg.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

CHARLES BUTCHER
Charles Dale Butcher, 23, of Stanford, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006 in Stanford.
Born Jan. 28, 1983 in Lexington, he was the son of Dale Butcher of Harrodsburg and Mary Ransdell Michael Culligan of Harrodsburg, and was the husband of L’Acee Marie Shelton Butcher.
He was a guest services representative with Hampton Inn in Danville and was a United Way volunteer. He was a tender-hearted man who enjoyed computers, music and making others happy.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include: one unborn son, Skylar Lei Butcher; two sisters, April Yvonne (Wendell Hill) Butcher of Danville and Patricia Butcher of Grant County; one step-sister, Sheena Bridgeman of Bassalt, CO; maternal grandmother, Gayle Salyers of Mercer County; paternal grandfather Dave Butcher of Lexington, and several nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Lincoln County.

RONALD CASEY
Ronald Eugene Casey, 68, of Lawrenceburg, died October 4, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born June 27, 1938 in Anderson County, he was the son of Leona Catherine Proctor Casey and the late Ronald Casey.
He was a retired IBM management employee and a driver with Central Kentucky Funeral Limousine Association. He was 1956 Western Kentucky High School graduate, an Army Reservist, a member of Friendship Baptist Church and attended Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge #160, the Lexington Oleika Shriners and the IBM Quarter Century Club.
Additional survivors include: two sisters, Drucilla (Bud) Gritton, Lawrenceburg, and Debbie Casey Byrd, Atlanta, GA; one brother, Leroy (Linda) Casey, Longmont, CO; one sister-in-law, Loretta Casey, Harrodsburg; several nieces, nephews and special friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Wayne Casey, and a brother-in-law, Steven Byrd.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 7, at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Ehr officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Visitationm will be from 4 – 8 pm, Friday.

LARRY GRAY-KYLE
Larry Ray Gray-Kyle, 27, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born Aug. 20, 1979 in Lexington, he was the son of Larry and Betty Kyle of Lawrenceburg, and was the husband of Jessica Lynn Marksbury Gray.
He was a concrete worker with the Tom Ritchie Construction Company, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Community Church. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved Ford Mustangs.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include: one son, Brian Kyle Gray of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Beverly (Curtis) Clay of Glasgow and Ella Short of Frankfort; one brother, Jason Kyle of Frankfort; several nieces and nephews, and special friends Chad and Barbara Steele and Tom Ritchie.
Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Morrison officiating. Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
ART HONICAN
Arthur David “Art” Honican Sr., 68, of Versailles, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 at his home.
Born in Jessamine County, he was the son of the late Reniker Scott and Minnie Stewart Florian Honican, and was the husband of Judith Ann Maybrier Honican.
He was a retired Osram Sylvania employee, and was a member of the Versailles United Methodist Church where he was active in the Methodist Men’s group.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters, Cindy (Rick) Reed and Susie (Jeff) Brothers, both of Versailles; one son, the Rev. Arthur David (Tina) Honican Jr. of Louisa; one brother, Richard B. Honican of Perryville; two granddaughters, and one greatgrandson.
He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Scott Honican; two daughters, Melissa Ann Honican and Michelle L. Woods; four brothers, Ray, William, Robert and Fred Honican; two sisters, Lucille Anderson and Bernice Lilly, and one grandson, Marshall Wayne Shelton.
Services were held Monday, Oct. 9 at the Versailles United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Coy officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Lexington.
Pallbearers were Dan Jackson, Larry Moreland, J. Henry Duncan, Brian Davis, Ted Gyorffy and Larry Mantle.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Dale Eckert, Dr. William Foley, the Rev. Ben Hahn and members of the Versailles United Methodist Men.

HOLLIS PERRY
Hollis R. Perry, 81, of Danville, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 10, 1925, in Lawrenceburg, he was the son of the late Walter and Gertrude Briscoe Perry.
A graduate of Kavanaugh High School and Eastern Kentucky University, he was employed by the Internal Revenue Service, Perry Tax Service and Critchfield & Critchfield CPAs. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3634, American Legion Boyle Post 46, a charter member of Indian Hills Christian Church and a 40-year member of Men for Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Anderson Perry; a son, David Perry of Burgin; three brothers, Stewart Perry and Curtis Perry, both of Lawrenceburg, and Ralph Perry of McCormick, S.C.; and a sister, Mary Ellen Graves of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Burton Perry.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 9, at the Indian Hills Christian Church by Rev. Otis Clark. Burial will be in Camp Nelson Cemetery with military rites by the Navy and American Legion Boyle Post 46.
Pallbearers will be Tom Berggren, Tim Dexter, Tim Sharp, Doug Stearman, Jody Vest and Don Warren.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Indian Hills Christian Church.

DANIEL RYAN
Daniel Lyle Ryan, 19, of Stanford, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Aug. 31, 1987 in Danville, he was the son of Helen Cornett Ryan and the late David Lyle Ryan Sr.
He was a 2004 graduate of Lincoln County High School and was employed at Wausau Paper. He attended the Danville Church of God.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: two brothers, David Lyle (Melissa Dawn) Ryan Jr. of Danville and Alex Nathaniel Ryan of Stanford, and one sister, Shelby Jean (William Henry) Corey of Gravel Switch.
Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 11 at the Danville Church of God with Nathan Todd officiating. Burial was in Double Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Glenwood Cornett, Jerry Cornett, Eric Dean Cornett, John Ryan, Ricky Dale Ryan and Gary Ryan Jr.

JOSHUA SHIPMAN
Joshua Lee Shipman, 15, son of Matthew Steven Shipman, Lexington and Coretta Helton Lyons, Harrodsburg, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 in Lexington.
He was a sophomore at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School, born in Lexington, and was a Wiccan.
Additional survivors include: two sisters, Lyndsey Cheuvront and Lauren Quigley; three brothers, Clayton and Thomas Moore, and Tyler Quigley; and one step-brother, Cedric Lyons; one niece, Kennedy Cheuvront Smith; paternal grandparents, Nina and Steve Shipman; maternal grandmother; Gail Haggard, and his step-grandfather, Charles Haggard, Corbin: one aunt, Nancy Bader, Lexington;.
He was preceded in death by a special aunt, Coiann Robinson, step-sister, Jennifer Caudill and his grandfather, Coy Helton.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, at the W. R. Milward Mortuary-Southland with burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County.

O. E. SMOCK
O. E. "Red" Smock, 79, of Danville, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 18, 1927, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Edgar C. and Mary Mullinex Smock. He was the widower of Ruth Smock.
He was a truck driver for McDuffee Motor Freight, a farmer and worked for Danville Construction Company.
Survivors include: two sons, Kevin S. Smock, Harrodsburg, and Kerry T. Smock, Danville; two daughters, Lynn S. Thomas and Terri S. Townsend, both of Danville; two brothers, James Smock, Orlando, FL, and Lowell T. Smock, Danville; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 6, at the First Church of God.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of God building fund or Pinecrest-Beattyville Children's Home.
LAWRENCE ADER
Lawrence Lee Ader, 65, of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at the Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born June 13, 1941 in Louisville, he was the son of Louis Monroe and Betty McKercher Ader Jr.
He was a retired manager with South Central Bell and a 1959 graduate of Olive Hill High School. He was a graduate of Georgetown College, where he played football and basketball, and was awarded the S.E. Cranfell Business Award and the D.A.R. History Award. He was a past member of the Rotary clubs of Fulton and Middlesboro, a past member of the Jaycees in Fulton, and was a former Boy Scout leader in Middlesboro. He was a Kentucky Colonel and had played semi-professional basketball for the Birmingham Stars.
Survivors include: one son, Steven Eric Ader of Crestwood; three daughters, Kimberly Ader and Erica Gyori, both of Harrodsburg, and Karen Mason of Montgomery, AL; one brother, James Ader of Berkley, CA; two sisters, Brenda Agee of Crossville, TN, and Peggy Wagner of Russell; eight grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Terry Morrison and Bobby Logue officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Will Gernert, Jennifer Coslow, Benjamin Ader, Zachery Gyori, Virginia Ader, Kate Mason and Michael Mason.

FRANCES ALSEPT
Frances Louise Alsept, 53, of Central Pike, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 at her home.
Born Feb. 7, 1953 in Clark County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Genevia Pennington Brown, and was the wife of Jack Alsept.
She served as secretary at East Side Auto Sales in Lexington, and she enjoyed camping, fishing, working with crafts, and animals.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter, Kimberly Alsept of Sarasota, FL; one son, Chad Eric Alsept of Mercer County, and one grandson, Travis Peavler of Burgin.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Darold Bixon Coffman, 74, of Danville, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at his home.
Born May 22, 1932 in Casey County, he was the son of the late Roy and Edith Peyton Coffman, and was the husband of Juanita Matherly Coffman.
He was a farmer and a member of the Salt River Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Darold Lee (Melissa) Coffman of Harrodsburg; one brother, Harold Coffman of Brodhead; one grandson, Michael Scott Coffman, two nephews and one niece.
Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville with Bro. Paul Readnour officiating. Burial was in Hustonville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Glenn Coffman, Logan Caldwell, Johnny Brim, Ronnie Stamps, Rudolph Mullins and Willie Sherwood.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Coontz, Charlie Clarkson, Craig Peavler, Bobby Carrico and David Coffman.
