Mollie Richter, 74, of 649 Valley Drive, died Thursday, January 4, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care.
Born January 30, 1926 in Halls Gap, she was the daughter of the late Pless and Florence Adams Holloway. She was the widow of Raymond Richter.
She was the former co-owner of Ray's Greenhouse in Harrodsburg and had worked at the Dollar Store. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her daughter, Shirley Sampson, Harrodsburg; a sister-in-law, Pauline Holloway, South Lebanon, OH; one grandson, Jerry Sampson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie Holloway and Norman Holloway.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 7, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. David Hartman officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

W. H. RANSDELL
W. H. "Willie" Ransdell, 89, of 832 Kirkwood Road, Salvisa, died Saturday, January 6, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born February 10, 1911 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Claude E. and Mattie Patterson Ransdell. He was the widower of Florence G. Ransdell.
He was a retired farmer and member and deacon of the Kirkwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son, Franklin Ransdell, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Barbara Royalty, Lexington; two brothers, Garnett Ransdell, Harrodsburg, and Claude Ransdell, Louisville; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Ransdell.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 8, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Coats and Rev. Larry Redding officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Sexton, Bruce Goodlett, Robert Prather, William Gash, Dale Daland and Carl Hazelwood. Honorary bearers were Clinton Robinson, Bob Christiansen, Roger Dotson, Marvin Smith and Gilbert Horton.
Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice.

ELIZABETH GABHART
Elizabeth Jouett Allin Gabhart, 97, of "Clay Hill, " 433 Beaumont Avenue, died Friday, January 5, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg.
Born January 15, 1903 in Harrodsburg, she was a daughter of the late Ben Casey and Ora Ella Van-Arsdale Allin. She was the widow of Willard Gabhart.
She and her late husband restored and maintained Clay Hill, the home of Kentucky's Civil War governor, Beriah Magoffin and had a life-long concern for the preservation of Kentucky's historic sites. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Harrodsburg Historical Society for many years.
She descended from Harrodsburg's first County Clerk, Thomas Allin, and the VanArsdales, some of the founders of the Dutch Reformed Church in America (Old Mud Meeting House).
She attended Mrs. Anderson’s school and was a graduate of Miami College for Women in Ohio. She also taught school in Kentucky and Florida.
She was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include: a daughter, Ann Raymond Gabhart, Boston, MA; a son-in-law, David Friedman, Boston, MA; one sister, Mary Neal Terhune, Clewiston, FL; two nieces, Betty Wells and Bobbi Rensel; one nephew Curtis Allin.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 8, at the Harrodsburg Christian Church with Dr. David Hartman officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Wells, Michael Wells, Jason Wells, Curtis Allin, Jr., Curtis Allin III and David Quinn.
Memorials are suggested to The Ragged Edge Community Theater, Harrodsburg Christian Church or Harrodstowne Chorus.
Ransdell Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

JULIA ENDERLE
Julia Enderle, 77, of 398 Runyon Road, died Friday, January 5, 2001 at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born May 18, 1923 in Rockcastle, NY, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bohoy.
She was a housewife, homemaker and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Paul H. Enderle, Harrodsburg; one son, Michael Enderle, Lexington; one daughter, Karen (Wayne) Enderle VanSickle, Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Ann Snearly, Albany, NY, and Helen Serdula, Corning, NY; one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 9, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church with Father Joseph Meunch officiating. Burial was in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Schuster, Doc McKinney, Bronson Yeast, Joseph Tonna, Mark Schuster, Greg Schuster and Chuck Durham. Honorary Bearers were Jim Huff, George Rogers and Wade Hemphill.
Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew Catholic Church Building Fund.

ZARA DURR
Zara Vivian Durr, 81, of Harrodsburg Health Care Center, died Saturday, January 6, 2001 at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born October 3, 1919 in Murray, she was the daughter of the late James Walsh and Flossie Lee Douglas Jones. She was the widow of Roy Durr, Jr.
She was a former homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: three sons, Gary and Terry Durr, both of Harrodsburg, John Durr, Nicholasville; one daughter, Valerie Durr, Bluegrass Station; one brother, T. R. Jones, Mentone, IN; two sisters, Mary Anderson, Lavonia, MI and Chettie Winter, Yellow Springs, OH; four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 9, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Kenneth Preston officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Philip Durr, Hunter Durr, Frank Preston, James Winter, Bob Driggers and Steve Taylor.

LUCAROL LEHMAN
LuCarol Shewmaker Lehman, 55, of Waleska, GA, formerly of Mackville, died Monday, January 1, 2001 at the North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA.
Born in Lebanon, April 23, 1945, she was a daughter of Orene Shewmaker of Lexington and the late Barnett Shewmaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton, GA, a homemaker and a 1963 graduate of Mackville High School.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include; her husband, Earl Lehman, Waleska, GA; one daughter, Lisa Delger, Rock Hill, SC; one step daughter, Laurie Steele, Kennesaw, GA; two step sons, Steve Lehman, Acworth, GA and Dennis Lehman, Marietta, GA; one sister, Debra McCahren, Paris; one brother, Darryl Shewmaker, San Antonio, TX; four step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Todd Caldwell.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 5, at the Carey and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Lay officiating. Burial was in the Peter cemetery in Mackville.

KENNETH COCHRAN
Kenneth Duward Cochran, 73, of Isham Lane, Mackville, died Monday, January 1, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
A native of Casey County, he was born January 30, 1927, son of the late Omer Floyd and Sallie Mahala Atwood Cochran.
He was a member of the Mackville church of Christ, an army veteran of World War II, a retired farmer and had served several years on the Washington County Board of Education.
Survivors include: his wife, Liberty Darland Cochran, Mackville; one son, Alex Parnell Cochran, Mackville; two daughters, Mrs. James D. (Jenny) Hawthorne, Mrs. Kirtley (Lisa) Barnett, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Paul Cochran, Louisville; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 4, at the Carey and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Murphy and Bro. Frank Preston officiating. Burial was in the Battle Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve Settles, Joe Settles, Sandy Carey, Mark Moore, Jeffrey Isham and Darrel Baker. Honorary bearers were Granville Moore, Richard Carey, Jim Powell and Pete Carey.

PAM DERESA WILCHER
Pam Deresa Wilcher, 40, of 610 Hughley Lane died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2000 from smoke inhalation in a fire at her residence.
Born Dec. 9, 1960 in Danville, she was the daughter of Anna Lou Taylor Wilcher of Danville and the late William Earl Wilcher.
She was an employee of Bay West Paper Company and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Danville.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Josh Wilcher of Mercer County; two sisters, her twin, Jo Teresa Doss of Lawrenceburg, and Connie Max-field of Danville, and three brothers, James Wilcher of Danville, Linnie Wilcher of Cocoa, FL, and Allen Wilcher of Miami, FL.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Granvell Morrow officiating. Burial was in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were William Peyton, Danny Bugg, Jimmy Claunch, Connie Maxfield, Jo Teresa Doss, James Wilcher, Kane Frey and George Hellerd.
Employees of Bay West Paper Company were honorary pallbearers.
