Gladys Peach, 81, of 1131 Baxter Ridge Road, Lawrenceburg, died Monday, May 7, 2001 at her residence.
Born December 30, 1919 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Mary Cole Milburn.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son, George Melvin Peach, Lawrenceburg; four daughters, Betty Young, Bessie Taylor and Mary Aileen Russell, all of Mercer County, Neoma Powell, Lexington; three sisters, Mable Baine, Bardstown, Pauleen Humes, Nelson County, Mary Lee Coulter, Anderson County; 15 grandchildren and 14 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Milburn, two sisters, Marthaleen Milburn and Katherin Tingle, and one son, James Peach.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Dedman and Rev. John McDaniels officiating. Burial will be in the Willisburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Peach, Michael Peach, Lawrence Ray Peach, Troy Young, Casey Lawson and Auston Norton.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, Gideons Memorial Bible Fund or the Parkinson's Foundation.
Visitation will be at the chapel from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

ADA THOMPSON
Ada Mae Merryman Thompson, 77, of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
A native of Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Birdie Lee and Effie Mae Nichols Merryman. She was the widow of Norman Edward Thompson.
She was a retired employee of Cricketeer Manufacturing Company and a member of the Claylick United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Lillian Gertrude (Donald) Riley and Joyce Cloyd, both of Harrodsburg; one son, William Edward (Sherry) Thompson, Burgin; one sister, Virginia Cox, Lawrenceburg; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Louise Robinson and Dorothy Agnes Hall.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 11, at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with Bro. Joe Smith and Bro. Joe White officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Norman Lynn Hall, Mike Thompson, Jeffrey Cloyd, Shawn Davis, Ronnie Davis, Ray White, Joe White, and Shane Cocanougher. Honorary bearers were Debbie Jackson, Rhonda Hall, Darlene Riley, Amanda Cocanougher, Missy Yeast, Crystal White and Lori Hawkins.

ERIC UNDERWOOD
Eric Lee Underwood, 28, of Sunrise Shores, Harrodsburg, formerly of Danville, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born May 19, 1972 in Danville, he was a son of Jim and Wilma Wayne Underwood of Danville.
He was a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railway in Louisville, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include: his wife, Michele Ford Underwood, Harrodsburg; one daughter, McKenzie Lee Underwood, Harrodsburg; one brother, Tim Underwood, Parksville, and grandfather, Ralph Wayne of Wilmore.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 5, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Wesley, Rev. Odis Clark and Rev. Keith Willoughby. Burial was in Parksville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Sleet, Danny Norton, Phil Feistritzer, Kenny Ford, Greg Casey, Bryan Abbott and Tracy Edwards. Honorary bearers were McKenzie Underwood, Zachary Underwood and Benjamin Underwood.

ELDON WILLIAMS
Eldon Ray Williams, 87, of Ashley Camp Road, Burgin, died Friday, May 4, 2001 at his residence.
Born September 15, 1913 in Marshall County, he was the son of the late Finous Elroy and Rosie Ellen Williams.
He was a retired Leman and Meade Construction Company foreman and plant superintendent. He was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Angelline Nimmo Williams, Burgin; two sons, Robert "Bob" Ray (Jane) Williams, Burgin, and David E. (Judy) Williams, Cynthiana; three sisters, Eva Rivard, Eureka, FL; Euphema Dexter, McMannville, TN and Rosa Lee Kelso, Murray; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Williams, a son, Billy Kay Williams, one brother, Elvy Williams and two sisters, Ella Mae Whithead and Edith Downey.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Gisler officiating. Burial was in Burgin Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Steve, Rusty, DeWayne, and David Lee Williams and Cindy Williamson and Angela Rae Turner.

MARGARET ALEXANDER
Margaret Duncan "Peggy" Alexander, 83, of 429 Chestnut Street, died Thursday, May 10, 2001 at Haggin Hospital.
Born March 8, 1918 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late James Smith and Sarah Catherine Sampson Alexander.
She was a teller for Production Credit and Mercer County National Bank since the early 1950s.
She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she was the general secretary of the Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include: a sister-in-law, Gladys Davenport Alexander; three nephews, John Alexander, Lexington, Andrew Alexander, Harrodsburg, and Dr. James Alexander, Harrodsburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Menefee Alexander and a sister, Harriott Edgar Alexander.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert DeFoor and John Alexander officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chester Scott, Bill Randolph, Glen Demaree, Bill C. Durham, Bill Givins Durham, Stuart Alexander, Jr., Edwin Freeman, Thomas Towns, Joe Wilson and Richard Dart.

AUSTIN CLODFELDER
Austin Brian Clodfelder, 92, of 1616 Cedar Street, Lawrenceville, IL, died Monday, May 14, 2001 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, IL.
Born November 9, 1908 in Wheeler, IL, he was the son of the late Bert O. and Bertha Price Clodfelder.
He was a retired Methodist minister, having preached for 40 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville and a graduate of Asbury College.
Survivors include: one brother, Raymond Clodfelder, Grand Rapids, MI; one sister-in-law, Bertha Whitehouse, Harrodsburg.
Graveside services will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery, Friday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Owens officiating.
Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Village, Lawrenceville, IL.
Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

MYRTLE COKE
Myrtle Louise Coke, 83, of 2574 Bondville Road, Salvisa, died Monday, May 14, 2001 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington
A native of Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ada Thacker Coke.
She was a retired Head Matron at Stewart Home School in Frankfort, after 35 years, a member of the Goshen Baptist Church, a graduate of American High School in Chicago, IL and attended the University of Louisville.
Survivors include: a sister-in-law, Goldie Coke, Lawrenceburg; and a brother-in-law, James E. Phillips, Salvisa. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Phillips, Sarah Wilson, Ruth Willard, and Frances Brown; and two brothers, Charles Coke and Ralph Coke.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 16, at Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, with Bro. James Harley and Bro. Charles Chambers officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gerald Brown, Bob Brown, Wayne Phillips, Lou Colpitts, Chris Spivey, and Lonnie Wayne Johnson. Honorary bearers were Melvin Barrow, Lewis Stratton, Paul Young, Ambrose Stratton, Ricky Phillips, and Earl Riley Sr.

LUCILLE JENKINS
Lucille Jenkins, 75, of 740 Horse Ridge Road, Stanford, died Wednesday May 16, 2001 at 419 Carrigan Drive, Danville.
Born January 12, 1926 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie P. and Dovie Hardin Jenkins.
She had worked as a private caregiver and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sisters, Hattie Reed and Edith Nowlin, both of Danville, and Margaret Lester, Harrodsburg; four brothers, James E. Jenkins, Lexington, Buford and Elmer Jenkins, both of Stanford, and Earl Jenkins, Woodford County.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Burgin Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at the chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

AULDIN KIRBY
Auldin Kirby, 87, of Harrodsburg Health Care Center, died Monday, May 14, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born October 8, 1913 in Central City he was the son of the late Emil and Nora Russell Kirby.
He was a coal miner.
Survivors include: one brother, Emil Kirby, Jr., Louisville; two sisters, June and Mondal Kirby, both of Louisville.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Camp Nelson cemetery in Nicholasville with Bro. James Harley officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.
