Faye Evelyn Gregory Schiefelbein, 92, of Martinsville, IN died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at the Morgan Hospital and Medical Center in Martinsville.
Born October 18, 1908 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Davis B. and Gertrude Catherine Gabhart Hungate. She was the widow of Melvin E. “Buck” Gregory and Caleb F. Schiefelbein.
She was a homemaker and a member of Waverly Baptist Church.
She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter #465 in Beech Grove and a lifetime member of the Hungate Historical Society.
Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara A. Kolbe, Franklin, IN, Cathy I. Neal, Martinsville, IN; two step sons, James Gregory, Nashville, IN, William Schiefelbein, Martinsville, IN; one step daughter, Betty Lovdell, New Palestine, IN; one brother, Claude Hungate, Frankfort, one sister, Helen Leathers, Beech Grove, IN; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step daughter, Maxine Bryson and a brother, William Hungate.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, at Neal and Summers Mortuary, 110 East Poston Road, Martinsville, IN. Burial will be in Hilldale cemetery in Martinsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ken Mar Gift Fund, 210 W. Pike Street, Martinsville, IN 46151.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, and after Noon on Thursday.

LATTIE WILHAM
Lattie B. Murphy Wilham, 90, of Beaumont Avenue, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born November 6, 1910 in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Wright Murphy. She was the widow of Maurice Wilham.
She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Welcome Sunday School Class, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include: her daughter, Mrs. Eddie (Violet) Drury, Harrodsburg; one son, Bobby Wilham, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Sue Jackson and Pearl Meredith, both of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: one son, Earl Wilham; a stepson, Carlos Wilham, three brothers, George, Eugene and Robert Murphy; one sister, Mary Devine; and one grandson, Robert Dayle Wilham.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 1, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Robert DeFoor and Rev. Jim Owens officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brent Drury, Johnny Lee Meredith, Eason Butler, Donnie Jackson, Tommy Jackson, Tommy Ashford, Robert Phillips and Justin Wilham.

SARAH CATLETT
Sarah Kathryn Nichols Catlett, 73, of 141 Hycliff, died Thursday, June 7, 2001 at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center in Lexington.
Born July 13, 1927 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Blanche Prather Nichols.
She worked as a community developer for Bluegrass Community Action Agency. She was a graduate of Rose Hill High School, had attended Kentucky State University and Eastern Kentucky University. She was a member of the Mercer County Homemakers for 52 years and past president of the Board of Missions at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a former United Way board member, a member of Habitat for Humanity and the Gideon Auxiliary.
She was a charter member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for a number of years, a former pianist and song leader.
Survivors include: her husband, Milton Catlett, Jr., Harrodsburg; two sons, Robert "Bobby" (Rosa) Catlett, Harrodsburg, Jerry Dale (Cathy) Catlett, Lexington; one daughter, Penny Catlett Whiteside, Harrodsburg; one sister, Thelma Long, Mercer County; six grandchildren, five step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 10, at the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church with George Woodliff and Robert Johnson officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Trayner, Don Guay, Herbert Cox, Hugh Philips, Carroll Gritton, William Carey, Darryl Catlett and Sherman McMichael.

VIRGINIA FLANNERY
Virginia Flannery, 79, of Burgin, died Sunday, June 10, 2001 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born February 3, 1922 in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Ora and Lula Johnson Smith. She was the widow of Hargis Flannery.
She was a retired nurse’s aid for Kentucky State Hospital, and a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church where she was in the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Survivors include: one brother, Billy Smith, TN; two sisters, Aileen Martin, FL and Evelyn Eades, Memphis, TN; one grandson, Donald Lewis Sexton, Burgin and two great grandsons. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Eades.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 13, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in Burgin Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Lewis Sexton, Brian Sexton, Tim Lewis, Justin Kendrick, Ray Coffman and Dawn Burger.

WILLIAM HUBER
William Maxwell Huber, 77, of Indiana-polis, IN, died Monday, June 11, 2001, in Community Hospital, South, Indianapolis.
Born September 17, 1923 in Cloverdale, IN, he was the son of the late William and Inez Smith Huber.
He was a retired cost accountant for General Motors after 32 years and was a member of Southport Baptist Church.
He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Johnettia Marie Eckert Huber, Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Carolyn M. Harper, Harrodsburg; one step daughter, Sherri L. Cochran, Camby, IN; two step sons, Jerry L. Grubbs and Robert A. Grubbs, both of Indianapolis; one brother, Robert Huber, Fillmore, IN; one sister, Donna Jean Ross, Greencastle, IN; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 13 at the Carlisle and Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville, IN, with Rev. Fred Oaks officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Waverly, IN.

ALBERTINE MOORE
Albertine Moore, 86, of Bonds Mill-Foxcreek Road, Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, June 7, 2001 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg.
Born August 30, 1914 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice Bunton McMurry. She was the widow of Ancil E. Moore.
She was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Greathouse, College Station, TX; one sister, Martha Jane DeCamp, New York; three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Henry Moore, and two brothers, Gordon McMurry and James McMurry.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Terry Morrison officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Church of Christ Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Greathouse, Mike Webster, G. W. Jenkins, Harold DeCamp, Arvin Webster and Joseph Sea.

PAUL SHANLEY
Paul R. Shanley, 84, of Lancaster Street in Stanford, died Thursday, June 7, 2001 at his residence.
Born February 5, 1917 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Ennis Shanley.
He was a government worker for the Hamilton County courthouse in Cincinnati, OH and a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Danville.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #345 John Logan, a veteran of World War II and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Coleman Shanley, Stanford; one daughter, Barbara Gordon Shewmaker, Harrodsburg; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Danville, Monday, June 11, with Rev. Paul Prabell officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Hester, Tom Powers, Buck Cooper, Earl Lee Taylor, Alan Burnside and John Smith.
Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice or Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Danville.

ADA BISHOP
Ada Jewell Best Bishop, 79, of 1004 Woodfern Way, Fern Creek, formerly of Mercer County, died Friday, June 8, 2001 at her home.
Born January 22, 1922 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James Burnett and Vicia Bottoms Best.
She was retired from the old Highview Christian Academy School where she served as manager of the lunchroom.
She was a graduate of Rose Hill High School and a member of the Buechel Church of Christ.
Survivors include: her husband, R. D. Bishop, two sons, Gary and Larry Bishop, twin daughters, Glenda Giles and Brenda Ludwick, one sister, Eunice Best Cocanougher, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Walter Best, Harrodsburg, Billy Best, Mercer County; 10 grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Bishop, two brothers, Elmer and Edward Best.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 11, at the Fern Creek Funeral Home, Fern Creek, with J. H. Burns and Terry Morrison officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons.

Fayrene F. Bohon, 84, of Bradenton, and Clearwater, FL, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at Westchester Gardens in Clearwater, FL.
Born in Harrodsburg September 12, 1916, she moved from Harrodsburg to Florida in 1983.
She was a homemaker and a Protestant.
Survivors include: three nieces, Vickie Bernard, Bradenton, FL, Catherine Combs, DeFuniak Spring, FL, and Donna Craig, Lexington; one nephew, James Lankford, Melbourne, FL.
