KATHY CUNNINGHAM

Kathy Renae Stiltner Cunningham, 29, of 240 Kirkwood Road, Salvisa, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born January 10, 1972 in Lexington, she was the daughter of Harold and Shelia Stiltner of Frankfort.

She was the purchasing administrator for Buffalo Trace Distillery and a member of Peaks Mill Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include: her husband, William "Billy Bob" Cunningham, Frankfort, one daughter, Casey Cunningham, Frankfort; three step daughters, Mesha, Amber and Kelly Cunningham, all of Frankfort; her maternal grandmother, Norma Cooper, Beatyville.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 29, at the Clark-Sunset Funeral Home, 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort with Rev. Billy Perkins officiating.

Pallbearers were Charlie Moore, Clarence Miller, Jamey Cunningham, Jamie Kinder, Danny Holliday and Billy Smith.

LISA GRAHAM

Lisa Dean Graham, 39, of 419 Elm Street, died Friday, December 28, 2001 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

Born August 17, 1962 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of JoAnn Dean Venters of Harrodsburg and the late John C. Dean.

She had worked as a bookkeeper, was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church and was active in the United Way for a number of years.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include: one son, Richard Dean Graham, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Katherine Rose Graham, Harrodsburg; two brothers, John Dean Jr., Harrodsburg, and Jeffery M. Dean, Crossville, TN; one sister, Rita Paynter, Mt. Orah, OH; her fiancé, Tommy Freeman, Burgin. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Elaine Colter.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 30, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lewis Walter officiating. Burial was in the Cornishville Christian Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ted Dean, Earl Patrick Dean, Hadden Dean, Doug Greenburg, Matt Burks and Danny Taylor.

EVA HAHN

Eva Mae Hahn, 85, of 406 Reed Drive, Frankfort, died Sunday, December 30, 2001 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born November 18, 1916 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late C. D. Ransdell, Sr. and Lena Bunton Ransdell. She was the widow of Jack Hahn.

She was a retired accountant for Kentucky Department of Human Resources and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Jane Gumm, Frankfort; one son, Frank Hahn, Frankfort; two brothers, C. D. Ransdell, Jr. Harrodsburg, Earl Ransdell, Harrodsburg; one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Burgin, two brothers, A. L. (Sammy) Ransdell and Herbert Ransdell.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 2, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Terry Morrison and Ken Underwood officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Davis Lawson, David Ransdell, William Earl Ransdell, Larry Peyton, Kevin Perkins, Preston Burgin and Joe Stevens. Honorary bearers were nieces and Clara P. Karsner.

RONNIE LEATHERS

Ronnie G. "Butch" Leathers, 48, of 800 East Drive, Danville, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 in Richmond.

Survivors include: his wife, Kaytrina Conder Leathers, Danville, formerly of Harrodsburg; one son, Carl Edward Leathers, Richmond; one daughter, Kristina G. Leathers, Danville; his parents, Carl and Lena Leathers, Danville; two sisters, Martha Smith, Stanford and Becky King, Danville; one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 29, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Danville. Burial was in Bellevue cemetery in Danville.

Memorials are suggested to Optimist Youth Fund and/or the Centenary United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Stith Funeal Home was in charge of arrangements.

ELMER McGINNIS

Elmer Ray McGinnis, 56, Alford Road, Salvisa, died Saturday, December 29, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born December 5, 1945 at Nevada, he was the son of the late Elmer Lee and Rebecca Broughton McGinnis.

He was a retired NC programmer for the Square D Company of Lexington and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, a member of the VFW and the Anderson County Sportsman's Club. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Survivors include: his wife, Diane McGinnis, Salvisa; one daughter, Melissa McGinnis Chapman, Lawrenceburg; one step son, Jamie Sewell, Harrodsburg; one step daughter, Jennifer Sewell, Winchester; one half-brother, William Raymond (Sue) Ward, Harrodsburg; five step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Forrest McGinnis, Daniel "Tucker" McGinnis, Warren L. "Jackie" McGinnis; one sister, Blanch Lawson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2002 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. James Byrd officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Mitchell, Jack Brogle, Phillip Young, Bob Toler, B. J. Stidham, Bob VanArsdall and Robert Prather. Honorary bearer will be Thomas Chapman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson County Sportsman's Club.

Visitation from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

FLORENCE MONSON

Florence T. Monson, 102, of Harrodsburg Health Care, died Friday, December 28, 2001 at the James. B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born November 18, 1899, in Clark County, she was the widow of David Allen Monson and the daughter of the late T. C. Birch and Minerva Dee Bailey.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Kidville Homemakers Club and a member of the Broadway Christian Church in Lexington.

Survivors include: one son, Robert (Leona) Monson, Mercer County, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 31, at the Scobee Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial was in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Len Sweeney, Walter Hunt, Bobby Birch, Keith Ruthenburg, Steve Birch, Jim Berry, Bill Berry, Edward Stone and Lester Spencer.

OMIE MOORE

Omie R. Moore, 97, of Salvisa, died Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at Bee Hive Home, Lawrenceburg.

Born June 13, 1904 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Bishop Holman. She was the widow of Redman G. Moore.

She was a homemaker and member of Salvisa Christian Church.

Survivors include: two sons, George O. Moore, Salvisa, Eulas Moore, Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters and five half brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Mounts and Rev. Don Deweese officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery.

Visitation at the chapel from 4:00 to 8:00 Wednesday and prior to the hour of service on Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the Salvisa Christian Church.

MYRTLE PENICK

Myrtle Jackson Penick, 93, of 136 Fonville, Martin, TN died Friday, December 28, 2001, in Murray.

Born June 17, 1908 in Obion County, TN, she was the daughter of the late John Andrew Jackson and Mittie Hayes Jackson. She was the widow of William Tommie Penick, Sr.

She, along with her husband, formerly owned and operated Penick Clothing Store in Martin, TN. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Martin.

Survivors include: three sons, William Tommie Penick Jr., Greenville, SC, Michael Hayes Penick, Orlando, FL, and John G. Penick, Danville, formerly of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Thomasine Wadley, Bolivar, TN and Mildred Elizabeth Horton, Nashville, TN; one sister, Mildred Roney, Union City, TN; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 31, at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin with Elwood Doss officiating. Burial was in the East Side Cemetery, Martin, TN.

Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

MAMIE SEARCY

Mamie B. Willard Kinder Searcy, 88, of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, December 28, 2001 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.

Born September 13, 1913 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Slateral and Burrita Sayre Willard. She was the widow of Sherman Searcy and Harrison Franklin Kinder.

She was a housewife and a member of the Glensboro Christian Church.

Survivors include: four daughters, Alline (Jessie) Spaulding, Harrodsburg, Jenny (Roland) Leathers, and Pauline Clark, all of Lawrenceburg, Joyce (Johnny Carroll) Spaulding, Shelbyville; two sons, David (Vickie) Kinder, Lawrenceburg, Jerry (Kathy) Kinder, Frankfort; 16 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and James Kinder; one sister, Loraine Miley; four brothers, Raymond, Carl, Tommy and John Willard.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 31, at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg, with Bro. Kenny Robinson and Bro. George Dye officiating. Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles Searcy, Collis Searcy, Forrest Searcy, Ray Searcy, Harrison Spaulding, and Orville Thomas Willard.
