Carolyn "Cottie" McLean Sullivan, 75, died Monday, December 24, 2001.
Born in Stanford, September 15, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Lois M. McLean.
She was a graduate of Centre College and had been an active member of the New Providence Presbyterian Church. She had served as Ruling Elder, treasurer and pianist. She was one of three trustees for the New Providence cemetery Fund and served many years as treasurer. Her father was a former minister of the church.
Survivors include: her husband, John A. Sullivan, Kenansville, FL; five daughters, Faye Bosley, Danville, Kay Horrigan, Charlotte, NC, Becky Wierzbinski, Lexington, Libby Best, Paducah and Kim Stamper, Frankfort; two sisters, Mary Ella Young, Lexington, and Lois McLeod, Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

GENEVA THORNTON
Geneva Mae Thornton, 89, of Dry Ridge, died Saturday, December 29, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
She was a retired teacher from the Grant County School System after 31 years, a Kentucky Colonel and member of the Grant County Retired Teachers Association.
She was a member of Dry Ridge Baptist Church and the WMU.
Survivors include: one daughter, Janice Souder, Harrodsburg; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thornton.
Funeral services were held at the Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, on Monday, December 31. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

BONNIE BLANKENSHIP
Bonnie Coleman Blankenship, 81, of 180 Adams Lane, died Thursday, January 3, 2002 at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born March 17, 1920 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lyndsey and Rosalee Trower Elerd. She was the widow of Hunter L. Coleman and C. R. "Buck" Blankenship.
She had worked at Shakertown for a number of years. She was a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church, past Girl Scout leader, past president of Burgin PTA, was instrumental in organizing Mercer County Little League, and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include: a son, Hunter L. Coleman Jr., Burgin; one daughter, Linda Coleman Herndon, Harrodsburg; one sister, Lyndall Houchins, Harrodsburg; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen McLawhorn.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 5, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with Rollin Tarter officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jay Mobley, David Mobley, Grayson Herndon, Aaron Mobley, Jack Coleman Jr., and Jack Leonard. Honorary bearers were Godbey and Bobby Roney, Hunter Burton and Dr. Charles Hatcher.

WILLIAM DURR
William Durr, 81, of 831 College Street, died Tuesday, January 8, 2002 at his residence.
Born May 15, 1920 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late George and Cordelia Claunch Durr.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include: three brothers, Morris Durr and Leslie Durr, both of Harrodsburg, and Chandler Durr, FL; five sisters, Beulah Fae Bugg, Dennia Norton, Bea Gritton, Melvina Cheatham and Virginia Robertson, all of Harrodsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with James Harley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Durr, Phillip Durr, Harry Kimmey, Robert Langford, Marshall Sims Jr., and Earl Watts. Honorary bearers will be Armond Bottom, Ralph Ransdell, Marsha Noel, Patricia Jackson, Judy McAninch, William Morris Durr, Eddie Horn, Larry Sims and Stanley Watts.

LYMAN FISHER
Lyman Porter Fisher, 77, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Nicholasville, died Saturday, January 5, 2002 at his residence.
Born March 10, 1924 in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Katherine Donuugh.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church and ministered to inmates in the communities of Rockcastle, Harrison and Jessamine counties.
Survivors include: his wife, Allene Tate Fisher; two sons, David (Donna Sue) Fisher, Mercer County, and Lyman (Debra) Fisher Jr. of Mt. Vernon, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Fisher.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 8, at the Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home in Nicholasville with Rev. Robert Ginn officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Nicholasville.
Pallbearers were Loyd Ackett, Bob McFathige, Ben Richards, Jessie Johnson, Amos Walker and James Tate.

DOUGLAS HUDSON
Douglas Keith Hudson, 57, of 721 Sharpsville Road, died Friday, January 4, 2002 at his residence of an apparent heart attack.
Born April 1, 1944 in Washington County, he was the son of Mallie Helen Royalty Blacketer, of Louisville, and the late Bernis Hudson.
He was a retired machinist with CSX Transportation and a member of the Mt. Freedom Baptist Church.
He was a member and Past Master of Fairdale Masonic Lodge #942, a member of the Oleika Shrine Temple and Scottish Rites in Louisville.
He was a 1962 graduate of Fern Creek High School and served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Alice Dee Robinson Hudson, Harrodsburg; one son, Douglas Keith (Bobbi) Hudson II, Louisville; one daughter, Alisa Dawn Wilhelm, Washington County; one sister, Bernice Baswell, Jeffersonville, IN; one brother, Allen H. (LaQuita) Hudson, Taylorsville; his step father, Omar Blacketer, Louisville; his mother-in-law, Eunice Robinson, Washington County; one grandson.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 7, at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with Bro. Dan Powell and Bro. Cal Adams officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg cemetery with military rites. There was a Masonic service on Sunday.
Pallbearers were Dustin Goodlett, Kyle Goodlett, Jacob Sea, Allen Hudson, Gary Royalty and Jerry Royalty. Honorary bearers were Jimmy Dale Hawthorne, Roy Burkhead, Steve Burkhead, Steve Goodlett, Steve Sea and Bill Morgan.

MATTIE ISHAM
Mattie Lee Isham, 97, of Savanna, IL died Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at her residence.
Born July 16, 1904 in Mackville, she was the daughter of the late James and Sally Shewmaker Votaw. She was the widow of Reuel T. Isham.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting.
Survivors include: four daughters, Mable (Chuck) Kalous, Cincinnati, OH, Shirley Zink, Savanna, IL, Patricia (Delbert) Rogers and Louise Sipes, both of DeKalb, IL; one son, Reuel (Judy) Isham, Jr., Sycamore, IL, 58 grandchildren and a number of great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lucille Mannis and Lorine Sipes, two sons, Edwin and James Isham, two granddaughters, one grandson, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 5, at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll, IL with Rev. Charles Kalous officiating. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery in DeKalb, IL.

HERMAN McMULLIN
Herman McMullin, 85, Dixie Manor, died Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 23, 1916 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Seth and Florence Deshazer McMullin.
He was a retired farmer, a member of the Cornishville Christian Church and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include: his wife, Susie Devine McMullin, Harrodsburg; two sons, Hanley Lee (Annetta) McMullin, Harrodsburg, Aubrey J. (Hope) McMullin, Harrodsburg; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hallie McMullin and two brothers, Richard and J. D. McMullin.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 5, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Curtis Sims and Donald Litteral officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian McMullin, Patrick McMullin, Marty McMullin, Keith Dean, Mike Dean, Greg Brown, David Curtis Ransdell, Marvin Lawson and Dudley Huffman, Jr. Honorary bearers were the Cornishville Christian Church Men's Sunday School Class and T. C. Claunch.

HANLY MOBLEY
Hanly Mobley, 68, of 1751 Bruner's Chapel Road, died Friday, January 4, 2002 at his residence.
Born April 29, 1933 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Dewey and Myrtle Coker Mobley.
He was a retired self-employed auto dealer and auto body repairman.
Survivors include: his wife, Annetta Steele Mobley, Harrodsburg; one son, Tony Mobley, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Carolyn Peavler, Indianapolis, IN; four brothers, Ernest, Garnett and Howard Mobley, all of Harrodsburg, and Minor Mobley, Mercer County; two sisters, Cornell Reynolds, Harrodsburg and Joyce Britton, Cornishville; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and three step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen DeRossett.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 7, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Paul Readnour and Jack Geurin officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Britton, Danny Mobley, Michael Bruce, Tommy Reynolds, Eddie Mobley and Minor Wayne Mobley.
