Tolla Belle Ritter Hill, 87, of N. Third Street, Danville, formerly of Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, January 24, 2002 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born December 23, 1914 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late James Harlan and Laura Belle Masters Ritter. She was the widow of Wilbur Hill.
She was a retired nurse's aide at King's Daughters Hospital in Frankfort and a member of the Alton Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Ellen McDonald, Grantsboro, NC; two sons, Billy Joe (Betty Jean) Hill, and Lindsay Wayne (Treva) Hill, both of Harrodsburg; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Ritter.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 26, at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tyre Denney and Bro. Kirk Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Pigeon Fork cemetery in Shelby County.
Pallbearers were Bill Hill, Chad Hill, Bobby Stivers, Ronnie Hill, Larry Akins and Craig Akins. Honorary bearers were Glenda Zopff, Beverly Goodpaster, Beth Hill, Shawn Hill, Tina Hill, and Betty Jo Richmond.

MICHAEL HUFF
Michael "Mike" Tilford Huff, 83, of 1181 Ben Ali Drive, Danville, died Sunday, January 27, 2002 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born April 30, 1918 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Margaret McCrystal Huff.
He was a retired employee for Kentucky State Hospital and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Margaret W. McCrystal Huff, Danville; one step son, Gerald DeNise, MI; one step daughter, Katherine Aldridge, OH; eight step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 30, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church with Father Joseph Muench officiating. A prayer service was held Tuesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Miracle, Steve Miracle, Jim Ed Williams, Hugh Sam Williams, David Wayne DeNise and Aaron Austin.
Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew Catholic Church, American Cancer Society or Kidney Foundation of Central Kentucky.

JESSICA LAWSON
Jessica Bryn Lawson, three months and 12 days old, of London, died Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the Mary Mount Medical Center.
Born October, 17, 2001 she was the infant daughter of Michael and Lynette Rogers Lawson of London.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include: one brother, Adam Lawson, London; maternal grandparents, Bill and Brenda Rogers, Harrodsburg; paternal grandparents, Lowell and Patricia Lawson, Willie B. and Ava Jewell Horn and Owen Rogers; great great grandmother, Lillie Long.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home, London, with Dr. Terry Lester officiating. Burial will be in the A. R. Dyche Memorial Park, London.
Visitation from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

HAZEL LESTER
Hazel Virginia Trout Lester, 82, of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, January 27, 2002 at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born September 30, 1919 in Harriman, TN she was the daughter of the late William and Maggie Plemmons Luffman Trout. She was the widow of Varner Lester.
She was a retired homemaker and a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Survivors include: three daughters, Anita (Jerry) Bruce, Versailles; Leona Gay (Doug) O'Banion, Harrodsburg; Virginia "Jenny" Trout (Danny) Yates, Harrodsburg; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. George M. Trout and Alex Trout, one sister, Bertha Trout and one step brother, Billy Luffman.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 30, at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Bruce, Kenneth R. Cole and Rick Snyder officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob McFatridge, Billy Wayne Trout, Tim Estes, Phillip Estes, David Cole and Steven Cole. Honorary bearers were members of NOEL Sunday School class and the Hopewell Homemakers.

PAUL RAWLINGS
Paul J. Rawlings, 79, of East Office Street, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born February 27, 1922, he was the son of the late Ezekiel J. and Callie Metts Rawlings.
He was a retired service manager for Mercer Motors and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where he was active in the Saints Alive Choir.
Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth Ann Roberts Rawlings, Harrodsburg; two sons, Billy Lewis (Garnetta) Rawlings and Johnny Lynn (Patty) Rawlings, Mercer County; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Lee Rawlings.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will begin after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

HADGIE ROSS
Hadgie Yaste Ross, 94, of Willisburg, died Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born October 23, 1907 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Mattie Hendren Yaste. She was the widow of Wilbur Ross.
She was a member of the Willisburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one son, Leroy (Beulah) Ross, Willisburg; one daughter, Lavern (Harold) Thomas, Mt. Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Loraine (Annelle) Ross, Harrodsburg and Artie Ross, Lawrenceburg, three brothers, Shirley Yaste, Cardwell, Marshall Yaste, Cornishville and Ernest Yaste, Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Hollie Ross, and a brother, Russell Yaste.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at the Carey and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Burnice Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery at Willisburg.
Pallbearers will be Roy Lee Ross, Terry Carney, Mike Carter, Kenneth Carney, Trevor Hardin and Donald Ross.

CAROLYN STEPHENS
Carolyn Jenkins Stephens, 79, of 575 Arden Avenue, died Monday, January 28, 2002, at her residence.
Born September 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Sallie Banks Jenkins. She was the widow of William Douglas Stephens.
She was a retired seamstress for the former Cricketeer Manufacturing Company, a graduate of McAfee High School and a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include: three sons, Gene (Liz) Stephens, Calhoun, GA, Kenny (Melody) Stephens, Harrodsburg, Randy Stephens, Harrodsburg; four daughters, Mrs. Penny (Judy) Derringer, and Mrs. Genie (Toni) Sims, both of Harrodsburg, Mrs. Tom (Patricia) Edwards, Richmond, Mrs. Dwayne (Charlene) Buster, Harrodsburg; three sisters, Ruby Coslow, Nellie Ward and Marie Jenkins, all of Harrodsburg; 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Carole Smith, five brothers, Estle, William, Fred, Harvey and Paul Jenkins, one sister, Lizzie Rae Beasley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Gary Bagwell, James Hahn and Tom Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Patrick and Timmy Bryant, Chris Clark, John and Kelly Derringer, Jason Smith, Shannon and Travis Stephens. Honorary bearers will be grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at the funeral chapel.

CASEY STILES
Casey Cowan Stiles, 41, of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002.
Born April 18, 1960 in Broken Arrow, OK, he was a son of Sue White Stiles and the late William Henry Stiles.
He was a 1979 graduate of Broken Arrow High School and served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a helicopter pilot from 1982-1993. He moved to Harrodsburg in 1991 and began flying helicopters for Kentucky Utilities.
His hobbies included his love of flying helicopters and gyrocopters and playing the bagpipes. He was president of the Brotherhood Ultralight Rotary Wing Pilots Association.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Luanne Gibson Stiles, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Corey Nicholle Stiles, Harrodsburg; three brothers, Jamie, Scott, and his twin brother, Andy Stiles, all of Tulsa, OK.
Committal services will be at a later date in Oklahoma.

Douglas Laws Post #52, American Legion, Post #6935, VFW and DAV Post #54 conducted Military Rites for Willie Roy Freeman at Camp Nelson National cemetery on January 24, 2002.
