Vivian "Mickey" Rose Bachus, 81, of Rockport, TX, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at Plantation Health Care Center in Lake Jackson, TX.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and painting.
Survivors include: her husband, Doug Bachus, Rockport, TX; four daughters, Anne (Bob) Linkous, Harrodsburg, Susanne (David) Clark, San Antonio, TX, Cathy Braniff, Houston, TX, Michelle (Greg) Flaniken, Lake Jackson, TX; one son, Pat (Pam) Black, Kingwood, TX; one stepdaughter, Roxanne (Don) Stoker, Snyder, TX; one stepson, Loyd Bachus, Snyder, TX; eight grandchildren, including Carmen (Chris) Freeman, Harrodsburg and Traci (Derek) Robbins, Hustonville; three step grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John M. Black.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 7, at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Deacon Wallace Shaw officiating.

GROVER BRUMMETT
Grover C. Brummett, 81, of Louisville, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the Caritas Medical Center in Louisville.
Born April 9, 1920 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Joseph and Nellie Davenport Ashford Brummett.
He was a salesman for Neil-Laville Company, having retired after 35 years, a Jefferson County Honorary Deputy Sheriff and member of the Kentucky Cutlery.
He was a veteran of World War II, a survivor of the Bataan Death March and was a prisoner of war for three and one half years.
Survivors include: his wife, Evangeline Wiser Brummett, Louisville; two daughters, Debra Ann (George) Ezzell, Louisville, and Kim Savage, Cordella, GA; two sisters, Gladys Watkins and Minnie Reed; one step son, Terry Eugene Snyder, CA; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Jess Brummett.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 9, at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville. Burial was in the Evergreen Mausoleum.
Memorials are suggested to the Kosair Childrens Hospital/Valley Chapel of Prayer.

MARY LAPSLEY
Mary Alma Lapsley, 78, of Schaumburg, IL, formerly of Mercer County, died Monday, February 4, 2002 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in IL.
Born May 6, 1923 in McAfee, she was the daughter of the late William Davis and Anita English Lapsley.
She was a retired United Airlines specialist.
Survivors include her uncle, Tom Lapsley of Lexington.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 10, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. John Jones officiating. Burial was in the New Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charlie Burton, Stephen Terhune, David Mangum, Harry (Buddy) Terhune IV, Jim Lapsley and Herk Caruthers.

JAMES LOGUE
James Arnold Logue, 59, of 600 Ashwood Ct., died Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born October 31, 1942 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late James Weldon Logue and Pearl Settles Logue Carrier.
He was an employee of the City of Harrodsburg and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Betsy Yocum Logue, Harrodsburg; two sons, James (Bo) Logue and Michael Travis Logue, both of Harrodsburg; a special nephew, Lonnie Cornish, Lawrenceburg; one brother, Dennis Ray Carrier, Laport, IN; four sisters, Dorothy (Bobby) Bottoms and Betty (Michael) Bugg, both of Harrodsburg, Mary (Bill) Durham and Wanda (Monty) Wilkerson, both of Danville; two grandchildren, Ashton LaShay Logue and Addison Marie Logue, St. Petersburg, FL. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Logue Russell and his step-father, Raymond Carrier.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 9, at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. James Harley, Bobby Logue and C. J. Yocum officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chad Pinkston, Evans Stevie Stewart, Jason Bottoms, Taylor Lunsford, Donald Logue, Denny Russell, Marvin Dearinger and Hollis Carrier. Honorary bearers were Sherman Sires, Wallace Smock, Bill Quinn, Donald Wayne Goodlett, Bill Harris, Joe Carrier, Ruben Dearinger, Donald Ball and James Brumett.

CLELLAN SATTERLY
Clellan Satterly, 97, of College Manor, died Monday, February 11, 2002 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born May 13, 1904 in Washington County, he was the son of the late John and Laura Coleman Satterly.
He was a retired farm machinery mechanic and was a Mayes and Sims Implement Company employee for a number of years.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, an avid fisherman and gardener.
Survivors include: his wife, Lena Barnett Satterly, Harrodsburg; one son, Hugh (Wanda) Satterly, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Patsy (Tim) Owens, Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: a son, Donald Lee Satterly; a granddaughter, Judy Carolyn Satterly; four sisters, Nettie Peavler, Rettie Sims, Lettie Sea and Verna Harber; and two brothers, Marshal and J. C. Satterly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Geurin and Bro. David Culp officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane Satterly, Bill Curry, Wayne Richards, Mark Watts, Glenn Peavler and Jackie Griffey.
Visitation from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.

Douglas Laws Post #52, American Legion, Post #6935, VFW and DAV Post #54 conducted Military Rites for Wallace Donald White at Spring Hill cemetery on February 9, 2002.

BRIAN CHEATHAM
Brian K. "Squig" Cheatham, 33, of 563 Spring Hill Drive, Danville, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, February 12, 2002 in Madison County.
Born December 19, 1968 in Mercer County, he was the son of Harry "Butch" Cheatham of Mercer County and the late Carolyn Ragle.
He was a Baptist, enjoyed working on cars, working with electricity and was a comedian.
Survivors, in addition to his father, are: his wife, Lynn Gollihue Cheatham, Irvine; one daughter, Heather Nicole Cheatham, Irving; his stepmother, Wandola Cheatham, Mercer County, maternal grandmother, Mary Rose Bugg, Harrodsburg; two stepbrothers, W. T. Sparrow of Lexington, Richard L. Sparrow, Harrodsburg, a half sister, Barbi Maupin, Danville, two stepsisters, Mary Belle Roy and Kim Sparrow Lowery, both of Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Dennis Sparrow.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 16, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Williams officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy Sanford, Keith Royalty, John Roy, Richard Sparrow, Richy Lowery and Greg Maupin, Honorary bearers were Ricky Lee Sparrow, Casey Sparrow, Earl Denny, Brian Royalty and Travis Sparrow.

ANNA COCANOUGHER
Anna Cochran Cocanougher, 94, of Chestnut Street, died Friday, February 15, 2002 at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 23, 1907, she was a daughter of the late James Lewis and Katherine Brown Peter Cochran. She was the widow of Tommie Logan Cocanougher.
She was a retired schoolteacher and had taught in Mercer and Washington counties. She was a member of the Mackville Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Betty Parrott, Harrodsburg; one brother, Louis B. Cochran, Lexington; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Lorraine Cochran.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 18, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with J. H. Burns and Phillip Yates officiating. Burial was in the Peter Cemetery, Mackville.
Pallbearers were Mark Parrott, Shane Satterly, Dan Johnson, Tony Gray, J. H. Settles and Garland Yankey.
Memorials are suggested to the Mackville Baptist Church.

MARVIN GIBSON
Marvin L. Gibson, 93, of Perryville, died Friday, February 15, 2002 in Harrodsburg.
Born in Washington County, he was a son of the late Hugh and Eunice Wayne Gibson. He was the widower of Edna Powell Gibson.
Survivors include: one son, Roy Leon Gibson, Perryville; one sister, Lula Gabhart, Springfield; one brother, Garnett Gibson, Perryville; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William Hugh Gibson.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 17, at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. James Moore officiating.

ANNIE MEREDITH
Annie Meredith, 86, of Wingfield, KY died Monday, February 18, 2002 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.
Born February 6, 1916 in Bee Spring, KY, she was the daughter of the late Abbie and Kate Duvall Meridith. She was the widow of Rev. John "Henry" Meredith.
She was a housewife.
Survivors include: six sons, Hubert Wayne Meredith, Louisville, John Kelly Meredith, Bowling Green, Kenneth Wade Meredith, Harrodsburg, Bobby Joe Meredith, Larry Steve Meredith and Michael Anthony Meredith, all of Wingfield; one daughter, Anna Mae Butler, Brentwood, TN; 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Estill Leon Meredith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, at the Wingfield United Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Patton officiating. Burial will be in Wingfield Church cemetery in Bowling Green.
Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, Brownsville, and from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wingfield Baptist Church.
