Christine Willard Gabhart, 88, of Harrodsburg Road, Lawrenceburg, died Friday, March 22, 2002 at Heritage Hall Care Center in Lawrenceburg.
Born May 31, 1913 in Anderson County. She was the daughter of the late Omar and Helen Peak Willard. She was the widow of Truman Gabhart.
She was a homemaker and a member of Goshen Baptist Church, and Anderson County Senior Citizens.
Survivors include: one daughter, Dallas Faye (Hollis) Ruble, Macon, GA; three sons, Darrell Wayne (Ann) Gabhart, Lawrenceburg, Bobby Gene (Kathleen) Gabhart and Rudy Allen (Patricia) Gabhart, all of Mackville; three sisters, Kathryn Long, Mt. Eden, Annie Pearl (Maurice) Gatewood, Lawrenceburg, and Mary Jane Samples, Frankfort; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Truman Gabhart and a granddaughter, Selina Faith Ruble, and one brother.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 24, at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Fred Knickerbocker and Bro. Cal Adams officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Gabhart, Daniel Gabhart, Kevin Gabhart, Matthew Gabhart, Shawn Gabhart, Jeff Ruble, Allen Beasley and Travis Bowen.

LEO HARRIS
Leo Bert Harris, 88, of Cornishville Road, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at his residence.
A native of Casey County, he was born March 25, 1913, son of the late George Marion and Nancy Jane Taylor Harris.
He was a former truck driver for Anchor Motor Freight in Norwood, OH and had served as an ambulance driver for the CCC Camp in Lafayette, IN.
He enjoyed traveling and fishing and was a member of Lawrenceburg United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Stella Lanham Harris, Harrodsburg; three daughters, Stella Alene McClain, Georgetown, Agnes Janet Lowery, Lexington, and June Ann Kirkpatrick, Harrodsburg; one son, Albert Lee Harris, Willisburg; one sister, Georgia Slone, Lancaster; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 23, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home. Burial was in the Lanham Cemetery, Casey County.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Albert Harris Jr., Eugene McClain, Phillip McClain, Johnny Lowery, Jason Lowery, Eddie Kirkpatrick, Ricky Kirkpatrick and David Kirkpatrick.

SALLY HOURIGAN
Sally Ann Tyler Hourigan, 81, Shakertown Road, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born March 6, 1921 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Rusha Lee Bottoms Tyler. She was the widow of Kenneth Hourigan.
She was a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church, a retired Cricketeer employee and had operated a Mini Home for a number of years.
She enjoyed growing flowers.
Survivors include: one daughter, Carolyn Hourigan Brown, Louisville; one brother, Donald Tyler, Mercer County; two sisters, Mary Katherine Devine, Harrodsburg, and Bettie Mae Murphy, Lexington; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Whitehouse officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm. Thursday and after 7 am. Friday at the funeral home.

LOWELL JACKSON JR.
Lowell T. Jackson Jr., 38, of N. College St., died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at his residence.
Born June 10, 1963 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Lowell Thomas and Jane Gayle Bugg Jackson.
He was an engineer technician for Hitachi Automotive and attended Ellers Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include: two sons, Michael Thomas Jackson and Kenneth Levi Jackson, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Wayne Jackson, Mercer County; one sister, Sherry Doyle, Nashville, TN; paternal grandmother, Sue Jackson, Harrodsburg; and maternal grandmother, Opal Claunch, Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 26, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with J. H. Burns officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenny Beasley, John Shewmaker, Jerome Coyle, Todd Isham, David Brown and Mike Brown.
Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice or American Cancer Society.

HALDON YATES
Haldon Norton 'Shorty' Yates, 79, of Ada Drive, died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born October 17, 1922 in Dugansville, he was the son of the late Harve and Mattie Norton Yates.
He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of World War II and a retired restaurant owner.
He owned White Cottage Restaurant on Lexington Street, for 48 years.
He was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, a lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW and was a former member and officer of the Harrodsburg Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include: his wife, Sylvia Tyler Yates, Harrodsburg; one stepson, Paul Abercrombie Jr., Nicholasville; one sister, Wilma Corn, Harrodsburg; one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mae Hale, Bonnie Reed and Nanna Lou Sanders; three brothers, Herbert Yates, Powell Yates and Henry Yates.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 23, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. John David Lane, Dr. Robert DeFoor and Bro. Jim Powell officiating. Burial with military honors was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Yates, David Hopewell, Billy Mack Gritton, Jack Hankla, Bob Baughman, Tom Baughman, Bill Baughman, David Baker, Ricky VanArsdall and John Kolossa. Honorary bearers were Ray Bugg and former employees of the White Cottage Restaurant

Douglas Laws Post #52, American Legion, Post #6935, VFW and DAV Post #54 conducted Military Rites for Haldon Yates at Spring Hill cemetery on March 23, 2002.

In the obituary of Clyde Hawthorne, who died March 15, Nancy Hawthorne was inadvertently listed as his wife and as a sister-in-law. Nancy Hawthorne is a sister-in-law. There should have been on wife listed.

DOROTHY BRADSHAW
Dorothy A. Bradshaw, 91, of Chicago, IL, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 in Chicago.
She was a native of Ohio, born September 29, 1910. She was the widow of Louis Bradshaw.
She was a graduate of Aberdean College, a musician and led a band for several years.
She had worked in the cosmetic industry for a number of years in Cleveland, OH.
Survivors include: one son, Dale (Betty) McLean, Chicago, IL; one brother, William (Connie) Drake, Albuquerque, NM; one brother-in-law, Bill Bradshaw, Burgin; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1l:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at Burgin Memorial Gardens.
Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation.

LOU ELLA BUCHANAN
Lou Ella Trisler Buchanan, 93, of Greenwood Drive, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born May 4, 1908 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Ella Mae Leathers Trisler. She was the widow of Walker Buchanan.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Dry Branch Baptist Church and the Mercer County Chorus. She was a lifetime member of the Homemakers Club.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. McKinley (Margaret) Anness, Harrodsburg, Mrs. Harvey (Nancy) Baker, Lawrenceburg, and Mrs. Jerry (Janet) Thacker of Burgin; two sons, George (Sue) Buchanan, and William Buchanan, both of Harrodsburg; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 30, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Releford officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Paul Horne, Glenn Lake, Perry Buchanan, Cecil Buchanan, Steve Horn, Bob Hronek and Jeremy Thacker. Honorary bearers were granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
