Robert L. Long, 66, of LeRoy, IL, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at his residence.
Born December 7, 1935 at Bondville, he was the son of George Bradley and the late Jessie Norton Long.
He was a member of the LeRoy Sportsman's Club and a member of Operating Engineers Local 649, Peoria, IL.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include: his wife, Ruby M. Glasscock Long, LeRoy, IL, three sons, Rick (Chris) Long, LeRoy, Danny (Jennifer) Long, Flanagan, IL, Kevin Long, LeRoy; three brothers, Jess (Jean) Long, Corbin, David (Gladys) Long, London, and Boyd (Corine) Long, Harrodsburg; three sisters, Arnetta (Carnell) Hendren, Louisville, Betty (G. W.) Barnes and Norene (Cleo) Baker, Harrodsburg; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Long.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 20 at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, IL with Rev. Bob Beckman officiating. Burial was in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, IL.

HATTIE SHAW
Hattie Pearl Shaw, 91, of Burgin, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born November 22, 1910 in Adair County, she was the daughter of the late Cora Thomas and Lora Brockman. She was the widow of Oscar Shaw.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Free Union Separate Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Norma Jones, Columbia, and Imogene McQueary, Burgin; one brother, Elvin Brockman, Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Estil, Everett and Ed Brockman, and two sisters, Della Weigel and Tressie Brockman.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 20, at the Free Union Separate Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Goff and Bro. Donnie Coffey officiating. Burial was in the Free Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scott Jones, Eric Price, Addis Shepherd, Winston Hadley, Wendell Hadley and Charles Shepherd.
Bernard Funeral Home, Russell Springs was in charge of arrangements.

HILDA STEVENS
Hilda Stevens, 75, of Dillsboro, IN, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at the Dearborn County Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Wade and Hadgie Riley Sims.
She was a retired line worker at Schenley Distillery at Greendale, an auxiliary member of Northcutt Laker American Legion Post No. 292, and a member of the Cornishville Christian Church.
Survivors include: four sons, John Anderson, Tom Anderson, Bill Stevens, Mike Stevens; one daughter, Annette Heffelfinger, all of Dillsboro; 13 grandchidren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 20, at Ulrich Filter Funeral Home in Dillsboro, IN. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery at Dillsboro.

James D. Graham, 84, of Ellicott, MD, formerly of Harrodsburg, died November 8, 2001 in Columbia, MD.
Interment of ashes and committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, at the Spring Hill Cemetery.

MILFORD HALL Sr.
Milford Gilmore Hall Sr., 86, of Louisville, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at Rockford Manor Nursing Home.
He was a native of Nelson County, a retired union bricklayer and an Army Air Corps veteran.
Survivors include: three sons, Milford G. Hall Jr., Donnie Hall and Bill Hall; two daughters, Fae Lowery and Jo Ann Tingle; one sister, Bessie Darland, Harrodsburg; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville. Burial was in St. Stephen Cemetery.

MARGARET PREWITT
Margaret L. Prewitt, 75, of Cheviot (Cincinnati), OH, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at Mercy/Franciscan Hospital, Western Hills Campus, Cincinnati.
Born March 5, 1927 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Laura Adams McGinnis. She was the widow of Virgil C. Prewitt.
Survivors include: three daughters, Patricia (Harvey) Sander and Marzetta (Dave) Brown, both of Cincinnati, and Rita (John) Marland of Somerset; one son, Ronald (Donna) Prewitt, Cincinnati, OH; five sisters, Lula Mae Bugg, Louise Campbell, and Ada Cooksey, all of Harrodsburg, Dorothy Foster, Hopkinsville, Betty Oswald, St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Jay McGinnis, Princeton, Ernest McGinnis, Slaughtersville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David McGinnis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 4, at the Bright Leaf Golf Resort Meeting Room. The family will receive friends, during a reception, from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m.

AILEEN SALLEE
Aileen E. Sallee, 93, of Jeffersonville, IN, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at the home of a niece in Sellersburg, IN.
She was a native of Harrodsburg.
Survivors include: one nephew, James Hulett, Harrodsburg; two nieces, Agnes W. Branham, Jeffersonville, IN and Mary Rose Royalty, Lexington.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 25 at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg. Burial was in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, on Friday.

RIKER VANARSDALL
Lt. Col. Riker VanArsdall, 81, of Pimlico Drive, Lexington, died Sunday, April 28, 2002 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born August 10, 1920 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Ormond and Mabel Currens VanArsdall.
He served with the Army Air Force during World War II and performed duties for the United States government in Vietnam. He was a Mormon.
Survivors include: his wife, Donna Marie Bagley VanArsdall, Lexington; two sons, Ormond VanArsdall, Quincy, FL, and Scott VanArsdall, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Doris Shea, West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 1, at Spring Hill cemetery with Bro. James Ison officiating.

JOHN WHITTAKER
John Whittaker, 53, of 1864 Bohon Road, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 12, 1948 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Garnett G. and Mary Frances Gayhart Whittaker.
He was a farmer and attended the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: two brothers, Dan (Kathy) Whittaker and Wayne (Helen) Whittaker, both of Harrodsburg; four sisters, Gayle (J. W.) Fister, Lexington, and Wanda (Steve) Crane, Etta Mae (Freddie) Bugg, and Shirley (Billy) Taylor, all of Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie James Whittaker.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Gary Story officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Vinyard, Scott McGinnis, Mike Darland, Rodney Click, Tim Darland, Terry Steele and Brent Steele. Honorary bearers were Lee Howard Releford, Billy Hollar, Philip Durr, Kenneth Whittaker, Othel Browning, Bobby Ross, Jimmy Keller and Rufus Carr.

Margaret Womack, 92, of Mercer County, died Sunday, April 28, 2002 at the Charleston Health Care Center in Danville.
Born January 16, 1910 in Key West, FL, she was the daughter of the late Jamie and Margaret Diaz Sanz.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Susanne Huxel, Harrodsburg and Linda Craig, FL.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at noon Saturday, May 4, at the St. Peter and Paul Church, Miami, FL, with Father Lopez officiating. Burial will be in the Flagler Memorial Park, Miami, FL.
