Robert H. Johnson, 76, of 351 Bacon Ct., Harrodsburg, died Monday June 3, 2002 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
Born November 17, 1925 in Metcalf County, he was the son of the late Frank and Ora Lee Gray Johnson.
He was a retired Presbyterian Minister having pastored churches in KY, FL, and TN. He was a member of Cumberland Presbytery, he was also former moderator for KY, FL, AL, MS Synod.
Survivors include: his wife, Genevie Johnson, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Marcia Ann Hughes, Fayetteville, TN and Sharon Kay Carpenter, Harrodsburg; one brother, E. E. Johnson, Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Kathryn Russell, Central City; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. (CST) Thursday, June 6, 2002 at the Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with Rev. James Byrd, Rev. Tom Cottingim and Rev. George Woodliff officiating. Burial will be in the Horse Cave Cemetery, Horse Cave.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Gray, Jerry Gray, Darris Russell, Dwayne Hahn, Mark Young, Brian Kennemer.
Visitation 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Central Time) Wednesday at the Winn Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

MELLA DEAN KIRK
Mella Dean Kirk, 66, Parsons Court, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born July 21, 1935 in Crittenden County, she was the daughter of the late James H. McMaster and Velda Croft of CA. She was the widow of Norman J. Kirk Sr.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
She was also a member of the Smithsonian Institute, the North American Blue Bird Society, the Landmark Association, Harrodsburg Historical Society and was the former caretaker of the Old Mud Meeting House.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by: her step-mother Alice McMaster, Rosa Clare, IL; one son, Norman J. Kirk Jr., Wichita, KS; two daughters, D. J. Kirk, Des Moines, IA and Mitzi Stephens, Jackson, MS; two sisters, Patricia Ann Lester, Harrodsburg and Polly Ann Quinn, Morganfield; three half brothers, four half-sisters; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 5, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

VALLEY MEGEE
Valley Carpenter Megee, 96, formerly of 433 Oak Street in Richmond, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at the Richmond Health and Rehabilitation complex ' Kenwood.
Born November 1, 1905 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Lee and Ella Foster Carpenter. She was the widow of William Dean Megee.
She graduated from Eastern Kentucky State Normal School and Teachers College in 1929 and taught school in Mercer County. She and her husband owned and operated Richmond Printers until 1965. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the EKU Alumni Association.
Survivors include: one daughter, Rebecca Stewart (Bennie Earl) Turner; two sisters, Beatrice Shuel, Princeton, IN and Evelyn Warner, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Frank Carpenter, Harrodsburg and Maurice Carpenter, Lexington; two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ben Turner, a sister, Belle Carpenter, and two brothers, Cecil and Marshall Carpenter.
Funeral services were held April 30, at the Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Guiley and Dr. J. Donald Graham officiating. Burial was in the Richmond Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Douglas Carpenter, Robert Warner, Troy Watson, Bobby Shewmaker and Berry Shewmaker.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kirksville Christian Church.

ANNIE RIDDLE
Annie Ruby Riddle, 88, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the Pimlico Manor Nursing Home in Lexington.
Born October 11, 1913 in Keys Crossing, KY, she was the daughter of the late Granville and Rebecca Rambo Baldwin. She was the widow of William J. Riddle.
She was a homemaker and a former grocery store owner at Camp Nelson.
She was a member of Burgin Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include: a sister, Nancy Wade, Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 4, at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens with Bro. Joe Smith officiating.
Pallbearers were David Wade Baldwin, Jason Baldwin, Jim Woosley and Mike Holman.
Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

ELIZABETH SATTERLY
Elizabeth Azille Yeager Satterly, 72, of Lawrenceburg Road, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center in Springfield.
Born January 9, 1930 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Everett M. and Margie Griffey Yeager.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where she taught the Adult Women's Sunday School class. She was a 1948 graduate of McAfee High School.
Survivors include: her husband, J. L. Satterly; two daughters, Cynthia (Bobby) Stofer, Lawrenceburg, and Sue (Eugene) McHolan, Harrodsburg; one son, Bitsy Satterly, Lawrenceburg; one sister, Cordelia (John) Huffman, Harrodsburg; two brothers, James R. (Mary Lee) Yeager, AZ and Cletus E. (Ilena) Yeager, IL; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Yeager.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 5, at Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, with Bro. James Cecil officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robby Stopher, Shawn McHolan, Jason Satterly, Larry Gamble, Pedro Costello and Timmy Moore. Honorary bearers were Millie Moore, Alpha Harley, Nellie Drury, Wilma Disponett, Jerri Harley, Norma Dennis, Lavenia Peach, Jessie Norris Goodlett and Dr. Richard Jelsma.

OLIVER CONLEY Sr.
Oliver A. Conley Sr., 61, of North College Street, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 10, 1940 in Leslie County, he was the son of the late Truman and Virginia Perkins Conley.
He had attended Kirkwood Baptist Church and loved horseracing.
Survivors include; two sons, Oliver R. Conley Jr., and Timothy T. Conley, both of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Melissa Conley, Freeport, TX; one brother, Leo Conley, Mercer County; two sisters, Vedra Hall, Collinsville, MS and Juanita Ritchie, Kenderville, IN; two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 7, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

CHARLES CROSSFIELD
Charles Francis Crossfield, 51, of 125 Providence Road, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington.
Born July 11, 1950 in Mercer County, he was the son of Mary Frances Jackson Crossfield and the late Charles Crossfield.
He was retired from the Harrodsburg Fire Department and was owner of Fantasy Sound Productions. He was a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ and the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Lela Hope Isham Crossfield, Mercer County; two sons, Christopher Scott Crossfield, Louisville, and Charles Todd Crossfield, NC; one daughter, Lori Nichole (Scott) Baker, Mercer County; two sisters, Linda R. Murray and Cathy T. Sexton, both of Mercer County; five grandchildren, Darian Brooke, Taylor Nichole, Austin Byron Crossfield, Levi Scott and Shelby Grace Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with John Kesel and Dalton Hendren officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Peyton, James Paul Murray Jr., Shannon and Lee Murray, Jason Sexton and Byron Peach.

SHAWN HALL
Shawn Douglas Hall, 20, of 510 Ashley Drive, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, in Danville, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born February 25, 1982 in Danville, he was the son of James Douglas Hall and Patsy June Downs Coomer.
He was an employee of Matsushita of Danville and attended Southside Christian Church. He was an avid hunter.
Survivors include: his father, Doug (Robin) Hall, Harrodsburg; his mother, Patsy (Brad) Coomer, Gravel Switch; paternal grandparents, James and Barbara Hall, Harrodsburg; maternal grandmother, Eva Downs, Junction City; one brother, Tanner Hall, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Taylor Hall, Harrodsburg and Jessica Coomer, Gravel Switch.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 11, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Harley and Rick Snyder officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
