Jim Bob Horn, 20, of 750 Buster Pike, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born June 16, 1982 in Danville, he was the son of Eddie and Tonya Isham Horn of Harrodsburg.
He worked as a tower cleaner for Currens Company and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include: one brother, Josh Horn, Harrodsburg; maternal grandmother, Betsy Isham Potts, Ocoee, TN; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Robinson Horn, Harrodsburg; maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Isham, Harrodsburg; paternal great-grandmother, Hazel Robinson, Harrodsburg; and maternal great-great-grandmother, Rebecca Lay, Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22, at the Immanuel Baptist Church, Faulkners Lane, Danville, with Rev. Harold Best and Rev. Barry Jeffries officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers were Eddie Horn, Josh Horn, Glenn Devine, W. C. Brogle, Johnny Lakes, Travis Coomer and Jim Hurley. Honorary bearers were Hunter Hawkins, Nicholas Moss, Wayne, Justin, Chris, Matt, Luke, Jonathan and Tyler Horn, Derek Baker and Adam Montgomery.
Memorials are suggested to Gideon Bible Fund or the charity of one's choice.

Another Dies After Water Tower Fall
A tragic accident last week has claimed the life of another young Harrodsburg man.
Jim Bob Horn, 20, son of Eddie and Tonya Horn, died Wednesday, June 19 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center from injuries sustained in a fall from a water storage tank on June 18 in Madisonville.
Jessie Barnett, 20, son of Kirt and Lisa Barnett of Mercer County, was pronounced dead at 8:10 a.m. June 18 at the scene by Hopkins County Corner Dennis Mayfield.
Horn was airlifted to Owensboro-Davis County General Hospital that morning and transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center later that evening.
The two men, who were employed by Currens Construction in Harrodsburg, were working inside the water storage tank when,. for 'an "unknown reason,' they fell off the scaffolding, KSP Trooper Tim Bailey, the Madisonville KSP Post public information officer, said last week. They fell 25 to 30 feet to the bottom of the storage tank..
They were not wearing safety harnesses, according to John Walters, deputy coroner.
The case is under investigation. Walters said OSHA (Occupational Safety and Hazards Association) will release the results of its investigation between July 15 and Aug. 15, said Walters.
The accident occurred before 8 a.m. CST.
Ransdell Funeral Chapel handled funeral arrangements for Barnett and Horn. Funeral services for both men were held last weekend.
GEORGIA ROBERTS
Georgia Lynn Roberts, 49, of 1472 Hopewell Road, died Friday, June 21, 2002 at her residence.
Born February 5, 1953 in Tucson, AZ, she was the daughter of the late Lois Root Isaacs.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Shakertown at Pleasant Hill and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Ronald Wayne Roberts; two sons, Matthew Wayne (Amy) Roberts, Micah Wayne Roberts; and one daughter, Jenna Rae Roberts, all of Mercer County; four stepbrothers, Hank Isaacs Jr., Robbie Isaacs, Billy Isaacs and Jonnie Isaacs.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 25, at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Richard Easterling, Steve Roberts and John David Lane officiating. Burial was in the Hopewell Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends and family. Honorary bearers were members of Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class and the Senior Men Sunday School Class of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund.

ADDIE ROBINSON
Addie B. Robinson, 93, of 312 Ripy Avenue, Lawrenceburg, died Friday, June 21, 2002 at the Heritage Hall Care Center in Lawrenceburg.
Born June 17, 1909 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Martha Barnett Durr. She was the widow of Wilford 'Dood' Robinson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Christian Church in Anderson County.
Survivors include: one son, James Allen Robinson, Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Hansford Durr and two sisters, Iona and Jane Releford.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 23, 2002 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Kenny Robinson officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Newman, Ricky Overstreet, Bobby Durr, Charlie Ritchie, Roy Durr and Connie Carlton.

Porter Gene Ryan, 53, of Liberty Road, Lexington, died Monday, January 7, 2002 at his residence.
Born July 29, 1948 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Ernest P. Ryan, Harrodsburg, and the late Lona Mae Louallen
He was employed by Atena at Lexmark and was a former Harrodsburg police officer. He was a member of Southland Christian Church.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include: two sons, Porter Gene Ryan Jr., Lexington, Christopher Reynolds, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Crystal Gayle Ryan, Danville; one brother, Ernest P. Ryan Jr., Harrodsburg; one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Breaux officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday.

Hanly Mobley, 68, of 1751 Bruner’s Chapel Road, died Friday, January 4, 2002 at his residence.
Born April 29, 1933 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Dewey and Myrtle Coker Mobley.
He was a retired self-employed auto dealer and auto body repairman.
Survivors include: his wife, Annetta Steele Mobley, Harrodsburg; one son, Tony Mobley, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Carolyn Peavler, Indianapolis, IN; four brothers, Ernest, Garnett and Howard Mobley, all of Harrodsburg, and Minor Mobley, Mercer County; two sisters, Cornell Reynolds, Harrodsburg and Joyce Britton, Cornishville; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and three step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen DeRossett.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Paul Readnour and Jack Geurin officiating. Burial will be in spring Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Graham worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church and was active in the United Way for number of years.
