Brianna Nicole Borwig, 13, of Lawrenceburg, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at her residence.
Born Oct. 23, 1996 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of John and Kimberly Borwig of Lawrenceburg.
Brianna was a sixth grade student at Anderson County Middle School, a member of the Fox Creek Christian Church and Anderson Christian Church.
Survivors other than her parents include: a brother, Blake Patrick Borwig; maternal grandparents Tony and Brenda Sutherland of Frankfort; paternal grandparents Michael C. and Sherry J. Borwig of Iowa; paternal great grandparents Carl and Gen Borwig of Iowa; an uncle and an aunt.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Hope Community Church, 5930 U.S. Highway 127 S. Frankfort, with Don Wells and Doug Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg cemetery with Dan Lillpop officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hope Community Church.
Casketbearers will be: Ryan Wells, Brandon Delaney, Todd Sutherland, and Tony Milcoff.

PEGGY BOTTOMS
Peggy D. Bottoms, 45, widow of William Richard Bottoms, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at her home.
Born Sept. 4, 1964 in Spencer Co., she was the daughter of the late Elmo and Margaret Bea (Hoskins) Middleton.
She was a retired McDonald's Restaurant manager and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Timothy Bottoms and Eric Bottoms, both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Betty Lewis of Harrodsburg and Elaine Lotus of Shelbyville; three brothers, Roger D. Middeton of Harrodsburg, Ronnie E. Middleton of Shelbyville, and Joseph Middleton of Frankfort.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bobby Logue officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

MARVIN BUGG
Marvin Bugg, 94, Westminster, MD, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Dove House in Westminster after a brief illness.
Born in Washington County on April 8, 1915, he was the son the late of Thomas and Zanie Bugg. He was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School and attended the University of Kentucky. He was a career Air Force pilot, serving in England during World War II.
Survivors include: three children; Emily Guard of Westminster, MD, Barbara Landreth of Morgantown, WV, and Wayne Bugg of St. Charles, MO; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marianna Moss Bugg; his siblings, Carl Bugg, Sterling Bugg, Dallas Bugg, Jason Bugg, Warren Bugg and Jewell Cellar; and his granddaughter, Amy Bugg.
Services were conducted Nov. 21 at First Christian Church in Henderson with Dr. David F. Leslie officiating. Burial was in Fairmont Cemetery, with full military rites performed by the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard. Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

HELEN FOSTER
Helen Lena Foster, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born June 26, 1934 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Eva Lena Carmickle Price.
She was a Palm Beach Seamstress for 35 years, Trim Master employee for 10 years and was a former Wyonette’s Restaurant employee.
She was the widow of Clyde Sagracy and Hubert Reynolds. She was a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include: her husband, Dennis M. Foster; one daughter, Teresa (Lloyd) McKnight of Hempstead, Texas; one step-daughter, Sharlene (Robert) Foster of Stanford; one brother, Leroy (Nina) Price of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; one sister, Irene Robinson of Salvisa; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Steven Clyde “Pete” Sagracy; three brothers, J.B., Price, Sr., James Price and Howard Price; and three sisters, Lucille Sanders, Marie Willis and Rose Lee Peavler.
Funeral services were held Nov. 21 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Andrew Dyer and Bro. Joe Smith officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill cemetery with Damon Foster, Daniel Foster, Clifton McKnight, Larry Hendrix, Adam Hendrix and Terry Camden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Constitution Square Dancers.

PAUL GOLDSBERRY
Paul E Goldsberry, 88, husband of Joan Mondhank Goldsberry, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Port Clinton, OH, he was the son of the late Carl and Matilda Furness Goldsberry, Sr.
Mr. Goldsberry served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from IBM where he was an electrical engineer. He was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Mr. Goldsberry was a woodworker and loved building quality furniture for his family.
Survivors, other than his wife, include: two sons, Steve (Kathy) Goldsberry, Harrodsburg, and Philip (Christina) Goldsberry, Denver, CO; one daughter, Paula (Ignacio) Garcia, Miami, FL; four grandchildren, Peter, Leslie Michelle, Jackson and Chase; one great-grandchild; Sabrina; one brother, Carl (Doris) Goldsberry, Newark, OH; and one sister, Norma Jean Rienschield, Lancaster, OH.
A memorial service was held Saturday, November 21, at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road. by Rev. Dennis Burrows.

LULA HART
Lula Devine Hart, 99, of Harrodsburg, widow of the late Albert Hart, died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Born May 29, 1910 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Less and Ora Claunch Devine. She was a retired storekeeper having operated Hart’s Grocery in several locations in Mercer County. She was also a member of the Benton Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter Mattie B. (George) Neal of Mercer County, one daughter-in-law Christine Hart of Harrodsburg, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by three sons: Garnett Hart, Malvin Hart, and Cleo Hart.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Sims officiating. Burial will be in Patterson cemetery in Dixville with Monte Hart, Darwin Hart, George William Neal, II, James Allen Neal, Wayne Hart, and J. L. Devine serving as pallbearers.

HAZEL MAJORS
Hazel Jones Majors, 67, of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a long illness. Born Oct. 29, 1942 in Mayo, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Maggie (Taylor) Jones Sr. She was a long time employee for both Beaumont Inn and Shakertown and was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include: a son, Van Curtis Majors Jr. of Harrodsburg; four daughters, Teresa Warner, Linda Jones, Alfreda Majors, and Marilyn (Matthew) Tuggle, all of Harrodsburg; one sister, Nancy Jones of Harrodsburg; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Chyvone Lee Majors; two brothers, Lucian and Joseph A. Jones Jr. and one sister, Cora Jones.
Funeral services were conducted Nov. 21 at First Baptist Church in Harrodsburg with Bro. Phil Yates, Bro. Herman Bradshaw and Elder J.D. Short III officiating. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Bentley Jones, Robert Jones, Van Majors, Rinny Trigg, Matthew and Richard Tuggle.

DORRIS MONTGOMERY
Dorris Marie Montgomery, 60, of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Jan. 21, 1949 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Lyons) Thornton. She owned and operated a mini nursing home and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: a sister, Barbara (William) Moore of Harrodsburg; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Nov. 22 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Kenny Queener officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: William Moore Sr., William Moore II, Ron Emerson Moore, Don Robert Moore, Bruce Devine, Ronald Wayne Devine, Colby Robert Moore and Tyler Emerson Moore.

ALLIN WATTS
Allin L. Watts, 94, of Harrodsburg, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Jan. 14, 1915 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Lee and Ruth (Gritton) Watts.
He was retired from construction work, and was a member of the Mayo Christian Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Blanche Wiley Watts; two sons, Sam (Brenda) Watts of Harrodsburg, and Ron (Dixie) Watts of Grayson; one sister, Mary Katherine Russell of Harrodsburg; five grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 23 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Jerry Perry and Claude Waldridge officiating. Burial was in the Berea Christian Church cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Anna Dean Zanone Colson, 90, Lexington, (formerly Campbellsville), died Nov 23, 2009.
Born Jan 7, 1919 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Layton Zanone, sister of the late Charles Zanone and Jack Zanone, all of Lancaster.
She survived by her husband, Calfee Guy Colson.
She was a founding member of the Woodlawn Christian Church, Campbellsville. She retired from the Campbellsville Housing Authority.
Survivors include her son, Guy R. Colson and daughter-in-law, Peggy, of Lexington; three grandchildren, Erin Colson Bookman (Robert), Lexington, Christopher Guy Colson (fiance Kelly Ryan), Lexington, Lori Ann Colson, Lexington; brother-in-law, Barkley A.
