Blanche Releford, 79, of 604 Dove Court, died Saturday, October 28, 2000 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born March 17, 1921 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Emma Viola Durr Smith. She was the widow of Harvey Releford.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class and the Senior Citizen's Bus Ministry. She was a doll collector for many years.
Survivors include: three sons, Ricky Dale Releford, Harrodsburg, William Lynn Releford, of Ammon, Jordan, and Steven Curtis Releford, Mercer County; two daughters, Mrs. Clovis (Shirley) Roy and Missy Faye Releford, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Kenneth Smith, Junction City; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Savage, Harrodsburg and Mrs. Elsie Drisklell, Salvisa; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Truman and Russel Smith and three sisters, Bessie Bast, Bertie Salisbury and Dora Cardell; and one half brother, Owen Smith.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 31, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley, Bro. Terry Cornish and Bro. Joe Smith officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harold Driskell, Bobby Smith, Gayle Savage, Tony Bast, Lee Howard Releford, Willie Smith, Charles Curtsinger and Kevin Edwards. Grandsons were honorary bearers.
FOREST ASHFORD
Forest "Doc" Ashford, 77, of 520 Cornishville Street, died Sunday, October 29, 2000 at his residence.
Born December 7, 1922 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late James and Annie Kurtz Ashford.
He was a retired farmer, and a member of Joseph Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from Oct. 17, 1944 to Jan. 30, 1946, a member of the VFW, American Legion and Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include: one son, Ron Ashford, Lexington; one daughter, Debbie Klausing, Louisville; one brother, Garnett Ashford, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Eva Lay, Harrodsburg and Cora Ratliff, Lexington; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Ashford, two brothers, Hyte and James Asford and two grandsons.
Funeral services were held, Wednesday, November 1, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Hockersmith officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites.
Pallbearers were Marvin Ashford, Charles Ashford, Jimmy Ashford, Eddie Lay, Rodney Noel, Paul Klausing, Daniel Klausing and Todd Goodlett. Grandchildren were honorary bearers.
Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to Joseph Chapel United Methodist Church.
FRED RANSDELL
Fred Ransdell, 65, of 415 Akers Rd., Visalia, CA, formerly of Mercer County, died Tuesday, October 31, 2000 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born December 9, 1934 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Huntley B. and Virginia Gritton Ransdell.
He was the retired owner of Classic Gift Packaging, Visalia, CA, the National Wildlife Federation and the NRA.
He was a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sons, Steve (Nancy) Ransdell, Salvisa, Danny Ransdell, Lawrenceburg and Mike (Lisa) Ransdell, Salvisa; one brother, Everett Ransdell, Grand Junction, CO; one sister, Alma Baker, Winchester; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kelwin, Curtis, Allen and Kenneth Ransdell, and a sister, Lucille Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Perry officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stephen, Timmy, Jason and Curt Ransdell, Brian Murphy and Brian Sallee.
Memorials are suggested to the Mayo Christian Church Van Fund, 1950 Central Pike, Salvisa, KY 40372.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
JOHN DUNN Sr.
John L. Dunn, Sr., 82, of Clarksville, IN died Wednesday, November 1,2000 at his residence.
A native of Burgin he was a retired sewing machine mechanic for H. A. Seinsheimer and M. Fine and Sons.
He was an army veteran of World War II and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, IN.
Survivors include: one son, John L. Dunn Jr., Garland, TX; one daughter Claudia Haehl-Borden, IN; two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday November 5, at the Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, IN. Burial was in the Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
TERRY LOUALLEN
Terry Lee Louallen, 41, of Lexington, died Thursday, November 2, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Harrodsburg he was the son of Marie Hurst of LaGrange, and the late William Lee Louallen.
He was a banquet coordinator for Kentucky Inn, a member of Clays Mill Baptist Church and an avid fisherman.
Survivors include: his wife, Vickie Bozarth Louallen, Lexington; one son, Simon Louallen, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Heather Louallen, Harrodsburg and Tiffany Louallen, Lexington; one step-daughter, Tarah Conyers, Lexington; two sisters, Sherry Johnson and Missy Johnson, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Rick Louallen, Ft. Smith, AR.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 6, at the W. R. Milward Mortuary-Southland, conducted by Bro. James Harley and Dewey Bozarth. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rick Louallen, Simon Louallen, Matthew Louallen, Steve Anderson, Jason McDowell and Billy Johnson. Honorary bearers were Carl Harris and Charles McDowell.
WILLIAM PANKEY
William T. Pankey, 61, of 2989 Harrodsburg Road, died Sunday, November 5, 2000 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born March 7, 1939 in Mercer County, he was the son of Maurice and Katherine Elliott Pankey.
He was an employee of the Kentucky State Parks and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice Roberts Pankey, Harrodsburg; his mother, Katherine Elliot Pankey; Garrard County; two sons, James "Dub" Pankey, and Eddie (Hope) Pankey, both of Washington county; two brothers, Kyle (Sally) Pankey, Garrard County, and Bobby Pankey, Warren County; three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Edward Pankey II.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 8, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with William Perkins officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Cloyd, Ron Eyester, David Roberts, Kenny Whitehouse, Ronald Trayner, and Guy McGinnis.

HOWARD LOGUE
Howard T. "Hot Shot" Logue, 89, of 1229 Deep Creek Road, died Sunday, November 5, 2000 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born April 10, 1911 in Washington County, he was the son of the late George Willis and Maggie Alice Camden Logue.
He had worked as a farmer and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher. He was a member of Magnolia Masonic Lodge #201 F&AM, Mackville, Order of Eastern Star, Lexington Scottish Rite and Olekia Shrine Temple.
Survivors include: his wife, Pauline Logue, Harrodsburg; four sons, Donald (Doris) Logue, Boyle County, Lynn (Shirley) Logue, Harrodsburg, Robert (Joyce) Logue, Harrodsburg, and Buddy Logue, Harrodsburg; five daughters, Mary Rearie, Danville, Daisy (Richard) James, Harrodsburg, Betty (Harold) Darland, Harrodsburg, Rose (Larry) Matherly, Harrodsburg, and Jane (Harry) Wiley, Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Reed, Jim and Arnold Logue, two sisters, Martha Claunch and Mary Arnold, and one son, Terry Logue.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 8, at the Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Everett Priddy and Rev. Hillary Claypool officiating. Burial was in Deep Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Logue, Howard Logue, Jr., Travis Logue, Gabriel Logue, Mike Lewis, Kelly Darland, Steven Wiley and Isaac Matherly. Honorary bearers were the remaining grandchildren.

JOYCE DONAHUE
Joyce Gale Bottom Donahue, 47, of Indianapolis, died Sunday, November 5, 2000.
Born November 24, 1952 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of James "J. T." Bottom and the late Harvest Prewitt Bottom.
She was an accounting technician for the Defense Finance Center at Ft. Harrison for 10 years.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include: her husband, Robert Donahue, Indianapolis, IN; one son, Bill Pike, Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Anne Fochler, Offut AFB, NE; two brothers, Joseph Bottom, PA, and Carlos Bottom, Parksville; one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington, Indianapolis, IN.

ANNA YOUMANS
Anna Marie Youmans, 81, of 356 Runyon Road, died Monday, November 6, 2000 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born June 15, 1919 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Robert P. and Jodie Donnley Baker. She was the widow of Ralph Youmans.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one sister, Blanche Parrott, Versailles; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Kelly Baker and Tracy Prater officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clint Steele, Jody Hatchett, Hunter Hatchett, Austin Cooper, Timothy Baker, Aaron Baker and Donnie Parrot.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
Visitation will be at the funeral chapel after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
JOHN H. JAMES Jr.
John H. James, Jr., 77, died Tuesday, Novem-ber 7, 2000 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born February 17, 1923 in Harrodsburg he was the son of the late John H. James Sr. and Mattie Keightley James.
He was a retired pharmacist, businessman and was owner of Pioneer Cleaners and a co-owner of the Wearen-James Drug Store in Harrodsburg for many years.
He was a member of the Salvisa Masonic Lodge, Oleika Shrine Temple and former secretary-treasurer of the Mercer County Fair Board.
He had served in public office for years in Mercer County and was a former City Police Judge and former city commissioner. He had also served as a chairman and member of the Harrodsburg School Board.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth Hungate James, Harrodsburg; two granddaughters, Caribeth Durham, Roanoke, AL and Jaymie Durham, Columbia, SC. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cassandra "Cassie" James Durham.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville with Dr. David Harman officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bronson Yeast, Jack Leonard, Coy Cammack, Rani Alacoub and Bill Teater.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, at the funeral home.
