Armatha Harris Perkins, 91, of Burgin, died Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born January 28, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Edmond Francis and Ida Woods Harris. She was the widow of Kelly Perkins.
She was a retired quilter for Shakertown at Pleasant Hill, where she worked for 15 years, a member of Burgin Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: one daughter, Dolores Teater, Burgin; one sister, Mary Long, Harrodsburg; one brother, Johnny Harris, Lexington; two granddaughters, four great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 20, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Linda Gearhart officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons-in-law.

DOROTHY WALKER
Dorothy Walker, 90, of 160 Cummins Drive, died Wednesday at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born July 3, 1911 in Mayo, she was the daughter of the late Godfrey and Lula Walker.
She was a domestic worker and residential maid, a member of the Mercer County Senior Citizens and a member of the Centennial Baptist Church, where she sang in the church choir.
Survivors include: one daughter, Doris Johnson, Versailles; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, James “J. Tom” Walker, one brother, Plimpton Walker, and three sisters, Lottie Meaux, Lucille Jones, and Isabelle Lafon.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Elwood Norton and Bro. J. D. Short III officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy Parks, Jesse Thomas, Davis Burrus, Scott Jones, Ralph McKitrick Jr. and Freddy Brown.
Parks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Those attending were Curtiss Sherrow, Joe Harlow, James Tewmey, Tom Denny and Roy Freeman.

BILLY BENTLEY
Billy Paul Bentley, 67, of 6420 South Dixie, Glendale, died Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at his residence.
Born December 31, 1933 in Hindman, he was the son of the late Luther and Lona Taylor Bentley. He was the widower of Doris Sue Caudill Bentley.
He was a Ford Motor Company employee, a member of the NRA and served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include: two daughters, Darlene Young, Valley City, OH, Cheryl Tharpe, Elizabethtown; one son, Daniel Bentley, Broadview Heights, OH; one sister, Lillian Combs, Leesburg, FL; two brothers, Charles Bentley, Hindman, and Hassell Bently, Rome City, IN; five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 31, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Logue officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Young, Paul Litman, David Tharpe, Jerry Young, Kenny Caudill and Lennis Caudill.

CHARLES GOODLETT
Charles E. Goodlett, 72, of Middletown, OH, died Friday, October 12, 2001, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community in Ohio.
Born February 4, 1929 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Edward and George Ann Cornish Goodlett.
He worked at the blast furnace and was an ore bridge operator for Armco Steel Company, retiring in 1982 after 31 ½ years.
He was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Ann Goodlett, OH; three daughters, Linda (Toby) Young, Trenton, OH, Brenda (Bobby) Adams, Middletown, OH and Jeannie Deaton, Trenton; one sister, Florence Carroll, Middletown, OH; one sister-in-law, Mary Goodlett, Harrodsburg; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 15, at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. Burial was in Woodside Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of one’s choice.
MARTHA McDONLEY
Memorial services for Mrs. Martha Adams McDonley, widow of Joseph McDonley, who died, July 16, 2001, will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2001 at Shawnee Run Baptist Church with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial will follow in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by two sisters, Andora Trower, Harrodsburg, and Jane Gardner-Bennett, Evergreen, CO.

CHARLES COOPER
Charles Ray “Butch” Cooper, 45, Alford Road, Salvisa, died Saturday, November 3, 2001 at his residence.
Born January 26, 1956 in Sandusky, OH, he was the son of Patricia Wurtenberger Cooper and the late James William Cooper.
He was a member of the Overland Church of Christ, a former employee of Hyatt Regency and Florida Tile and had attended the Cleveland Institute of Electronics.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Robin Baker Cooper, Salvisa; one son, James Austin Cooper, Lawrenceburg; one daughter, Jamie Renee Cooper, Salvisa; one brother, Kenny Wayne Addison, Georgetown; one sister, Betty Ann Chowning, IN.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 6, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with James Hahn and Jim Harding officiating. Burial was in the Battle Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kelly Baker, Hunter Hatchett, Jody Hatchett, Calvin Devers, Larry Morgan, Clint Steele, Steve Morris and Aaron Baker. Honorary bearers were Jay Veeneman, David Thomas Lynn, Phillip VanDyke, Mike VanDyke, Greg Rogers, Ted Otten and Mike Firsden.
DOUGLAS EVERMAN
Douglas Wayne Everman, 41, of Lakeland, FL, died Friday, November 2, 2001.
Born April 13, 1960 in Washington Court House, OH, he was the son of James and Wanda Fulk Everman.
He was a corporate manager of McDonald’s in Lakeland, FL and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Eufaula, AL.
He was a 1978 graduate of Burgin High School.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Charlotte Harrick Everman, Lakeland, FL; one son, Chase Everman, Lakeland, FL; two brothers, Mark and Kevin Everman, Jamestown, OH; one sister, Lisa Everman, Jamestown, OH. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Bessie Everman, Everett and Arlene Fulk.
Memorial srevices were held at Dukes-Steen Funeral Home in Lakeland, FL, Monday, November 5. A memorial service will be held at the Jamestown Church of Christ on Sunday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Dayton, OH.
ANNELLE GILVIN
Annelle Litteral Gilvin, 77, Main Street, Burgin, died Thursday, November 1, 2001 at her residence.
Born December 7, 1923 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Hollie Bishop Litteral and Julia Sallee Literall Adkinson.
She was a homemaker, a member of Burgin Christian church and had attended Fugazzi College.
Survivors include: her husband, William Glen Gilvin, Burgin; one daughter, Peggy (Jerry) Moss, Burgin; two sons, Stephen (Tommie) Gilvin, Harrodsburg, Brad (Kathy) Gilvin, Burgin; two step brothers, Clyde Adkinson, Stockton, MO and Leroy Adkinson, FL; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, one great grandchild and three step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Gilvin.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 3, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Linda Gearhart officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
