Archie Paul Feeback, 79, of 230 Paradise Camp Road, died Sunday December 8, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital East, Lexington.
Born December 15, 1922 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Charles William and Pearl Gaunce Feeback.
He owned and operated Feeback Appliance Service. He was a member of Herrington Lake Pentecostal Church and a former member of the Burgin Lions Club.
He served in the navy during World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Ellen Neal Feeback, Harrodsburg; two sons, Robert Allen (Beth) Feeback, Versailles, and Paul Edward (Amy) Feeback, Mercer County; one stepson, Lloyd Thomas (Gwen) Graham, Carlisle; one daughter, Wanda Jean (Gerald) Craig, Lexington; one brother, Charles William (Janet) Feeback, Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 11, at the Herrington Lake Pentecostal Church, with Steve Vanhook and Ron Patterson officiating. Burial with military rites was in Burgin Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers were Gary Cheak, Cecil Lay, Willie Cheak, Michael Craig, Chad Wooten and Mike Yocum. Honorary bearers were Gerald Craig, Lloyd Graham, Garnett Gray, grandchildren and member of the Lake Herrington Pentecostal Church.
Memorials are suggested to Galilean Children’s Home, Love of God Ministry or Lake Herrington Pentecostal Church.

HERBERT GILKISON
Herbert “Bert” Ambrose Gilkison, 61, of 404 Hamner Road, died Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born April 28, 1941 in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Herbert Guy and Margaret “Pogy” Gormley Gilkison.
He was a farmer, a member of Bluegrass Horse Pullers Association, Young Farmers of Woodford County and a Master Conservation Farmer.
He was active in Mercer County Little League and Mercer County High School athletics for a number of years.
Survivors include: his wife, Carlie Chandler Gilkison, Harrodsburg; three sons, Bo (Charlotte) Gilkison, Louisville, Todd (Tammy) Gilkison, Lawrenceburg, and Matt (Becci) Gilkison, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Terri (Joey) Gritton, Versailles; one brother, Pat (Sarah) Gilkison, Versailles; four sisters, Peggy (Steve) Barnett, Pam (Roy) Jones, and Jenny (Gary) Doyle, all of Versailles, and Kay Sargent, Lexington; seven grandchildren and two great-grasndchildren.
A Mass of Resurrection was held Wednesday, December 11, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Muench officiating. Burial was in Burgin Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers were Bo Gilkison, Todd Gilkison, Matt Gilkison, Joey Gritton, Will Jones, Michael Gilkison and Bill Storey. Honorary bearers were Victor Legacher, Jim Bob Adams, Wilbur Wagler, Don Raider and Jim Sharpe.
Ransdell Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
LESLIE HARNEY
Leslie L. Harney, 72, of 419 Lester Road, died Monday December 2, 2002 at his residence.
Born November 5, 1930 in Somerset, Bermuda, he was the son of Ursula Simond Harney, Bermuda, and the late Leslie Arnold Harney.
He was a retired taxi cab driver in New York City and a veteran of the British Royal Navy.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Dorothy Harney, New Haven, CT; one daughter, Karen Harney, Bridgeport, CT; one son, Joseph Harney, Brooklyn, NY; one brother, five sisters and two grandchildren.
There were no local services.

MARY McRAY
Mary Catherine McRay, 90, of 1199 Mayo Road, died Monday, December 9, 2002 at the Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born March 11, 1912 in IN, she was the daughter of the late James Felix and Effie Lou Brown Thompson. She was the widow of Cassius McRay.
She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Earl McRay and Norman McRay, both of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Marjorie McCall, Carlisle, and Anna Lee Watkins, Colorado Springs, CO; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William McRay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Barry Harmon and Richard Easterling officiating. Burial will be in Kirkwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael McRay, Keith McRay, David Black, Jason Witten, Lonnie Thompson and Jeffery Robinson Jr. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Bacon Moore and Wendell Johnson.
Memorials are suggested to Kirkwood Cemetery Fund.
Visitation will be at the chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
ALVIN ROBISON
Alvin “Junior” Robison, 76, of High Street, died Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the Harrodsburg Healthcare Center.
He was the son of the late Everette and Rosa Eastridge Robison.
He was a member of Christie’s Chapel United Methodist Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include: his wife, Christine Robison, Harrodsburg; two sons, Donnie (Beth) Robison, Harrodsburg, and Tommy (Karla) Robison, Lancaster; one daughter, Cathie (James) Williams, Louisville; four brothers, W. R. Robison, Campbellsville, M. C. and Dallard Robison, Louisville, and William Robison, IN; three sisters, Rita Keltner, Campbellsville, Garnettia Knifley, Casey Creek, and Flora Ester Robison, Campbellsville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Lynn Robison, and one daughter, Arlinda Robison.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 11, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel, 503 E. Main Street, Campbellsville, with Rev. Sam Stow officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Adair County.
Pallbearers were Shane Robison, John Ward, Matt Robison, Luke Robison, Tony Proasi and David Perkins.

JAMES BURNS
James H. Burns, 71, of 1378 McCouns Ferry Road, Salvisa, died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 24, 1931 in Salvisa, he was the son of the late Roy and Ruth Best Burns.
He was a minister for Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Washington County, and was a retired Kentucky State Government Information systems employee. He was a member of Claylick Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Helena Burns, Salvisa; one daughter, Faith Burns, Washington, DC; one son, David (Kittie) Burns, Frankfort.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 17, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Lowell Langfield, Don McKinney and Bobby Logue officiating. Burial was in the Hebron Cemetery, Lawrenceburg.
Pallbearers were Leon Burns, John Wimsatt, Paul Terrell, Glenn Bugg, Jimmie Cocanougher, W. D. Cocanougher Jr., Todd Thompson and Gary Best. Honorary bearers were Marshall Hockersmith, Curtis Currens, Carl and Arvin Short, Francis Edwards, John Alvin Goodlett, Earl Chilton, L. H. ROY BURRUS
Roy Lee Burrus, 43, of Springfield, MO, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Thursday, December 12, 2002 in Springfield.
Born January 5, 1959 in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Edna Burrus Coates.
He was a member of the Quinn Methodist Church in Lexington.
Survivors include: two uncles, Davis Burris, Mayo, and Jimmie Burrus, Jessamine County; three aunts, Elizabeth Burrus, Alma Meaux and Opal Sigar, all of Harrodsburg; a special companion, Karen Cheanault, Lexington, and a special cousin, Kendal Patton, Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 16, at the Parks Funeral Home with Sister Mary White officiating.
Private committal services will be held at a later date.

R. C. FREEMAN
Robinson, C. Freeman, 78, of 1005 Mackville Road, died Friday, December 13, 2002 at the Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born January 7, 1924 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Wheeler and Dora Robinson Freeman.
He was a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church and served as an army sergeant in the Battle of the Bulge, World War II.
He was co-owner of the Burley Tobacco Warehouse in Danville, Freeman Brother’s Warehouse, Harrodsburg and Madison, FL, and was co-owner of the Garrard County Stockyards for several years.
He was a tobacco auctioneer and an avid road horse enthusiast for many years. He was inducted into the American Road Horse and Pony Association Hall of Fame in 1986, along with his brothers.
In 1994 he was selected Garrard County Outstanding Businessman of the Year.
Survivors include: his wife, Rosalind Donovan Freeman, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Marsha (Woodie) Leavell, Danville, and Brenda (Jack) Kuhn, Louisville; two brothers, Edwin and Marshall Freeman, both of Harrodsburg; one grandson, Mark Hurst, Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 15, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Dedman, Milward Dedman, Bill Barnett, Gene Barber, Paul Saunders and Dr. Warren Nash. Honorary bearers were Lafon Darland, Jack Freeman, Tommy Freeman, James Freeman, Sonny Hunt, Willie (Jack Rabbit) Bottoms, Joe Stevens and Buddy Purdom.
