Born in McLean County Nov. 30, 1919, he was employed as a warehouseman for Fleshman Distillary Factory and a member of Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Rickard Albin; three sons, J.W. Albin of Clarksville, Tenn., David Albin of Madisonville and Marvin Albin of Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Joyce Tanner of Sacramento; three sisters, Pauline Axtell, Sue Higgs and Wilma Hudson, all of Sacramento; 11 grandchildren; 10 great - grandchildren and three great - great - grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. June 17 at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with the Rev. John Butler officiating. Burial followed in the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
Beulah Lee Noffsinger
WESTLAND, MICH. - Beulah Lee Noffsinger, 98, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Bremen, Jan. 13, 1907, she was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Daniel Noffsinger, two brothers, Robert and Homer Noffsinger and two daughters, Martha Jean (Moore) Noffsinger and Elizabeth (Roupas) Noffsinger.
Survivors include a son - in - law, Nicholas Roupas; five grandchildren; Richard Moore, Edward (Anne) Moore, George (Angela) Roupas, Alethea (Michael) Van Gorp and Steve (Kelly) Roupas and six great - grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Gregory, Rebecca, Eleni and Alexis.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 18 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Jones officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Donations can be made in memory of Beluah Lee Noffsinger to Cedar Grove Baptist Church/Kentucky Children’s Fund.
Brenda Sue Loney
POWDERLY - Brenda Sue Loney, 52, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System.
Born in Detroit, Mich. June 6, 1953, she was a manager of Men Uniform Store and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a sister, Flora Lorrine Evans.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Loney; her mother, Edna Mae Bray of Central City; her father and stepmother, Clealon Gene and Katherine Bray of Paducah; a brother, Clayton Gene Bray of Morganfield; a sister, Linda Lou Jones of Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. June 19 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Adam Brown officiating. Burial followed in Cessna Cemetery in Powderly.
Harold Cobb
GREENVILLE - Harold Cobb, 68, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Born in Muhlenberg County Dec. 17, 1936, the son of the late Martin and Meedie Jones Cobb, he worked for a short period of time for T.V.A. and Sinclair Coal Company for about 18 months. He was a self - employed mason doing brick and block work; he was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Pond River Masonic Lodge #244 F. & A.M., a member of Rispah Shrine Temple in Madisonville, a Madeline Chapter Order of Eastern Star #64 and attended Cave Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his companion, Andrea Coin of Greenville; a daughter, Rita Ann (Dale) Cottrell of Greenville; two sons, Harold Dewayne (Judy) Cobb of Graham, Martin Ray Cobb of Greenville; two sisters, Bobbie J. Dukes and Carolyn Jordan, both of Greenville and four grandchildren, Lucas and Samantha Cottrell of Greenville and Jamie D. Cobb and Amiee Cobb of Graham.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 17 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Morris and the Rev. Troy Phillips officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.
William Harold Vincent
GREENVILLE - William Harold Vincent, 80, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Owensboro Mercy Health System following a lengthy illness.
Born March 10, 1925, he was the son of the late Goebel and Marie Evitts Vincent. He was a decorated Veteran of World War II, a recipient of the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He retired from the Texaco Bulk Plant and was a lifelong member of Duvall’s Chapel General Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and doting grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great - grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Vincent Rose in 1998, a special brother - in - law, Roy McDonald in 2004 and a great - granddaughter, Elizabeth Lynn Taylor in 2005.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Margaret Fairchild Vincent; a daughter, Carol Elaine Taylor of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Jim (Edna) Duvall of Owensboro; a sister, Inez Vincent McDonald of Greenville; six grandchildren, Greg and Jeff Taylor of Memphis, Tenn., Jamie Duvall of Owensboro, Ben Duvall of Murray, Melissa Heffernan of Indianapolis, Ind. and Robin Dennison of Owensboro; 12 great - grandchildren; four nephews and a neice.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 18 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Miller officiating. Burial followed in New Cypress Cemetery in Greenville.
Earle Lovell Pittman
GREENVILLE - Earl Lovell Pittman, 88, died Friday, June 10, 2005 in Muhlenberg Community Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Muhlenberg County Sept. 16, 1916, he was the son of the late Stephen Lovell Pittman and Katie Lee Oates Pittman; he was a quiet and gentle man concerned about the welfare of others. His interests were reading and genealogy. He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Heflin in 1998 and a brother, Master Sergeant Maurice O. Pitman Feb. 9, 2005.
Survivors include two sisters, Norma Gregory of Shelby Township, Mich. and Ann Nalley of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; four nieces and two nephews.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. June 18 in Unity Cemetery in Graham with the Rev. Vernon Perdue officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
William Philip Stone, Sr.
William Phillip Stone, Sr., 93, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County Nov. 19, 1911, he was a coal miner and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Central City. He was elected as Magistrate in 1938, served for four years; Kentucky Highway Patrol in 1942, served for two and one - half years; Kentucky State Police 1948 - 1953, served for five years; Muhlenberg County Deputy Sheriff 1953 - 1957, served for four years; Muhlenberg County Sheriff 1957 - 1961, served for four years; Muhlenberg County Judge 1961 - 1973, served for 12 years and Kentucky House of Representatives 1974 - 1987, served for 11 years. He gave a total of 44 and one - half years of service to his county and state government.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Mae Stone; a son, William Philip (Laura) Stone, Jr. of Louisville; two grandsons, Steven Andrew (Stacey) Stone of Lexington and Philip Jason (Aerin) Stone of Denver, Colo.; four great - grandchildren, Max, Miranda, Zavier and Oscar; a nephew, Clarence Stone and a niece, Mrs. Ray Sam Stone.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 17 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. W.R. Cook officiating and assisted by the Rev. Archie Fugate. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
Billy Menton Garrett
ELKTON - Billy Menton Garrett, 63, died Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Belle Meade Nursing Home after a short illness.
Born in Todd County Jan. 18,1942, the son of the late William Edgar Garrett and Ruby Lee Tooley Garrett, he was a saw operator in the timber industry, a farmer and of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Edgar Garrett in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Billy Nathan Garrett of LeGrange; two daughters, Darlene Renee (Charles) Cowen of London, Ky. and Roseanne Garrett of Hopkinsville; five brothers, Vermon Lee (Emma) Garrett of Greenville, Joseph William (Wanda) Garrett of Allegre, Paul Ray (Cindy) Garrett of Central City, Robert Eugene (Dianne) Garrett and Larry Wayne (Nina) Garrett, both of Dunmor; five sisters, June Kirtley and Shirley Lou (Joe) Langley, both of Greenville, Betty Dean (Mat) Drone of Portage, Ind., Wilma Jean (Bob) Dunlop of Aberdean, Ky. and Ruby Jane Bibbee of Shelbyville, Ky. and five grandchildren, Katherine, December, Marlena, Taylor and Charles William.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. June 21 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Garrett officiating. Burial followed in Bivins - New Harmony Cemetery in Tiwappy, Ky.
Louise Howard Wint
SAVANNAH, TENN. - Louise Howard Wint, 84, died Friday, June 17, 2005 in Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tenn.
Born in Rosewood Sept. 6, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Perrie L. and Marrie D. Garrett Howard. She was a homemaker and attended Savannah Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Wint.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Howard Wint and Wendell Othel Wint, both of Clarksville, Tenn.; six daughters, Katie Lou Crase of Cottage Grove, Ore., Myrtle Emma Brunner of Mineral Bluff, Ga., Stella Lee Yarber and Maretta Delois Glenn, both of Cleveland, Tenn., Oneada Faye Stricklin of Savannah, Tenn. and Denise Evangeline Oliver of Asheville, N.C. and a sister, Virginia Armstrong of Taylorsville, N.C.
Graveside services were held at 5 p.m. June 18 in the Wilkerson Cemetery in Hardin County Tenn. with Louie Dickman and Bob Wint officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, Tenn. was in charge of the arrangements.
Marion June Maddox
GARY, IND. - Marion June Maddox, 68, died Saturday, June 18, 2005.
Born in Muhlenberg County Sept. 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Donnie Geary and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Delmas Maddox; a daughter, Donna (David) Tinsley of Portage, Ind.; a brother, Roger (Pauline) Geary of Tenn.; a sister, Barbara (Eugene) Guterman of Mich. and two grandchildren, Madison and Bryce Tinsley.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. June 23 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Earnest Bean officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. June 22 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City.
Marshall Lynn Douglas
GISHTON - Marshall Lynn Douglas, 60, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
Born in Ohio County Aug. 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Lonnie and Marie Douglas and a member of Central Lodge #673. He was a retired United Mine Worker, a charter member of the Muhlenberg County Antique and Classic Car Club, a member of the National Street Rod Association, an active member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church, where he previously served as trustee. He enjoyed his three grandchildren and traveling with his wife in their streetrod. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Joe Douglas of South Carrollton.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Jean Patton Douglas; a daughter, Leigh (Marty) Douglas of Midland; a son, Jarrod (Amy) Douglas of Central City; three brothers, Davis “Junior” Reno and Phillip “Red” Rickard, both of Central City and Dan Gossett of Kuttawa; a brother - in - law, Jerry Vincent; three sister - in - laws, Sue Vincent, Anita Douglas and Donna Newberry and three grandchildren, Jordan, Ashlynn and Amberlynn.
A celebration of his life will begin at 5 p.m. June 21 at Tucker Funeral Home with Masonic Rights scheduled for 7 p.m. The celebration will continue with services at 11 a.m. June 22. Until the trumpet sounds, his body will rest on top of Rose Hill in Central City. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thelma Lorraine Lear
GREENVILLE - Thelma Lorraine Lear, 86, died Monday, June 20, 2005 at the Owensboro Medical Health System following a lengthy illness.
Born in Linton, Ind. Feb. 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Baily Adams and Sarah Haney Adams. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Owensboro and a former member of Greenville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lear in 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda J. (Marvin) Sutton of Owensboro; two sons, Robert D. (Linda) Lear of Greenville and Wayne A. (Reba) Lear of Horse Branch; a brother, Harold Wallace Adams of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; one step - grandchild, Greg Hampton of Princeton; three grandchildren, Rodney (Margaret) Lear of Louisville, Lisa (Alton) Gaines of Beechmont and Faith (Johnny) Mefford of Browder and eight great - grandchildren, Carter and Grant Mefford, Joshua and Emmali Lear, Ethan and Aden Gaines and Alicia and Coty Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. June 22 at Gary’s Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Midkiff officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.
