Born in Christian County, June 1, 1959, she was a housewife and member of East Union Baptist Church in Graham.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Beadnell Sr.; a son, Jimmy Beadnell Jr. of Central City; her father, Charles Durham of Depoy; her grandparents, Herbert and Ola Belle Durham of Crofton; two sisters, Karen Hyravy of Greenville and Tammy Piper of Depoy and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 3 at Tucker Funeral Home. Burial followed at East Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Graham.

Helena Margery Mayes

LOUISVILLE ­ Helena Margery Mayes, 91, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Baptist Northeast Hospice in LaGrange, Ky.
Born in Ohio County, July 28, 1914, she was retired from the Kentucky Department of Child Welfare in Louisville and a member of Pee Wee Valley Baptist Church in Louisville.
Survivors include three daughters, Laquita Kitchel of Cinncinnati, Ohio, Jean Bruner of Louisville and Ann (Chuck) Gary of Bowling Green; six grandchildren; four step - grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three great - great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. June 2 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Everly and the Rev. Ernest Bean Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.

Sara Louise Jones

GREENVILLE ­ Sara Louise Jones, 90, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born in Todd County, July 30, 1915, she was the daughter of Ross Jason McPherson and Lydia Strader McPherson. A member of First Baptist Church in Greenville, she owned and operated Greenville Florist from 1955 to 1975 and Jones Café in Greenville for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Jones, April 11, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley J. (Larry) Curry of Alpharetta, Ga.; a son, Bobby (Faye) Jones of Greenville; three grandchildren, Eddie (Debra) Curry and Valerie Curry, both of Alpharetta, Ga. and Ross (Jennifer) Jones of Greenville and four great - grandchildren, Brian Curry, Steven Curry, Justin Jones and Jackson Jones.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 1 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Gwaltney and the Rev. Gary McAbee officiating. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.

Naomi Marshall

TELL CITY, IND. ­ Naomi Marshall, 80, died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at her son’s residence in Booneville, Ind.
Born in Depoy, May 19, 1926, she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Tell City where she was a custodian for 19 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in March, Russell Marshall; her parents, Archie Lyndell “A.L.” and Myrtle Crick Oates; a sister, Hilda Askins and a granddaughter, Lori DuPont.
Survivors include a son, Danny Marshall of Booneville; two daughters, Becky Davis of Tell City and Judy Krieg of Chrisney, Ind.; a brother, C.E. Oates of Lake Station, Ind.; two sisters, Vernell Jackson of Garland, Texas and Rosie Hendershot of Tell City; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. May 29 at First Baptist Church in Tell City. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Tell City. Zoercher - Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City was in charge of arrangements.

Rosetta “Rosie” Hendershot

TELL CITY, IND. ­ Rosetta “Rosie” Hendershot, 74, died Monday, May 29, 2006 at U of L Hospital in Louisville.
Born in Muhlenberg County, Feb. 19, 1932, she was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church and President of the Ladies Missionary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Hendershot in 1993; her parents, Archie Lyndell “A.L.” and Myrtle Crick Oates and two sisters, Hilda Askins and Naomi Marshall.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam Hendershot of Tell City; a sister, Vernell Jackson of Garland, Texas and a brother, C.E. Oates of Lake Station, Ind.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. June 1 at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Tell City with the Rev. Elmer Shelby and the Rev. James Jackson officiating. Burial followed at Deer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Tell City. Memorial contributions may be made to Deer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Zoercher - Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City was in charge of arrangements.

Bernice Ray Bullock

Bernice Ray Bullock, 78, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at her residence, victorious from her battle with cancer.
Born Sept. 15, 1927 to Bennie Pearl and Virgil Payton, she spent her younger years in Centertown living with Cleaphus and Dana Kessinger, her grandparents. After teaching one year in Ohio County, she married Earnest Dow Bullock, making her home in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church where she served numerous positions, including the Reapers Sunday School Teacher and was very supportive of Women on Missions. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Malin and Mildred Denney; a son - in - law, Wayne Newman and a daughter - in - law, Diane Bullock.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy (Jerry Pat) Durall of Central City; three sons, Payton (Margaret) Bullock of Sacramento, Ernie (Sheila) Bullock of Central City and Mark Russell Bullock of Bremen; a brother, Tom (Linda) Payton of Sterling, Ill. and two sisters, Mary (Howard) Mondientz of Bluffton, S.C. and Donna Neuhaus of Highland, Ind. She was blessed by her eight grandchildren as well as her four step - grandchildren. Her 12 great - grandchildren were always welcomed at her home. Many nieces, nephews as well as a host of friends will deeply miss Bernice.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. June 4 at Tucker Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Yeager officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorial gifts to New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 8525 St. Rt. 181 N., Bremen, KY 42325.

P.H. Campbell

P.H. Campbell, 95, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Muhlenberg County, July 5, 1910, he was the son of Lawrence Morehead “L.M.” Campbell and Geneva Leona Hudson Campbell. A member of Woodland Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, he served as a deacon for over 60 years. He was a retired farmer and a house painter for several years and was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Patricia Ann Campbell in 1955.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Martha Lee Campbell; two sons, Robert Lee (Lula) Campbell of Owensboro and Stephen (Donna) Campbell of Nolensville, Tenn.; a daughter, Jill (Larry) Vaught of Central City; nine grandchildren, Bryan Lee (Susan) Campbell of Lexington, Roger (Melissa) Campbell of Thompson Station, Tenn., Mark Hudson (Lynda) Campbell of White House, Tenn., Jodi (Thomas) Ervin of Nolensville, Tenn., Glenn (Lori) Campbell of Columbia, Tenn., Larry (Leslie) Campbell of Nashville, Tenn., Aaron Vaught of Murray, Laura Beth Vaught and John Vaught, both of Central City and 12 great grandchildren, Jonathan, Kathryn, Sloane, Harrison, Rebecca, Samie, Brittany, Leah, Macy, Kati, Elayna and Meredith.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 3 at Woodland Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Ray Webb and the Rev. E.W. Greenwalt officiating. Burial followed at Woodland Church Cemetery in Greenville. Gary’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

George Arthur Inman

DUNMOR ­ George Arthur Inman, 92, died Friday, June 2, 2006 at Russellville Health Care Manor.
Born in Muhlenberg County, April 10, 1914, he was a World War II Navy veteran, a retired TVA Boilermaker and a Kentucky Colonel. A member of Dunmor Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Elizabeth Covington Inman and his parents, Kit Inman and Alma Vanover Inman.
Survivors include four daughters, Alma Russ, Doris Wilson and Joyce Arnold, all of Dunmor and Peggy Hunt of Russellville; three sons, Lester Inman of Dunmor, Donald Inman of Beechmont and Butch Inman of Lewisburg; a sister, Pearl Chaney of Murray; a brother, Bill Inman of Salt Lake City, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and four great - great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 5 at Price Funeral Home Inc. in Lewisburg with the Rev. Tommy Sandlin, Dr. Lloyd Johnson and the Rev. Jeremy Whitney officiating. Burial followed at Dunmor Cemetery in Dunmor.

Jerry Wesley Vincent

Jerry Wesley Vincent, 55, died Friday, June 2, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System.
Born in Muhlenberg County, Jan. 28, 1951, he was a self - employed auto glass installer.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Weingartner Vincent; three sons, Jerry Vincent of Bremen, Bobby Vincent of Central City and David Vincent of Calloway, Fla.; a sister, Roberta Drake of South Carrollton and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. June 6 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery in Moorman.

Leon Otis Graham

Leon Otis Graham, 88, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Hopkins Co., March 1, 1918, he was retired from the Navy and from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company. A member of Rochester United Methodist Church, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Graham.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Layne Graham and a daughter, Martha Stahr of Princeton.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. June 6 at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville with the Rev. James Stahr officiating.

Cornelius A. Martin

BOWLING GREEN ­ Cornelius A. Martin, 57, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 in Russellville.
Born in Muhlenberg County, Aug. 4, 1948, he attended a one - room school in the first and second grades. His childhood and early teenage years were spent working on the family farm in Greenville, which he still owned, along with his brothers and sisters. The farm has since been incorporated under the name of Martin Acres and he served as the vice president of the corporation.
After graduation from Muhlenberg Central High School in Greenville, he moved to the Dayton, Ohio, area where he began working in the automobile business while attending Wright State University. As his career in the automobile business advanced he entered and graduated from the General Motors Dealer Academy at the General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich.
In 1985, Martin had the opportunity to purchase an Oldsmobile ­ Cadillac dealership in Bowling Green, which he still operated. In 1990 he formed the Martin Automotive Group with the intention of expanding his reach in the automotive business and as the parent company of his future acquisitions. The Martin Automotive Group maintains its headquarters in Bowling Green.
Since the inception of the Martin Automotive Group, Martin has acquired or built more than 15 auto dealerships in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Iowa, California and Arizona.
In 1989, Martin was selected the Bowling Green ­ Warren County (Kentucky) Small Business Person of the Year. In 1996, Saturn of Dayton South was named one of ten Good Housekeeping and Automotive News Automotive Dealership Service Excellence Award winners nationwide for 1996.
Martin was named in 1997 the Automobile Dealer of the Year by Black Enterprise magazine, a national publication.
In Feb. 1998, Martin formed Co - Mar Aviation, Inc. and won the bid to become the fixed base operator that is responsible for all ground flight support operations at the Bowling Green - Warren County Regional Airport in Ky.
Martin was awarded the Harley Davidson franchise for Bowling Green, which he opened in Dec. 2003 and opened his second Harley Davidson dealership located in Louisville in Jan. 2006.
Martin was honored in 1999 with a Governor’s Economic Development Leadership Award. He was a recipient of the 2002 Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award at the NADA Convention in New Orleans and he received the 2003 Business Hall of Fame Laureate from Junior Achievement in recognition for his long time support.
In 2004, Martin was selected by General Motors Minority Dealer Development to participate in their GM People goodwill and national print advertisement campaigns.
Dealer Magazine, an automobile industry magazine, featured Martin as its cover story in the Oct. 2004 issue. He was also the featured cover in the May 2005 Megadealer 100 issue of Ward’s Dealer Business magazine.
Martin held numerous leadership positions in both civic and professional organizations on local, state and national levels, including being appointed to a three - year term in 2002 to the Board of Directors of the Louisville branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and reappointed Jan. 2005 to a three - year term and current Chairman; was the current Chairman of the Board of Regents at Western Kentucky University and served as Chairman of Presidential Search Committee; current Board Member for Wright State University Foundation; current Board of Directors Member of Bowling Green Warren County Depot Authority; member Board of Directors and Vice President of South Central Kentucky Minority Economic Development Council; member Board of Directors Kentucky Automobile Dealers Association; member National Automobile Dealer Association Presidents Club; served on Executive Committee of Board of Directors of the National Corvette Museum; served on Kentucky Governor’s Commission on Quality and Efficiency in State Government; past Chairman of Bowling Green Municipal Utilities Board; past member United Way of Kentucky Board of Directors; past President and Campaign Chairman of United Way of Southern Kentucky; past Board of Directors Member Bowling Green Warren County Chamber of Commerce; past Advisory Board Member Western Kentucky Institute for Economic Development; past Board Member Western Kentucky University Foundation Board; past Board of Directors Member of Bowling Green Warren County Tourism and Economic Development Council; past Board of Directors member of Bowling Green Warren County Arts Commission; past President of National Oldsmobile Marketing Association; past Board of Directors member and past Treasurer of Kentucky - Indiana - Michigan Cadillac Marketing Association; past member of Saturn Corporation Image Task Force and past member of Saturn Corporation Franchise Operations Team.
Since Sept. 1985, the Martin Automotive Group has developed into one of the most successful and respected automobile retail organizations in the nation. Martin’s goal of professional growth through customer and employee satisfaction, coupled with hard work, continues to draw national attention and the respect of his peers.
Martin’s wife, Gail Burrus Martin, and their three children, Amber L. Martin, Chadwick A. Martin and Coleman A. Martin, all of Bowling Green, are also very active in the community, participating in the arts and volunteering their time to many charitable causes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Martin and Beatrice Tutt Martin; three brothers, Roy Martin, Hume Martin and Lorenzo Martin and four sisters, Marjorie Martin, Gwendolyn Brown, Viola Mapp and Rosetta Ratchford.
Besides his wife and children, survivors include two brothers, Finis (Wanda) Martin of Springfield, Ohio and Howitt (Roberta) Martin of Bowling Green; six sisters, Ernestine (Charles) Benning, Unita Lawrence, Barbara (Arthur) Swain and Shirley McIntosh, all of Springfield, Ohio, Naomi Horton of Greenville and Anna (Edmond) Drake of Louisville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. June 8 at Living Hope Baptist Church in Bowling Green. Burial will follow at 5 p.m. at Reynolds Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. June 7 at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel at 820 Lovers Lane in Bowling Green and from 9 - 11 a.m. June 8 at Living Hope Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the WKU Foundation/Martin Scholarship Fund, 1906 College Heights Blvd., Bowling Green KY 42101 - 9977 or to the WKU Foundation/Gail Martin Lecture Series, 1906 College Heights Blvd., Bowling Green KY 42101 - 9977. William Dennis Jones
BREMEN - William Dennis Jones, 65, of Bremen, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
Born April 21, 1938, in Muhlenberg County, he was of the Baptist faith. He was a miner and had worked as an electrician at Peabody Coal Co.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Jones of Bremen; one son, William D. Jones, Jr. of Greenville; three daughters, Tamera L. McCorquodale, Angela R. Bartley and Betty J. Jones, all of Bremen; one granddaughter, Makayla J. Jones; two step - grandchildren, Amber Nelson and Holly Fisher; four brothers, Benjamin F. Jones, Halbert E. Jones, Gary R. Jones and Ronnie L. Jones; four sisters, Imogene House, Mary L. Horn, Roberta Harris and Ann Dean Thompson.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 23, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Rusty Trotter officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery.

Rev. Andrew F. Stirsman

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Rev. Andrew F. Stirsman, 77, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at his residence.
Born May 8, 1925 in Greenville, he was the son of the late Glen and Jessie Steele Stirsman. Rev. Stirsman was a minister, having begun his pastoral work with the General Baptist church in Wadesville, Ind. He relocated his family to Indianapolis in 1966 to be affiliated with the United Methodist Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Garrett Theological Seminary and served as a minister at the W. Washington St. U.M.C., Central Ave. U.M.C., both in Indianapolis; Whiteland U.M.C., Whiteland, Ind.; North Salem U.M.C., Nashville, Ind.; New Zion U.M.C. in Columbus, Ind. He retired in 1990. He was a member of Poole, Ky. Masonic Lodge, Shelbyville York Rite, Indianapolis Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leeman, Lawrence and Glen Stirsman, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia R. Jones Stirsman of Indianapolis; two sons, David and Paul Stirsman, both of Indianapolis; four daughters, Virginia A. Stirsman, Beth Steeb and Jane Jones, all of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mary Magazine of Evansville, Ind.; three brothers, Elmon Stirsman of Evansville, W. G. Stirsman of Greenville and John W. Stirsman of Owensboro; three sisters, Ina Mae Meeks of California, Inez Evitts and Shirley Stirsman, both of Greenville; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 16 at Forest Lawn Pierre Funeral Home in Greenwood, Ind. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association.

Vida Pauline Jennings Sizemore

GREENVILLE - Vida Pauline Jennings Sizemore, 93, of Greenville, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at her residence.
Born June 7, 1909 in Hopkins County, she was a member of New Cypress Baptist Church. She retired from Inland Steel in Indiana Harbor, Ind. after 20 years as an operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Lee Sizemore in 1979.
She is survived by one stepsister, Lucille Devine of Anton, Ky.; two sister - in - laws, Letha White of Nortonville and Helen Pollard of Lake Village, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 29, at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Jeff Noffsinger officiating. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery in Nortonville.
