BROWDER - Lucille Fraim, 91, of Browder, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
Born May 19, 1911 in Hopkins County, she was a member of Green River General Baptist Church in Central City. She was a retired grocery owner of Fraim’s Market in Central City.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine Penrod Moser of Evansville, Ind. and Fredia Hawkins of Browder; 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; eighteen great - great - grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Thompson and Becky Wing, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Leoda Boyde of Hopkinsville and Betty Lindsey of Owensboro; one step-sister, Anna Meadows of Hopkinsville; and one step-brother, Henry Hunsaker of Nelson, Ky.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 11, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Terry Chaney officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Everett William Rhoades

BREMEN - Everett William Rhoades, 82, of Bremen, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at his residence.
Born July 28, 1920 in Muhlenberg County, he was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was a farmer. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by one son, Robert Rhoades of Bremen; one daughter, Sue Clodfelter of Fayetteville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; ten great - grandchildren; and one sister, Willadean Gish of Bremen.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 11, at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Yeager officiating. Burial followed in Shavers Chapel Cemetery in Bremen. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Anna Elizabeth McClure

Anna Elizabeth McClure, 77, of Central City, died April 12, 2003 at her residence.
Born May 14, 1925 in Muhlenberg County, she was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne McClure of Madisonville, Burke McClure of Graham and James McClure of Central City; two daughters, Paulett Nash of Anaconda, Mont. And Anna Jean Nole of Madisonville; nine grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren; and one sister, Pauline Curceo of Illinois.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, at 5 p.m., at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 16, also at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lee Eleanor Ooton

BREMEN - Lee Eleanor Ooton, 88, of Bremen, died Friday, April 11, 2003, in the Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville following a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 5, 1914 in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of Dallas Crowe English and Martha Jane Moxley English, she was a member of the Richardson Chapel Baptist Church and was a retired owner of grocery, clothing, and shoe repair shops in Guthrie and Hopkinsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paige Van Ooton.
She is survived by one niece, Patricia (James) Locke of Greenville who was her principal caregiver; one nephew, Mike (Jan) English of Sacramento; one great - niece, Tischa Locke of Bremen; one great - nephew, Chris Locke of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and one sister, Mae Emily Devine of Drakesboro.
Graveside services were held Monday, April 14, at New Harmony Cemetery in Bremen with the Rev. T. H. Davis officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bobby Joe Harlan

Bobby Joe Harlan, 48, of Central City, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at his residence.
Born Nov. 11, 1954, in Muhlenberg County, he was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Harlan; his brother, Don Harlan; his sister, Debra LaGrand and his grandfather, George Roop
He is survived by his mother, Laverne Harlan of Central City; his sister, Denise (Johnny) Thompson of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; three nieces; two nephews; his grandmother, Cora Roop of Nelson Creek.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 5 ­ 9 p.m., at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City and Thursday morning after 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral, 2 p.m., also at Tucker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Berdie Kittinger Hill

GREENVILLE ­ Berdie Kittinger Hill, 90, of Greenville, died Thursday, April 10, 2003 at Maple Manor Healthcare Center in Greenville.
Born June 15, 1912 in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of Mayo Kittinger and Leslie Gray Wilkins Kittinger, she was a homemaker and a member of Roland Memorial Church in Greenville. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel “Shorty” Hill in 1980 and grandson, Johnnie Doss in 1992.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Sparks of Graham and Lou Don Doss of Greenville; five grandchildren; nine great - grandchildren; and one step great - grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with the Revs. Harold Coomer, Carl Nelson and Ron Wingo officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville. Gary’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Donald Lynn Renfrow

SOUTH CARROLLTON - Donald Lynn Renfrow, 62, of South Carrollton, died Monday, April 14, 2003at Owensboro Mercy Healthcare System.
Born Feb. 10, 1941 in McLean County, he was retired from Advanced Drainage Systems in Livermore.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Sheeley Renfrow of South Carrollton; one son, Donald Andrew Renfrow of South Carrollton; five daughters, Julie Marie Matheny of Sacramento, Sherry Lynn Littlefield of Nortonville, Debra Brown of Clifty, Ardra Jo Lee Williams of White Plains and Ada Gail Ballard of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; nine grandchildren; one great - grandchild; two brothers, Randall Renfrow of South Carrollton and Eugene Renfrow of Missouri; and one sister, Ruby Penrod of Beech Creek, Ky.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, at 5 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, at 1 p.m., also at Tucker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Renfrow Cemetery in Butler County.

Marvin Henry Rager

GREENVILLE - Marvin Henry Rager, 72, of Greenville, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 in Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville following a lengthy illness.
Born July 11, 1930 in Muhlenberg County, the son of Ruben Rager and Sylvia Jane Flatt Rager, he was retired from Kentucky Stone Quarry as a heavy machine operator in 1992 after 38 years. He was of the Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Nell Rager in 1994, one son, Ricky Lee Rager in 1982 and one daughter, Patricia Jane Rager in 1962.
He is survived by three sons, David Rager of Greenville, Thomas Rager of Elkton and Larry Rager of Clifty; one daughter, Gale Gant of Clifty; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great - grandchild; and one step-great - grandchild.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, at 5 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m., also at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Revs. Hershel Drake and Floyd Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Rosewood. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Clifton Earl Brumfield
ELKTON ­ Clifton Earl Brumfield, 57, died Monday, April 5, 2004 at his residence.
Born in Todd County, Oct. 29, 1946, to the late Howard Brumfield and Rosie McElwain Brumfield, he was a self - employed logger. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Wayne Brumfield, and a brother, Tommy Brumfield.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda Smith Brumfield; a daughter, Belinda Brumfield Garrett of Lewisburg; five sons, Chris Brumfield, Brian Brumfield, Jason Brumfield and Jeremy Brumfield, all of Greenville, and Greg Brumfield of Russellville; a brother, Jeff Brumfield of Lewisburg; two sisters, Kay Hurt and Jean Hall, both of Franklin; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 7 at Price Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Tony Blake and the Rev. Autry Moore officiating. Burial followed in Cliff Hill Cemetery in Todd County.

Velma Louell Crick Miller

GREENVILLE ­ Velma Louell Crick Miller, 79, died Monday, April 5, 2004 at Belle Meade Rest Home.
Born in Muhlenberg County, July 21, 1924, to the late Dave and Myrtle Crick, she was a homemaker and a member of Roland Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Miller and a grandson, Jeff Camplin.
Survivors include a son, David Miller; a daughter, Betty Camplin; two granddaughters; and two great - grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., April 7 at Gary’s Funeral Home with Danny Mooneyhan officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville.

Louis Merl Wells

Louis Merl Wells, 91, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County, April 1, 1913, he was a retired businessman and of the Methodist faith. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the China Marine Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Thornton of Greenville; two sons, Dr. Louis M. Wells of Germantown, Tenn. and Richard M. Wells of Oxford, Miss.; a sister, Rebecca LaHaine of Marysville, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and seven great - grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., April 10 at Fairmount Cemetery in Central City with the Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jennie Ann Caskey

Jennie Ann Caskey, 73, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
Born in Hopkins County, Sept. 6, 1930, she was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, F.R. Caskey, Jr. and a son, Rickie Caskey.
Survivors include five sons, George (Phyllis) Caskey, Robert (Karen) Caskey, Danny (Susie) Caskey, Farrah III (Mary) Caskey and Billy Cloud, all of Central City; four daughters, Virginia (Robert Ray) O’Neal and Donna Jernigan (David LeGrand), both of Central City, Farrlyn Arnold of Drakesboro and Patricia (Larry) Stobaugh of Greenville; five brothers, Arbrenas Gray of Dawson Springs, Billy Gray of Oklahoma, Berva Gray and Bobby Gray, both of Florida, and Joe Devine of Louisville; five sisters, Gloria Mondell of South Carolina, Mildred Hinkel of Ohio, Patsy Arvil, Alice Hooper and Nancy Blantin, all of Hopkinsville; 27 grandchildren; and several great - grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., April 9 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. James Shutt, the Rev. Curtis McGehee and the Rev. Allen Black officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.

John Walton Stobaugh

John Walton Stobaugh, 84, died Monday, April 5, 2004 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County, July 31, 1919, he was a self - employed farmer and carpenter, a U.S. veteran of World War II and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include a sister, Edna M. Poe of Central City; four nieces; two great - nephews; and a great - niece.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., April 8 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Haire and the Rev. Tim Camplin officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Bremen.

Dorothy Lucille Woodward

RUSSELLVILLE ­ Dorothy Lucille Woodward, 78, died Monday, April 5, 2004 at her residence.
Born in Logan County, May 3, 1925, to the late Rachel Crafton McCraw and Tim McCraw, she was a deputy jailer at Logan County Jail for 18 years and a member of Chandlers Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Woodward, and a brother, Earl Ray McCraw.
Survivors include five sons, Donnie Woodward, Ray Woodward and Stevie Woodward, all of Russellville, Lewis Woodward of Greenville and Paul David Woodward of Morgantown; five daughters, Barbara Duncan of Morgantown, Patricia Lashley, Brenda Powell, Peggy Shelton and Alice Woodward, all of Russellville; a sister, Mildred Buchanan of Clarksville, Tenn.; 24 grandchildren; and 28 great - grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 8 at Sanders Funeral Home in Russellville with Bro. Bobby Russell officiating. Burial followed in Chandlers Chapel Cemetery in Logan County.

Phyllis M. Dill

Phyllis M. Dill, 86, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at her home after a short illness.
Born in Rosiclare, Ill., Jan. 8, 1918, to the late Raymond and Fern McDowell, she was secretary for the Mt. Zion Homemakers Club and a member of the Spice of Life Club and Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl C. Dill, a son, George R. Rash, and a granddaughter, Linda Rash.
Survivors include two sons, John F. (Dianna K.) Rash of Franklin and A.V. (Ann) Rash of Worthington; nine grandchildren, LeaAnn, Lorie, Georgianna, Terri, Jonathan, Carla, Andrew, George and Richard; six great - grandchildren, Heidi, Brandon, Peter, Nicholas, Alex and Lauren; and two great great - grandchildren, Beau and Tristin.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., April 9 at Tuckers Funeral Home in Central City. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Green River Hospice, Inc., 109 2nd Street, Central City, KY 42330 or the Benevolence Fund at Temple Baptist Church, Highway 431, Central City, KY 42330.
