Born in Muhlenberg County Oct. 28, 1912, she was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Mullen, Sr.; a son, Clarence Edward Mullen; two brothers, James Walton Staples and Wallace Staples and her mother, Lillian Birdie Staples.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Mullen Jr. of Drakesboro; two step-grandchildren, Audra Jenkins of Drakesboro and Michelle Lynn of Greenville; four step-great-grandchildren, Jessy Jenkins of Drakesboro, Erin Phelps, Ellee Phelps and Erika Phelps, all of Greenville and a special friend, Donna Lindsay of Drakesboro.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 20 at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with the Rev. Kerry Vincent, the Rev. Robert Lindsay and the Rev. Bobby Allen, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Highway Cemetery in Drakesboro.
Leonard Earl Linville
GRAHAM Leonard Earl Linville, 70, died Monday, March 14, 2005 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County Sept. 14, 1934, he was a crane operator and of the Holiness faith.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Whitehouse Linville; three sons, James Linville of Madisonville, Michael Linville of South Carolina and William Linville of Henderson; four daughters, Ruby Romans of Henderson, Letha Diann Hobbs of Madisonville, Jennie Inman of Florida and Sabrina Proctor of Beech Grove; three step-daughters, Dorothy Linville of Louisville, Mary Grant and Linda Sis, both of South Carolina; five brothers, Dean Linville of Madisonville, J.T. Linville of Hopkinsville, Herschel Linville of Paducah, Buddy Linville of South Carolina and Bill Linville of Graham; a sister, Virginia Linville of South Carolina; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 18 at Crossing Holiness Church with the Rev. Bill Penrod officiating. Burial followed in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Annie Mae Jones
GREENVILLE Annie Mae Jones, 95, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Madisonville March 13, 1910, the daughter of the late Walter Clark and Ida Clark Sharber, she was a member of the Lively Stone Church of Apostolic Faith in Nortonville. She was the owner and operator of the Poplar Grove Rest Home of Greenville and Crofton Bradley Park in Crofton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lettie Gant and Nellie Dobbins and three brothers, James, Raymond and Charlie Sharber.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Steele of Lexington; a son, Kenneth Jones of Louisville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at noon March 19 at the Lively Stone Church of Apostolic Faith in Nortonville with Elder Frank Strafford officiating. Burial followed in the White Plains Cemetery. Mason and Sons Funeral Home in Madisonville was in charge of arrangements.
Bobby Joe Peveler
SACRAMENTO Bobby Joe Peveler, 74, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County April 13, 1930, the son of the late George and Flora Peveler, he was retired from International Harvester Company, a Korean War Veteran and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Bremen. He was preceded in death by a son, David Joe Peveler in 1985; a brother, Dallace Peveler and three sisters, Merline Peveler, Nell Markwell and Bonnie Harper.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rebecca Sadler Peveler; a son, Michael Peveler of New Albany, Ind.; two brothers, Boyd Peveler of New Albany, Ind. and Winfred Peveler of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Roma Gibson and Eva O’Neal, both of House Springs, Mo. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 19 at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with the Rev. Dan Yeager officiating. Burial followed in New Harmony Cemetery in Bremen. Expressions of sympathy can be made to New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 8525 St. Rt. 181 North, Bremen, KY 42325.
Senora Jessie
KIRKMANSVILLE Senora Jessie, 68, died Friday, March 18, 2005 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of lung cancer.
Born in Edmonton County Jan. 18, 1937, the son of the late Clarence and Eunice Fields Jessie, he worked for SuperValu for 36 years as a truck driver and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Collin Jessie in 2004 and a sister, Lillian Jessie in 1937.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Brenda Jessie; a son, Kerry Jessie of Kirkmansville; two daughters, Pam McGehee of Clifty and Belinda Francies of Allegre; two brothers, Phillip Jessie and Dan Jessie, both of Bowling Green; five sisters, Naomi Gilbert, Cleo Conner, Phylis Lindsey, Betty Lindsey and Sue Yates, all of Bowling Green and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 20, 2005 at New Harmony General Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Evitts and the Rev. Lloyd Tucker officiating. Burial followed in the Clifty Christian Church Cemetery. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton was in charge of arrangements.
Murtry Iglehart
SACRAMENTO Murtry Iglehart, 66, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Sacramento July 1, 1938, the son of the late Murtry Sr. and Verla Tucker Iglehart, he retired from Peabody Coal with 24 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1961 to 1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Murtry enjoyed U.K. basketball, dirt car racing, camping and fishing, having his family eat Sunday supper with him, hanging out at the local restaurant talking to his buddies and giving out advice about repairing heavy equipment and farm equipment.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ann Iglehart; two sons, Monty (Judy) Iglehart and Mark (Tracy) Iglehart, all of Sacramento; a grandson, Chasen Iglehart; a granddaughter, Lindsay Iglehart; two brothers, Jimmy Iglehart of Sacramento and Gerald Iglehart of Princeton and a sister, Virginia Lois Barnett of Sacramento.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 21 at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Bro. Harold Butler and Bro. Jesse Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Station Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Station Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Green River Hospice.
Clyde Edward Moore
Clyde Edward Moore, 76, died Friday, March 18, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County May 21, 1925, he was a member of Green River General Baptist Church in Central City and the retired owner and operator of Central City Lumber Company. He was also a member of the Central City Masonic Lodge and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by a son, Joey Moore in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Moore; a son, Brent Moore of Central City; a daughter, Sheila Bullock of Central City and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 21 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Jewell Martin officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
Oscar L. Wilson
Oscar L. Wilson, 77, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County Aug. 18, 1927, he was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Cusic Wilson; four sons, Mike Wilson of Evansville, Derwin Wilson of Drakesboro, Daniel Wilson and Manuel Wilson, both of Central City; four daughters, Vivian Williamson of Evansville, Belinda O’Clair of Maine, Rhonda Chesnel and Sheila Adcock, both of Central City; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. March 22 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. T.H. Davis officiating. Burial followed in Nelson Creek Cemetery.
Ronald E. Cory
Ronald E. Cory, 77, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at his son’s residence.
Born in Onondaga County, New York June 30, 1927, he was a steamfitter in construction and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce “Shemwell” Cory; three sons, Gary Lee Cory of Florida, Stephen E. Cory of Greenville, Tenn. and Wayne A. Cory of Cato, N.Y.; three daughters, Gail Ann Cherlin of Cottonwood, Ariz., Joyce E. Case of Martville, N.Y. and Donna Lynn Marshall of Cato, N.Y.; a stepson, Tony Daniel of Central City; two stepdaughters, Charolotte Morris and Darlene Bates, both of Central City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. March 23 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Shemwell officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. March 22 at Tucker Funeral Home.
Charles Wayne Wilson
Charles Wayne Wilson, 46, died Friday, March 18, 2005 at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.
He was born in Muhlenberg County July 4, 1958.
Survivors include a daughter, Gina Wilson of Central City; three brothers, Tommy Wilson of Greenville, Roger Wilson of Evansville and Leroy Wilson of Graham; four sisters, Donna Fortney of Bowling Green, Peggy Sallee of Newburg, Ind., Mildred Woerter and Betty O’Bannon and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. March 22 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. T.H. Davis officiating.
Mary Elizabeth Carr
Mary Elizabeth Carr, 82, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
Born in Muhlenberg County April 8, 1922, she was a homemaker and a member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Carr in 1983 and a son, Louis in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Larry Carr of Shephardsville, Ky.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 23 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Jewell Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be at 4:30 p.m. March 22 at Tucker Funeral Home.
Charles C. Reynolds
EASTLAKE, OHIO Charles C. Reynolds, 84, died Friday, March 18, 2005.
Born in Greenville March 18, 1921, the son of the late Charles A. and Mossie Robison Reynolds, he was a very active member of Willoughby Baptist Church for nearly 50 years and served as a deacon there for 46 years. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Euclid Community 137. He was employed as an automation operator at the former TRW Valve Division in Cleveland, Ohio and retired in 1986 after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Neva Nell Reynolds in 1992 and three sisters, Moltie Knight, Eather Fulkerson and Estell Bowers.
Survivors include his wife, Debra J. Reynolds; three children, Avery Darrell (Sharon) Reynolds of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio, Sheila (Manley) Hamrick of Willoughby, Ohio and Tina Lynn (Alan) Clifton of Perry, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Martha (Art) Hayes of Grantsburg, Wis.; two stepsons, Charles (Cindy) Smith and Dan (Nancy) Smith, both of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Local funeral services will be at 11 a.m. March 23 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Evitts officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. March 22 at Gary’s Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. L. Rodford McDonald
CAMPBELLSVILLE Rev. Dr. L. Rodford McDonald, 91, died Saturday, March 19, 2005.
Born in Taylor County April 3, 1913, the son of the late Moses Samson McDonald and Ora Mae Malone McDonald, he professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Kentucky Annual Conference and held his charge conference papers at the First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville. He was a retired Methodist minister having served churches in Greenville, Louisville, Glasgow, Cumberland, Russell and Taylor Counties. He was a former District Superintendent of the Campbellsville District and served as the president of Lindsey Wilson College from 1971 to 1978. He graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 1940 and also holds degrees from Campbellsville University and Asbury College. He attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He received honorary doctorate degrees from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1960 and Lindsey Wilson College in 2004. He was the last surviving grandson of James Wallis McDonald, a Union soldier who was able to survive the explosion of the steamer Sultana while returning to Kentucky from a Confederate prison. He united in marriage to Margaret Phillips May 30, 1942. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Amelia Gabehart and Kerdieth McDonald and three brothers, Edward McDonald, Charles “Buck” McDonald and Pauline Farmer Thrasher.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret McDonald; two sisters, Mozelle Hogan of Campbellsville and Helen Hogg of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 22 at the First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville with the Rev. Billy Joe Cox, Dr. Ted Beam, Dr. Wally Thomas and the Rev. Paul Fryman officiating. Burial followed in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of arrangements.

Anna Jean Dodd, 55, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County March 12, 1950, the daughter of Woodrow and Edith Sigers, she was a member of Trinity General Baptist Church in Clifty and employed at Twin Rivers Health Care Furniture Factory.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Alan Dodd; her parents; two sons, Brian Reed and David Reed, both of Central City; a daughter, Tina Mannahan of Central City; a stepdaughter, Heather Garrison of Fort Worth, Texas and six brothers, Billy Sigers of Bremen, Wendell Sigers of Greenville, Kenneth Sigers of Paducah, Joe Sigers of Bremen, Mike Sigers of Greenville and Steve Sigers of Central City.

Born in Muhlenberg County March 1, 1936, the daughter of Thelma and the late Noble Benson, she was a homemaker and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church Survivors include her husband, Bobby J. Hill; a daughter, Lynn Stanley of Belton; three brothers, Buddy Benson, Donnie Benson and Wayne Benson, all of Greenville; five sisters, June McGhee, Ruby Knight, Brenda Benson, all of Greenville, Dorothy Griffin of Frankfort, Ind. and Shirley LeDuc of Escanonaba, Mich.; her mother, Thelma Benson of Greenville; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jerald V. “J.V.” Withrow, 80, died Friday, March 17, 2006 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County, Sept. 21, 1925, he was retired from Kentucky Utilities Co., a member of Central City Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Ward Withrow; a son, Ronald J. (Jenny) Withrow of Owensboro; four daughters, Deborah (Bill) Houston and Penny (Mike) Cloud, both of Florida, Mary Jane Withrow of Slaughters and Debbie (Doug) West of Greenville; a brother, Bobby Joe (Barbara) Withrow; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
