Survivors include two sons, Bill DeWeese of LaPine, Ore. and Bob DeWeese of LeGrange, Ill.; two daughters, Edna Hocker of Justice, Ill. and Pat Brown of Galatin, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Nov. 27 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. R.D. Mize officiating.Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
Rufus Glenn Stanley
GREENVILLE - Rufus Glenn Stanley, 49, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004 in the Crittenden County Hospital in Marion of a heart attack.
Born in Muhlenberg County, Oct. 10, 1955, the son of Barbara Jean Mayes Stanley and the late William Rufus Stanley, he was a meat councilor for Food Giant Corporation for 33 years.
Survivors include two sons, Donavin (Brittany)Stanley and Scott Stanley, both of Greenville; a daughter, Amy Stanley of Barbaton, Ohio; a brother, William Thomas Stanley of Greenville; eight sisters, Brenda Jackson of Louisville, Beatrice Cornette of Murray, Connie Marie Slaughters of Clarksville, Tenn., Cindy Elain Polson of Grand Praire, Texas, Angel Darlene Taylor of Hazel, Lisa Gail Willis of Columbia, and Brooksie Dukes and Mary Jeanetta Kelly, both of Greenville; and one grandchild, Brayden Stanley.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Nov. 28 at Gary’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Stovall officiating.Burial followed in Yeargins Chapel Cemetery in Graham.
Hazel Tyson Winters
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - Hazel Tyson Winters, 86, formerly of Central City, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004 at The Harbor in Clifton Park.
Born in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of the late Bert and Margery Green Tyson, she was a graduate of Graham High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Central City.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Winters in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Ron Winters of Clifton Park; a sister, Audrey Ocheltree of Chula Vista, Calif.; a brother, Juel Tyson of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; a grandson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Nov. 29 at Tucker Funeral Home.Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.

LEWISBURG - Hazel Marie Myers, 70, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville.
Born in Muhlenberg County, Jan. 23, 1934, to the late William Garteen DeArmond and Susie Fleming DeArmond, she was a retired janitor for Rockwell.She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Myers.
Survivors include a daughter, Lana Sweeney of Dunmor; two sons, Jerry Myers of Opelika, Ala. and George Myers of Lewisburg; two sisters, Velma Jenkins and Patty Whittaker, both of Dunmor; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Nov. 30 at Price Funeral Home.Burial followed in Dunmor Cemetery in Dunmor.

Sandra Darlene Harper, 48, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Hopkins County, June 20, 1956, she was a childcare provider and a member of the Church of Christ in West Virginia.
Survivors include a son, Seth Harper; a sister, Cheryl Goode of West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Nov. 30 at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with the Rev. J.W. Haire officiating.Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen.
Nathan Lee Renfrow
HORSE BRANCH - Nathan Lee Renfrow, 23, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004 at Horse Branch.
Born in Daviess County, July 30, 1981, to Walton Lee Renfrow, Jr. and Debby Maiden Renfrow, he attended Horse Branch General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jaxon Tyler Edwards Renfrow; two sisters, Jaime “Mimi” Renfrow of Madisonville and Ashley “Sissy” Renfrow of Rochester; grandmother, Dortha Allen Renfrow of Horse Branch; and an aunt, Phyllis Renfrow of Central City.
Funeral services were held Nov. 28 at Horse Branch General Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Tarrence officiating.Burial followed in Wilson Cemetery in Horse Branch.

Harold L. Dukes
Powderly - Mr. Harold L. Dukes, Sr., 68, of Powderly died Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
Mr. Dukes was born in Muhlenberg County on April 2, 1933 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Dukes. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and TVA. He was a member of Woodson Baptist Church. From 1950-1970 Mr. Dukes served on the USS Klein Smith APD134, USS Alshain AKA55, and USS Donner LSD20. He served one tour in Korea, one tour in Vietnam and served on eight, six month Mediterranean Cruises, two South African Cruises and many two to three month cruises. He picked up the first chimpanzee (Ham-Chip) in space while aboard the USS Donner. Mr. Dukes received good conduct medals, four bronze stars, Navy Occupation Service Medal with Europe Clasp, National Defense Service Medal with one bronze star, Korean Service Medal, United Nation Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with bronze star and the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. He was preceded in death by not only his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Dukes, but also his brother, Wesley Dukes.
Survivors include his wife, Janice “Vincent” Dukes; one son, Harold L. Dukes, Jr. of Central City; one daughter, Nona Ann Robards of Greenville; two grandchildren, Bobby Joe Dukes and Taylor Beth Robards; one great-grandchild, Terry Lee Phelps Dukes; one brother, Don Dukes of Central City; and two sisters, Donna Minton of Charlotte, N.C. and Faye McIntosh of Oakland City, In.

Drakesboro - Mrs. Virginia Katherine Dwyer, 71, of Drakesboro died Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
Mrs. Dwyer was born in Muhlenberg County on August 30, 1930. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Sue Dwyer. Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Dwyer; one son, Charles Ray Dwyer of Drakesboro; one daughter, Virginia Carol Bratcher of Drakesboro; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Reverend Gish was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 19, 1953. He was a Minister at Trinity Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Vincent Gish; one son, Benjamin Gish of Central City; his mother, Mary Gish of Sacramento; and four brothers, Freddy Ray Gish of Bremen, Allen J. Gish of Bremen,
Rick Joe Gish of Beech Grove and Timothy Wade Gish of Sacramento.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 15, 2002 at Trinity Pentecostal Church. Burial followed in New Harmony Cemetery in Bremen.

Tommy Vanover, Jr.
Bremen - Mr. Tommy Vanover, Jr., 70, of Bremen died Friday, January 11, 2002 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. Mr. Vanover had retired from Kentucky Utilities Company. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Louise Vanover; two sons, Danny and Gary Vanover of Bremen; three daughters, Edna McCoy and Linda Neal of Bremen and Gertie Conway of Moorman; one brother, Carlos Vanover of Bremen; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, January 14, 2002 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen. Greenville - Mr. Gerald J. McCormick, 61, of Greenville died Friday, January 11, 2002 at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. McCormick was born in Muhlenberg County on September 18, 1940. He was a coal miner and an
Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Doris Holland McCormick; three sons, David Smith, Mark Smith and John Paul Smith all of Central City; three daughters, Beverly Smith of Central City, Georgetta Byrd of Henderson and Tammy McCormick of Central City; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and
three sisters, Christine Foster, Grace McCormick and Ann McCormick all of Rockport. Funeral services were privately conducted by Tucker Funeral Home.

Belleview, Florida - Mrs. Delores Jean Engler, 62, of Belleview, Florida, died Saturday, January 12, 2002 at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida.
Mrs. Engler was born in Rockport, Kentucky to the late Everett and Stella Key. She came to Belleview from Evansville in 1992. She was a Produce Associate in the Grocery Industry. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Bobby O. Engler of Belleview, Florida; one son, John Thomas Engler of Central City; one daughter, Andrea Engler Jenkins of Evansville; four grandchildren, Jamie Engler and Jessie Engler of Central City and Sarah Hall Jenkins and Adam Jenkins of Evansville. Louisville - Mrs. Doris M. Williams, 78, of Louisville died Sunday, January 13, 2002 at Norton Suburban Hospital. Mrs. Williams was the former Doris M. Marcum, native of Salyersville, Ky. She was a member of Salyersville Christian Church, Louisville Kennel Club and daughters of American Revolution. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Marshall W. and Emma Harper Williams.
Survivors include her husband, Ellis G. Williams; one son, Thomas G. Williams; one daughter-in-law, Corinne M. Williams; grandchildren, Thomas M, Amy C and Kyle J. GREENVILLE - Rev. Earl H. Mitchell, 91, departed his earthly home for his heavenly home, while surrounded by his loving family, Monday, Nov. 21, 2005.
Born in Nortonville July 25, 1914, he was the son of the late Lunsford and Leota Putman Mitchell.He graduated from Nortonville High School in Nortonville; Bethel College in Hopkinsville and attended Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville.His pastorates included New Hope Church in Moorman; Nelson Creek Church and Temple Baptist, both in Central City; West Camp Baptist in Muleshoe, Texas; Salem Baptist in Oak Grove, Ky.; First Baptist in Pembroke, Ky.; Greenwood Baptist in Bowling Green; Crofton Baptist in Crofton; Oak Grove Baptist in Cadiz, Ky.; First Baptist in Sebree; Covert Avenue Baptist in Evansville, Ind.; Trinity Baptist in Hopkinsville; Watson Lane Baptist and retiring form New Barren Springs Baptist, both in Hopkinsville.He was preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow (Hack) and a grandson, Kevin Mitchell.

Born in White Plains, Ky. June 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Marwood Theodore Fox and Beulah F. Nickens Fox.She was employed as a schoolteacher with the Muhlenberg County Board of Education and a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Charles Steinbrink.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Lee Steinbrink of Rosewood; four brothers, Frank Jewell Fox and Harold Dean Fox, both of Dunmor, George Russell Fox of Gatlinburg, Tenn. and Lyndell Ray Fox of Belton; a sister, Myrtle Mae Miller of Port Orange, Fla.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
