George Marshall Gray, 84, Russell Springs, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, in Cold Springs, KY. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Parks Ridge Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Irin Gray, Russell Springs, five sons, Ken Gray, Silver Grove, KY, Phil Gray, Cincinnati, OH, Harry Hanlon, Russell Springs, Mike Hanlon, St. Petersburg, FL, Marshall Gray, Jr. Alexandria, KY and three daughters, Olive June Gray, Cincinnati, OH, Jackie Barrs, Ft. Pierce, FL, and Patty Dempsey, Cold Springs, KY, two sisters, Lucy Brown, Whitesburg, KY, Gertrude Greene, Washington, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 9th at the Parks Ridge Church of God with Bro. Mike McQueary officiating. Special Music was provided by Starlene Foley and Todd Baird.
Interment was in the Parks Ridge Cemetery.

Sarah Emerson, 89, Russell Springs, passed away Tuesday, March 5 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, James T. (Debby) Emerson, Richmond, one brother, Oda Emerson, Cincinnati, OH, two sisters, Odessa Allen, Cincinnati, OH, Sue (Bob) Rouse, Cincinnati, OH. four grandchildren, A.D. (Linda) Wilkerson, Debra (Greg) Wade, Michael (Tonya) Emerson, Joy Emerson (Jerry) Poynter, one son-in-law, Hugh (Anna Faye) Wilkerson, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great children.
She was preceded in death by one son, Alva Emerson, and one daughter, Lucille Emerson Wilkerson.
Funeral services were Friday, March 8th in the chapel of the Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Greene and Bro. Monroe Robertson officiating. Special music was provided by June Gaskins, Sherry Redmon, Janice Popplewell, and Gary Emerson.
Interment was in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers were Estes Emerson and Ivan Emerson. Active pallbearers were J.S. Emerson, Charles Emerson, Bodie Emerson, Gary Emerson, Don Emerson and Glen Allen.

Elberteen Jackson, 78, Russell Springs, passed away Friday, March 7th at his residence. He was a retired factory worker.
He is survived by one brother, Curtis Hill, Cincinnati, OH and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 12 in the chapel of the Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Cooper officiating.
Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Cox, Greg Cox, Eddie Stephens, Danny Hill, Rusty Hill, and Tony Hill.

Mary Haynes, 92, Russell Springs, formerly of Dayton, OH, passed away Thursday, March 7th at the Russell County Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by one son, Pastor Fred Haynes, Russell Springs.
Funeral services and interment were in Dayton, OH.

Ruth Jean Wilson, 78, formerly of Russell County passed away Tuesday, March 5th in Louisville.
She is survived by her husband, Lowrey Wilson and one son, Phillip Wilson, both of Louisville, one sister, Clarice Williams, Lexington, two nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services were Thursday, March 7th at the Highland Funeral Home in Louisville.
Local services were graveside Friday, March 8th at the Russell Springs Cemetery.

Imogene Willis Burton
Imogene Willis Burton, 70, Columbia, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 18 at the Summit Manor Nursing Home after several months of illness. She was a retired sewing machine operator and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Arnie Lee and Doshie Goodin Willis of Adair County.
She is survived by two sons, Dale (Cindi) Burton and Jimmy D. (Teresa) Burton, both of Columbia, three daughters, Judy Gail (Louie) Beard and Janie Burton, both of Columbia, and Jana Lynn (Rev. Kenneth) Jessee, Radcliff, KY, and one sisiter-in-law, Gladys Redmon Willis, Columbia, nine grandchildren, and a special caretaker and friend, Bessie Grasham, Columbia.
Funeral services were Monday, May 20 in the chapel of the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Atwell and Rev. Kenneth Jessee officiating.
Interment was in the Bearwallow Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby Burton, Donald Gene Burton, Tommy Burton, Cordell Coomer, George Howard, Earl Keltner and Johnnie Rooks. Active Pallbearers were Harold Burton, Joey Burton, Roger Burton, Kenneth “Munk” Cook, Ralph Curry and James Willis.

Charles Canada, 62, Bellevue, KY passed away on Saturday, May, 18.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Canada, Bellevue, one son, Allen Canada, Bellevue, KY, two daughters, Paula Gross, Tempe, AZ. and Hope Canada, Bellevue, KY. two brothers, D.C. Canada, Loveland, OH. and Bruce Canada, Amelia, OH., one sister, Virginia Scales, Russell Springs, KY. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mitchell Brown, 56, Bernard Ridge passed away Saturday, May 18 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green after a long illness. He was a long time member of the Russell Springs Fire Department and a car detailer.
He is survived by two brothers, Fred Brown, Shelbyville, IN and Joe D. Brown, Russell Springs, four sisters, Bethel Coffey and Ann Stiers, both of Shelbyville, IN, Pearl Williams and Lila Sutton, both of Russell Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Roe and Flora Bennett Brown, one sister, Jenny Yeadon, and two brothers, Harlan Jr. Brown and Tolly Brown.
Funeral services were Monday, May 20 In the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Lawless officiating.
Interment was in the Bernard Cemetery with the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department serving as pallbearers.

She is survived by two sons, Samuel Crew and Warren Wright, both of Russell Springs, three daughters, Iva Dean, Indianapolis, IN, Evonne Chumbley, Russell Springs, and Teresa Ellis, Jamestown, three brothers, Adrian Crew, Ernest Crew, and James Crew, all of Russell Springs, and five sisters, Elizabeth Piper, Louisville, Maudie Hawliks, OH, Della Luttrell, Liberty, Alvada Rexroat, Russell Springs, and Ruth Claypool, FL, 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, May 19 in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Brown officiating. Special music was presented by Daniel Wilson.
Interment was in the Poplar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeremy Wright, Michael Chumbley, Paul Chumbley, Jeff Crew, Jamie Crew, and Larry Warriner.
