Clorine Burd, 82, widow of Ruel Burd died Monday in Danville.
She was a retired owner and operator of Burd's Department Store and Burd's Grocery.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Stiegler of Lenoir City, Tennessee and Teresa McElroy of Russell Springs; three grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen Schneider and one brother Kenneth Taylor both of Louisville.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 27, 2000 at the Rippetoe Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jessie Waltz officiating. Burial in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Sherman, Kentucky.

William "Bill" Browning
William "Bill" Browning, 64, Russell Springs, died Friday, April 28, 2000 at the Russell County Hospital, Chairman of the Board of Russell County EMS (six years), active member of the Russell County Jaycees (approx. 30 years) and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a retired UPS employee, a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
He was born in Russell County March 3, 1936 to the late Lura Kate Antle Browning and the late John Simpson Browning.
He was preceded in death by on step son Victor Flanagan.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Wells Browning; three daughters, Carol Lawless and her husband Carson of Jamestown, Susan Browning of Lexington and Kelly Smith and her husband Danny of Somerset; four sisters, Lois Salmon of Osgood, Indiana, Susan Cruse of Russell Springs, Louise Cruse, of Terre Haute, Indiana and Rosemary Turner of Jamestown. Four grandchildren, Cristal Ellis, Justin Sullivan, Landon Smith and Cianna Smith also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 30, 2000 at Bernard Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Helm officiating.
Burial was in the Russell Springs Cemetery.
Special music was performed by Julia Rogers.
Active pallbearers were Scott Pierce, Mike Burris, Mickey Garner, Robert Leach, Craig Leach and Danny Voils. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Russell County EMS and the Russell County Jaycees.
E. Wayne Wilder
Mr. E. Wayne Wilder, 58, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, April 27, 2000 at Westlake Regional Hospital. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army and a Respiratory Therapist. He was also a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Ina Faye Wilder, Russell Springs; one son, Dennis Wilder, Ewing, Virginia; one daughter, Angelia Reasor, Apex, North Carolina; three sisters, Hazel Thomas and Emma Hilton, both of Pennington Gap, Virginia and Brenda Price, Jasper, Georgia; three brothers, Emmett Wilder, Jonesville, Virginia; Lawrence Wilder, Harrigot, Tennessee; Don Wilder, Jasper, Georgia.
Five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 29, 2000 at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Frank Merrill officiating. Graveside service was held on Sunday, April 30, 2000 by Evans Family Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy were requested to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers were Tim Roy, Terry Burchett, O.C. Whittle, Waldo Adamson, Jerry Burchett and Matthew Thomas. Honorary pallbearers were Zachary Reasor, Jacob Wilder, Timothy Wilder and Elisha Wilder.
Arrangements were by Wilson Funeral Home.
Lois Christine Grider Morgan
Lois Christine Grider Morgan, 76, Russell Springs died Friday, May 19, 2000 at the Russell County Hospital.
She was born in Russell County February 10, 1924 to the late Verna Shearer Grider and Cotz Grider.
She was a cook at the Russell County High School cafeteria and a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bartie Morgan; one son, Bobby Morgan; one daughter, Jane Shepherd Purcell and one granddaughter, Amy Latae Morgan; and several brothers.
She is survived by three children, Shirley Grider and her husband Orvis of Columbia; David Morgan and his wife Brenda and Jerry Morgan and his wife Teresa all of Russell Springs; two brothers, Ralph Grider and Bill Grider, both of Indiana; four sisters, Joyce Warriner and Verna Pearl Webb, both of Hope, Indiana; Doris Rooks and Janice Bennett, both of Edinburg, Indiana; five grandchildren, Tammy Grider, Tony Grider, Robbie Morgan, Jeremy Morgan and Clark Shepherd; two great-grandchildren Josh Grider and Austin Clark Shepherd.
Funeral services were held Sunday May 21, 2000, 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Janes and Rev. Jeff York officiating.
Burial was in Russell County Memorial Gardens.
Special music was provided by the church choir.
Pallbearers were Robbie Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, Robert Miller, Tony Grider, Josh Grider, Clark Shepherd and Ronnie Shepherd.
Bernard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Junior Adamson
Junior Adamson, 71, Columbia passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville after an illness.
He was the son of the late Walter and Ruth Bailey Adamson.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Knight Adamson of Columbia; one daughter, Sheila Carter and her husband Bo, Cambridge, Ohio; four sons, Kenneth Adamson of Elizabethtown, Jerry Adamson and his wife Denise of Columbia, Walter 'Waldo' Adamson Adamson and his wife Jackie of Russell Springs and Ricky Adamson and his wife Tammy of Columbia; one sister, Jeanette Grider and her husband Marvin 'MT' of Edinburgh, Indiana. Nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
Junior had made a profession of faith on Sept. 3, 1972, he was a retired School Bus Driver for 29 years for the Adair County Board of Education and was also a farmer.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 19, 2000, 11:00 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Bryant and Rev. Stanley Watson officiating.
Interment was in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tommy Grider, Vernie Grider, David McQueen, Arnold McGaha, Jerry Powell and Shane Powell.
Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Hayes, Al Sullivan, Walter Grider, J.W. Keltner, Jim Hayes, Jim Evans, Cosby Cundiff, Curtis Wilson, Fred Fudge, Creed Lacy and Kermit Grider.
The family ask that donations be made the American Cancer Society.

Edward Ray Oliver
Edward Ray Oliver, 81, Creelsboro, died at his home Tuesday morning of an apparent heart attack.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Reeder Oliver and one sister, Emma Ann Witham.
Mr. Oliver was a veteran of the U.S. Army and WWII.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 19th at the Chapel of Rippetoe Funeral Home with Bro. Carroll Egnew and Bro. Stephen Oliver officiating.
Special music was provided by Bro. Carroll and Phyllis Egnew.
Burial will be in the Bledsoe Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scott Wells, James Overby, Lowell Cummings, Barry Back, Mike Reeder, Ralph Bass and Terry Rawlings.
J.B. Flatt
J.B. Flatt, 60, Russell Springs, died Tuesday at Westlake Medical Center in Columbia.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Ann Calhoun Flatt; three sons, Dale Flatt, Michael Wayne Flatt and Darry Glen Flatt all of Russell Springs; two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Moore of Tollesboro, Kentucky and Teresa Ann Loy of Russell Springs; three brothers, Rufus, Ralph and Roscoe Flatt all of Russell Springs and one sister, Geneva Bryant of Hammersville, Ohio. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 18, 2000 at the Chapel of Rippetoe Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Hart and Bro. Robert Knight officiating.
Special music was provided by Bro. Jeff Montgomery.
Pallbearers were Dale, Darry, Joshua, Mike, Stevie and Nicholas Flatt, Matthew Loy and Greg Moore.
