Vernon, KY; four brothers, Dean (Susan) Wilson, David (Sharon) Wilson, Orena, IL, Royce (Joyce) Wilson, Bloomington, IL, and Avery (Alana) Wilson, DeWitt, IL; two sisters, Agnes Schrepfer, and Shirley (Duke) Merrill, both of Clinton, IL; 24 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were Friday, August 8, 2003 in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Holloway officiating. Interment was in the Russell Springs, Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Dennis Wilson, Paul David Coffey, Harold Wiend, John Rapp, Daryl Robertson, David Hare, Joe Wilson and Travis Hale. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Lola Jasper Wilson, 98, Russell Springs, KY passed away Monday, June 23, 2003 at the Russell County Hospital. She was a retired Barber and a member of the Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church. Survivors include a niece, Nelda Age, Shepherdsville, KY; two nephews, Hollie Jasper, Russell Springs, KY and J.T. Winfrey, Anderson, IN, also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in the chapel of the Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Coe and Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating. Special music was provided by Heavenly Harmony. Interment was in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Jasper, Bobby Jasper, Ashley White, Larry Miller, Lonnie White, and Jamison Miller. R.V. Wilson, 79, Radcliff, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. He was a retired carpenter and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one son, Glendale (Judy) Wilson, Radcliffe, KY; one sister, Lillian Grider, Russell Springs, KY; one grandson, Dale (Trish) Wilson, Glendale, KY; one great granddaughter, Kristen Wilson, Radcliffe, KY; and one niece and nephew also survive. Funeral services were Friday, May 2, 2003 in the chapel of the Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Cleveland Johnson officiating. Special music was provided by Stephanie Foley. Retha Fern Wilson, 50, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the Russell County Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Grove United Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Jamie Wilson, Russell Springs, KY; two daughters, Crystal Wilson and Quincy Gosser, both of Russell Springs, KY; four sisters, Liz Morrison, Winchester, IN, Naomi Wells and Ina Harris, both of Russell Springs, and Shirley Chumbley, Indianapolis, IN.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 7, 2003 in the chapel of the Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Herl Robertson and Bro. Jerry Arms officiating. Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Robert L. Wilson, 58, Jamestown, KY passed away Friday, May 30, 2003 at the Russell County Hospital. He was a member of the Fair Board, Jaycees Fair Manager, Jamestown City Attorney for 10 years, District Judge 40th Judicial District from 1998 until 2002, County Attorney 1972 till 1975 private law practice from 1967 until 1998, and Circuit Judge 57th Judicial District from 2002 until his time of death and a member of the Jamestown First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Delores Rogers Wilson, Jamestown, KY; three sons, John R. (Jamie) Wilson, Lexington, KY, William Todd (Leslie) Parson, and Patrick Parson, both of Bowling Green, KY; three daughters, DeLynn Wilson, Frankfort, KY, Tonia (David) Johns, Bowling Green, KY and Kimberly (Creig) Ewing, Louisville, KY; his father, Leonard E. Wilson, Jamestown; one brother, William W. (Rebecca) Wilson, Jamestown, KY; one step-brother, Ross Kramer, Washington, D.C.; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday, June 2, 2003 at the Jamestown First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Mosley officiating. Interment was in the Russell Springs Cemetery. H.E. Mr. Roe Wesley Wilson, 78, Of Rt.2, Mt. Vernon, KY passed away Thursday, May 29, 2003 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY, after a brief illness. He was born on June 23, 1924, in Russell Springs, KY., a son of the late A.T. and Vena Lee Ashbrook Wilson. He was a Navy Veteran and he was retired from General Motors where he worked in Quality Control. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was a member of the Protestant faith. Those left to mourn his passing, include his daughters, Tracy Koehler and husband Kenny of Wabash, IN; Lisa Wilson- Mason and Janie Barker. A brother, Roy Wilson and his wife Lorene of Milford, OH; a sister, Irene Beane of Russell Springs, KY; six grandchildren; an aunt, Louella Robertson, Russell Springs, KY; and a special friend, Mrs. Elva Langford of Calloway, KY and her family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Harrison Wilson and two brothers. Funeral services were Sunday June 1, 2003 in the chapel of Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Billy Medley officiating. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Beldon, Gary Langford and Michael Beard. Marvin E. Cleda Carter Wolford, 58, Of the Millerfields Community, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2003 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was the widow of Almon Wolford. Survivors include, three sons, Cody and Collin Wolford, and Larry Sample, all of Adair County, two daughters, Marissa Holmes, Adair County and Tammy Zavalita, Louisville, KY; four brothers, Timothy Carter and Morris Carter, both of Russell Springs, KY, William Carter, Indiana, and Mitchell Carter, Adair County; five sisters, Brenda Carter, Russell Springs, KY, Donna Carter and Valeta Carter, Adair County, Bonita McWhorter, South Carolina and Mary Owens, Shepherdsville, KY; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Funeral services were Thursday, June 11, 2003 in the chapel of the Rippetoe Funeral Home. Rippetoe Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
