He was a retired minister and a member of Russell Lodge #284. Survivors include two sons, Robert (Joyce) Helm and Billy (Lucy) Helm, both of Jamestown, KY; one sister, Gertrude Malone, of Jamestown, KY; and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday, August 20, 2003 in the chapel of H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with Bro. Don Hatton officiating. Interment was in the Jack Lawless Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wilbur Barnes, Roger Barnes, Jimmy Harper, Roy Wheat, Adron Wheat and Dale Malone. H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
Laura Josephine "Jo" Antle Henry, Of Jamestown, Kentucky, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at her home. She was survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Dr. Charles Victor Henry and three children Dr. Ann Karen Henry of Southborough, Mass., Dr. Mark Allen Henry of Somerset, Ky. and Laura Henry Harris of Columbia, Ky. She is also survived by one brother, Thruston Antle and eight grandchildren. She was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church for forty-four years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Women. Jo graduated from the Lindsey Wilson College and Eastern Kentucky University. Jo was also a retired teacher from the Russell County School system where she taught for more than twenty-five years as an English and Gifted and Talented teacher. She was born on August 23, 1930 in Jamestown, Kentucky to the late Senator Robert Antle and Angie Noma Miller Antle. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jordan Antle and sisters, Corinne Antle Smith, Elizabeth Antle, Pearl Antle Loy, Lillie Antle Henderson and Lettie Antle. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of gifts to the Henry Endowed Scholarship Fund at Lindsey Wilson college or to the Jamestown Untied Methodist church. Funeral services were held at the Jamestown United Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 5, 2003. Interment was in the Jamestown Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were Women’s Wednesday Morning Prayer Group. Active Pallbearers were Louis Jordan Antle, Jerry Schureman, Edwin Smith, Michael Wallace, Timothy Henry, Phillip Henry, Clifford Sparks, Jerry Loy. H.E. Eris Holt, 79, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Bloomington Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1924, in Russell Co., the son of Orley and Cora (Montgomery) Holt. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma (Brown) Holt; one brother Earl Holt; two sisters Francis (Holt) Lawless and Thelma (Holt) Riggins, and one grandson, Cody Antolik. He was retierd from General Motors in Indianapolis, and was a member of UAW local #22, member of Dolan Ridge Community Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. His survivors include his present wife, Peggy (Smith) Holt; six children: Shelia Neal, husband Randall, of Albany, KY; C.E. Holt, wife Pam; Karen Tamewitz, husband Joe; David Turpin, wife Tina, all of Bloomington: Faren “Pete” Turpin, wife Treva, Vernon, FL, and Sandra Jacobs, husband Rick, of Attica, IN. Fifteen grandchildren: Michael Holt, wife Amber, Eris Lee Holt, Shelia Holt, Randall Neal Jr., wife Barbara, Ronnie K. Neal, wife Rose: Teddy Scales, wife Misty: Shaylee Wilson, Eric and Joey Tamewitz, Leah Antolik, husband Cory, Lisa Turpin, Shawn and Megan Allen, Hunter and Hagen Jacobs. Nine great-grandchildren: Hailey and Casey Neal, Zachery, Sarah, Jordan and Mackenzie Holt, Tyler and Lucas Antolik, and Breanna Scales. Visitation was Monday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary. Funeral services were on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Vern Hulen officiating. Burial was at the Valhalla Memory Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard.
Flonnie Frances Holt, 75, A resident of Dothan Alabama died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services were Saturday, March 22, 2003 at the Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tharel Shirah officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. Graveside services were Sunday at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown, KY with H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel directing. Mrs. Holt was born September 19, 1927 in Monticello, KY to Joe and Mary Adair Cape . She resided in Jamestown, KY most of her life prior to moving to Dothan, Alabama in 1991. Mrs. Holt was a homemaker and the widow of Walter Holt who died in 1990. She was a past member of Jamestown Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her children, Mary Jo and her husband, Hal Vargo, Greenwood, IN, Claudia Lynne and her husband, Ronald Cosby, Dothan, AL; and grandchildren, Becky and Curry Fletcher, Dothan, AL and Lori Roy, Wicksburg; and a great grandchild, Zachary Lineberry. Local arrangements were by H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.
Gloria Evelyn Honsaker, 81, Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at the Russell County Hospital. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Jane Reagan Bevard. She is survived by one son, Lloyd W. Hunsaker, and two daughters, Gail Louise Hunsaker and Janie Morgan Loy, all of Russell Springs, KY; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five children, James, Thomas, Timothy, and Donald Hunsaker, and Gloria Jean Wright; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hunsaker; two sisters, Marjorie Bevard and Laura Kostal; two brothers, Charles and Robert Bevard; and two great grandchildren, Allen and Anthony Wright. Funeral services were Friday, August 15, 2003 in the chapel of the Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Kelly Burton, Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Clear Springs Cemetery. Bernard Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
June Hubbard, 71, Jamestown, KY passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at the Russell County Hospital. He was a retired restaurant owner, a member of the Welfare Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was the son of the late Z.W. Hubbard and Mary Reba (Holder) Hubbard. He is survived by his wife, Gladwyn (Wilson) Hubbard, Jamestown, KY; one son, Dale (Calva) Hubbard, Jamestown, KY; two daughters, Jeanne Hubbard and Connie (Larry) Miller, both of Jamestown, KY; one grandson, Brandon Hubbard, Jamestown, KY; one granddaughter, Michelle (Billy) Coe, Russell Springs, KY; and one great-grandson, Lucas Coe, Russell Springs, KY. Funeral services were Friday, January 10, 2003 in the chapel of H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with Bro. Randy Smith and Bro. Tony Stephens officiating. Interment was in the Rexroat Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were: Billy Burdette, Ralph Rexroat, Lyle Cooper, Robert Garner, Jr. Coe, Donald Wilkerson, Franklin Carnes, Almer Richards, Frank Martin, J.G. Stearns and Van Brown. Active Pallbearers were: Terry Robertson, Donald Miller, Barry Hill, Charles Walters, Jason Walters, and Roger Wheat. Joyce Hudson, 65, Jamestown, KY passed away Monday, January 13, 2003 at the Russell County Hospital. She was a Home Interior Displayer. She was the widow of Hubert Hudson and the daughter of the late Elbert Clay and Daisy Garner Burchett. She is survived by two sons, Bobby Hudson, Russell Springs, KY and Brent Hudson, Jamestown, KY; two daughters, Marsha Brower and Kathy Franklin, both of Russell Springs, KY; two brothers, Codell and Glen Burchett, both of Jamestown, KY; one sister, Nadine Rexroat of Jamestown, TN; and 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Darnell and Kermit Burchett. Funeral services were Wednesday, January 15, 2003 in the chapel of H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with Bro. Herl Robertson, Bro. Ronnie Loy and Bro. Johnny Rexroat officiating. Interment was in the Rexroat Cemetery.
