He was a retired farmer and factory worker and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of US Army, a member of American Legion, Member of Russell Springs Masonic Lodge #941 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife Fay Wade, Russell Springs; three sons David (Vicki) Wade, Danny Wade, and John Wade, all of Russell Springs; three grandchildren, Scott Wade, Winter Springs, Florida, Lance Wade, Danielle Wade, both of Russell Springs; three great grandchildren, Ben Wade, Lauren Wade and Landon Wade; one brother James Wade; and two sisters, Hazel Wade, Georgia and Marie Owens, Russell Springs.
Services were held Sunday, October 8, 2000, 1:30 p.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stan Milby officiating.
Burial was in Wilkerson Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harold Jasper, Melvin Withers, Terry Redmon, Jimmy Moran, Eddie McQueary and Reggie Tipton

Thomas Jasper "T.J." Roy, 59, Russell Springs, died Saturday, October 7, 2000 at his residence.
He was born December 20, 1941 in Russell County to the late Ethel A. Foley Roy and the late Herschel Everett Roy.
He was a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife Ann, Russell Springs; one son Timothy, Russell Springs; two grandchildren, Sierra and Kyler Roy, Russell Springs; three brothers, Delno Roy and Killis Roy, both of Russell Springs and James Virgil Roy, Owensboro, Kentucky; and one sister, Deltrice, Roy, Russell Springs.
Services will be held Thursday (today), October 12, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donnie Coffey officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Nora Aaron, 89, Russell Springs, died Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at the Russell County Hospital.
She was born in Russell County, March 16, 1911 to the late Effie Blankenship Ham and the late Robert Ham.
She was a homemaker and a member of Russell Springs Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by two sons William (Bill) Aaron, and James H. Aaron; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, October 10, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating.
Burial was in Russell Springs City Cemetery.

Oliver "Tom" Smith, Jr., 72, Dunnville, Kentucky, died Friday, October 6, 2000 at Russell County Hospital.
He was born in Russell County, January 29, 1928 to the late Effie Stephens Smith and the late Oliver Smith, Sr.
He was retired US Army.
He is survived by his wife Olene Smith, Dunnville, Kentucky; one daughter Carolyn Smith; one step daughter, Glennella Clark, Russell Springs; one step son David Bernard, Russell Springs; three step grandchildren; three brothers, Adron Smith, Russell Springs; B.G. Smith and Harley Smith, both of Dunnville, Kentucky; two half-brothers, J.R. McGowan and John McGowan, both of Russell Springs; and two half-sisters, Artie Mae Sullivan and Gail Wood, both of Russell Springs.
Services were held Monday, October 9, 2000, 2:00 p.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Arthur officiating.
Burial was in Wilkerson Cemetery.

She was born in Russell County December 14, 1921 to the late Cora Lee Bowmer Cooper and the late Edward Finimore Cooper.
She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Patterson.
She is survived by one sister Alma Dutton, Russell Springs; two brothers, Edward (Velma) Cooper and James (Eudora) Cooper, both of Russell springs; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, October 9, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larold Gosser and Bro. Kenneth Hammond officiating.
Burial was Salem Cemetery.

Haskell E. Cleary
Haskell E. Cleary, 66, of Russell Springs, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was a supervisor at Brog-Warner Company.
Born in Savannah, Tenn., he was the son of Lena Wardlow of Paris, Tenn. and Odell Cleary, who preceded him in death.
Surviving along with his mother are his wife, Jo Anne Graczyk Cleary of Russell Springs; two daughters, Sandra Lee Crook of Redesca, Ga. and Cynthia Krage of Savannah, Tenn.; two sons, John Cleary of North Aurora, Ill. and James Cleary of Woodstock, Ga.; one brother, James Cleary of Paris, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Kyle Cleary and Mike Powell.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Nov. 4 in Savannah, Tenn.

Herlon "Sonny" McBeath, 76, Russell Springs, died Sunday, November 5, 2000 at Russell County Hospital.
He was born in Russell County, September 5, 1924 to the late Tina Perkins McBeath and the late Floren McBeath.
He is survived by one brother Eldon McBeath, Russell Springs; and four sisters, Mary Emerson, Eva Wooldridge, Nellie Lawson and Betty Benson, all of Russell Springs.
Services were held Tuesday, November 7, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Hammond officiating.
