Maria Pitarro Pecoraro
Maria Pitarro Pecoraro, 99, a native of Hammond and a resident of the
Patterson Health Care Center, died Friday, Nov. 28.
She is survived by one daughter, Rosemarie Pecoraro Vining and her
husband, Alden, of Morgan City; a daughter-in-law, Rosemarie "Rose"
Pecoraro of Metairie; a son-in-law, Sam Nuccio of Metairie; eight
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottavio Pecoraro; two sons,
Anthony "Tony" Pecoraro and Pasquale "Pat" Pecoraro; and one daughter,
Lena Pecoraro Nuccio.

Walter Louis Himel Sr.
Walter Louis Himel Sr., 70, a resident of Biloxi, Miss., died Saturday
in Biloxi, Miss.
He was a native of Hammond and had been a resident of the coast since
1979. He was the former owner of Himel Auto Parts in North Biloxi and
retired from MGCCC, Perkinston Campus and was the first instructor and
helped develop the automotive sales and management courses. He was a
member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Biloxi Elks Lodge
#606. Mr. Himel served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol J. Himel; parents, Herman
D. and Gladys Himel; one brother, H.D. Himel; and one sister, Cora Mae
Kuykendall.
He is survived by two sons, Walter Louis Himel Jr. and his wife,
Brandie, of Biloxi, Miss., and Scott Dennis Himel of Meridian, Miss.;
two brothers, Ray Himel of New Iberia and Jamie Himel of Morgan City;
three sisters, Marjorie Galloway of Hammond, Dorothy Koen of Memphis,
Tenn., and Patsy Gill of Slidell; two grandchildren, Austin Taylor
Leveloe and Kelsay Carolann Himel, both of Biloxi.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Riemann Memorial
Funeral Home in Biloxi, Miss.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Our
Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi, Miss. Friends may visit from
noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Biloxi National Cemetery.

Franc J. Bourgeois
Franc J. Bourgeois, 81, a native of Verdunville and a resident of
Franklin, died Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Immaculate
Conception Church in Verdunville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial
will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
He is survived by three sons, Frankie Bourgeois of Philadelphia, and
Etienne Bourgeois and Emile Bourgeois, both of Florida; two daughters,
Renee Bourgeois of Minnesota and Joanviair Bourgeois of Philadelphia;
three brothers, Dennis Bourgeois and Freddie Bourgeois, both of
Verdunville, and Lynol Bourgeois of Patterson; three sisters, Lelar
McClendon of Newtonville, N.J., and Ora M. Kemp and Almena Kirt, both
of Verdunville; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers.

Wilma Ann Bush
Wilma Ann Bush, 77, a resident of Bayou Vista, was born Oct. 22, 1926,
and passed away Dec. 1, 2003, at Teche Regional Medical Center in
Morgan City.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and services will
be conducted at 11 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
She is survived by five sons and their spouses, John H. and Cindy Bush
of Patterson, Richard G. and Shelly Bush of Houston, Roy L. Bush of
Bayou Vista, Ray M. Bush of Bayou Vista and Gary T. Bush of Cypress,
Texas; two daughters, Joanne Henry and her husband, Donnie, of Berwick
and Jennifer Protich of Morgan City; eight grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Bush; and her parents,
Herman and Maria Gereka.

H.J. "Jim" Lee Jr.
H.J. "Jim" Lee Jr., 69, passed away Nov. 29, 2003, at his home in
Bayou Vista, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Public visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Hargrave
Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation resumed this morning before
dismissal at 10:30 a.m.
A memorial tribute was held Dec. 1, 2003, prior to Masonic services at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Patterson, conducted by Monsignor Richard Green at 11 a.m. on Dec. 2.
Trusted friends and fellow Masons of Lafayette Lodge 87 were
pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Jim's lifelong loving friends,
Tom Dontay, Sidney Raymond and John Harrison II. Entombment was in the
Morgan City Mausoleum.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Elinor L. Lee. He is
the blessed father of four sons and daughters-in-law: James A. Lee
(spouse, Cathy Premeaux) of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kenneth P. Lee
(spouse, Donna Thibodaux) of Lafayette, Robert F. Lee (spouse, Shawn
Brizzard) of West Palm Beach, Fla., Earl B. Lee (spouse, Lisa Derrick)
of Baton Rouge; and one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Catherine Lee
Stephens (spouse, Dan Stephens) of Bayou Vista.
Jim is an Air Force veteran of the Korean War Conflict. He was a loyal
Mason and current master of Lafayette Lodge 87 in Patterson where he
devoted much time and efforts to the lodge's Dyslexic Clinic for
children in St. Mary Parish.
Jim is also a 32nd degree Mason through the Baton Rouge Consistory and
a member of the Jerusalem Temple which supports the Shriner's Hospital
for crippled and burned children in Louisiana. Jim spent many years as
a salesman in the oil field industry in south Louisiana.
Jim is the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Simon Lee-Briehn of
Morgan City; his father, Herman J. Lee Sr. of St. Petersburg, Fla.;
his brother, Weldon Briehn of Milton, Fla.; and his father- and
mother-in-law, Paul and Catherine Lee of Bayou L'Ourse.
The East St. Mary Funeral Squad honored him with military graveside
services in which their comrade courageously gave of himself in
defense of our great nation, with presentation of the American flag
and a 21-gun salute.

Captain D.O. "Don" Donham Sr.
Captain D.O. "Don" Donham Sr., 86, a native of Lake Village, Ark., and
a resident of Stephensville, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at his
residence.
He was a Christian man who loved his family dearly. He loved the
outdoors and treasured the times he would go fishing and hunting. He
loved boating, which is reflective of his career of being a boat
captain. He loved fixing up "Hilda's House." He will be missed by a
host of friends who knew him as "Don."
He was the son of the late Herman Donham and the late Clara (Howard)
Donham and his stepmother, the late Florence Rusk Donham.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 64 years, Hilda Donham
of Stephensville; three sons, Donnin H. Donham of Morgan City, Dan P.
Donham Sr. and his wife Dell of Thibodaux and Darwin O. Donham Jr. of
Morgan City; five grandchildren, Danny Donham, David Donham, DeeAnn
Donham Bazile, Anna Donham Campbell and Rufflin Donham; and six
great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from
11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at Twin City Funeral Home at 1 p.m.
Wednesday with the Rev. Marty Harden officiating.
Interment will be at Morgan City Cemetery in Morgan City.

Emmanuel J. Touchet
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Vincent Funeral
Home in Kaplan for Emmanuel J. Touchet, 70, who died Tuesday at Teche
Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
He will be laid to rest in Hebert Cemetery in Kaplan.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Rung Touchet of Morgan City; his
son, Michael Touchet of Morgan City; his daughter, Nicole Paxton of
Denver; one sister, Loris Broussard of Kaplan; three grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister and one brother.
Visitation will be observed until 10 p.m. today at Vincent Funeral
Home in Kaplan with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. Thursday until funeral services begin
at 11 a.m.

Roy Andrew Boudreaux Sr.
Roy Andrew Boudreaux Sr., a lifelong resident of Morgan City, born
February 21, 1919, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June
18, 2004.
Mr. Roy spent his working years as a highly skilled mechanic.
He courageously gave of himself in defense of our great nation as an
Army Veteran of World War II.
Roy was known for his athletic ability. In his younger years he was a boxer.
His greatest passion was his family and the selfless devotion to his
wife of 59 years, Lillian Louis Boudreaux.
Visitation was held Sunday, June 20, 2004, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at
Hargrave Funeral Home. Visitation resumed today at 8 a.m.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home.
He was laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Lillian Louis
Boudreaux; son, Roy Boudreaux Jr. of Morgan City; daughter, Anne
Taquino and son-in-law, Weldon, of Cypremort Point; three sisters,
Ester Guarisco and Evelyn Morrison, both of Morgan City, and Hilda
Wiggins of Houston; three grandchildren, Tracie Boudreaux, Darren
Boudreaux, and Brandon Broussard; and three great-grandchildren,
Brittany Norman, Michael Boudreaux and Brandon Todd Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Beatrice Mary Liner
Beatrice Mary Liner, 77, born Dec. 14, 1926, a native of Liner's Canal
and resident of Morgan City, passed away Feb. 1, 2004, at Teche
Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be observed today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hargrave
Funeral Home in Morgan City with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will
resume Tuesday at 8 a.m.
Funeral services Tuesday will begin at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Morgan City. Interment will follow in the Morgan
City Cemetery.
Mrs. Liner was a longtime housekeeper at Lakewood Medical Center, a
member of the AARP St. Mary Chapter and she was a member of Our Lady
Star of the Sea.
She is survived by one son, Frank McGonagill and his wife, Sheli, of
Berwick; five sisters, Gladys Henry of Morgan City, Anne Lott of
Lafayette, Beverly Valdes of New Orleans, Eileen Liner of Avondale and
Wilda Moreau of Bayou Vista; five brothers, Andrew Liner of Franklin,
Jimmy Liner of Patterson, Roy Liner of New Orleans, Karl Liner of
Bayou Vista and Raymond Liner of Franklin.
She also is survived by three grandchildren, Shannon McGonagill, Maddi
McGonagill and Tristan McGonagill; 63 nieces and nephews and her very
close family friend, Debbie Leonard of Bayou Vista.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurthur and Liza Liner; her
husband, Joseph Vidrine; and four brothers, J.C. Liner, Collins Liner,
Golden Liner and James Liner.

George Anthony Rebardie Sr., 92, a resident of Berwick and a native of
Morgan City, born March 31, 1911, passed away Feb. 2, 2004, at his
residence in Berwick.

Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume Wednesday, Feb. 4,
2004 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry "Rumbo" Rebardie and Virginia of Missouri and Harry "Putt"
Rebardie and Lillian of Amelia; two daughters and one son-in-law,
Joyce Ann Rebardie of Berwick and Anna Mae "Tee Dee" Lodrigue and
Rodney of Bayou Vista.
He also is survived by two sisters, Telria "Toe Toe" Lodrigue of
Berwick and Della "Da Da" Driskill of Berwick; and one brother, Ignace
"Enis" Rebardie of Morgan City; 18 grandchildren; 48
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, three sisters, two brothers and
his parents.

Kevin Marks, 32, a native and resident of Four Corners, died Friday at
12:32 a.m. at Iberia General Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at St. John Baptist
Church in Four Corners.

the church cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Bobbie S. Marks of Four Corners; two
daughters, Kevonna Marks and Tandrea Crosby, both of Jeanerette; a
brother, Robert Marks of Baton Rouge; and a sister, Ursula M. Jones of
Four Corners.
He was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Johnny L. Boudreaux
Johnny L. Boudreaux, 79, a native of Baldwin and longtime resident of
Franklin, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Affairs Medical
Center in Alexandria, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Billie Hardee Boudreaux of
Franklin; one daughter, Cheryl B. LaVerne of Franklin; one brother, D.
R. "Pete" Boudreaux of Baldwin; three sisters, Mabel Darce, Amy Landry
and Betty Verret, all of Baldwin; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, his parents and
four brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with a rosary service
at 7 p.m., at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin.
Visitation will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the
Assumption, with a rosary service at 10 a.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the
Church of the Assumption with the Rev. Michael Russo officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Baldwin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to
a charity of choice.
