Mrs. Dillon, a native of Sabine Parish and a resident of Minden, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, in Minden. She was a retired public health nurse.
She is survived by her special friend, Jeannine Miller.

Mrs. Watson, a resident of Doyline, passed away Monday, Jan. 27. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and dedication to family, church and her community. She served as a faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church until her death. She was honored as one of the oldest members of her church. Her meekness and service to her family, church and community will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roosevelt Watson; and daughters, Neva Anderson and Othello Jones.
She is survived by her daughters, Castoria Patterson of Inglewood, Calif., and Levion Gandy of Minden; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family, friends, nephews and grandsons.

Mr. Lewis, a native of Leachville, Ark., and a resident of Minden, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28 in Minden. He worked for Universal Compression, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and June Lewis.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Rupert Lewis; son, Drew Lewis; daughter, Jennifer Sanders; sister, Anna Jo Morgan; granddaughter, Taylor Sanders; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Walker, a native of Gibsland, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, in Minden. He was born Feb. 5, 1916, to Jerry Wilson and Minerva Walker.

Mr. Foster, a native of Gibsland and a resident of Minden, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, in Minden. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Minden and was a past member of Woodman of the World.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Foster; and son, Billy Foster.
He is survived by his sons, Donald Foster and wife Bobbie of Minden, John Foster and wife Linda of Shreveport, and Bobby Foster and wife Sheila of Shreveport; daughters, Betty Ware and husband Ramon of Minden, Sarah Page and husband Roy of Castor and Sandra Foster of Minden; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McKinney, a resident of Yellow Pine, passed away Monday, Jan. 27. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and dedication to family, church and her community. She served as secretary/treasurer for Yellow Pine Christian Church until her death and was honored for 52 years of service as an elections commissioner. Her service to family, friends and community will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene McKinney.
She is survived by her son, William McKinney and wife Mary of Yellow Pine; grandchildren, Bryan McKinney of Yellow Pine, Michael McKinney and wife Jessica of St. Louis, Mo.; of 12 siblings, one sister, Opal Corbin of Minden; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

Rev. Bazer, a native of Carthage and a resident of Doyline, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Christus Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, following a short fight with cancer. He was a member of the Lions Club where he served as district governor and in multiple other offices, the Masonic Lodge, Sons of the Confederate Vets, and Pastfinders Treasure Hunting Club.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was serving as pastor of Evergreen Union Church, Colquitt United Methodist Church and Whitehall United Methodist Church.
He will always be remembered for his quick wit and never-ending sense of humor. He had a passion for his family and the people who called him "Pastor."
He is survived by his parents, the Rev. A.P. Bazer and Eugenia Bradley Bazer of Carthage; his wife, Judith Boyd Bazer; two sons, Robert Bazer and wife Shonda of Monroe, and Matt Bazer of Doyline; two grandchildren, Jessie Bazer and Chapman Bazer; two brothers, Jerry Bazer and wife Martha of Carthage, and Gary Truett Bazer and wife Hope of Keithville; and special friend, Scooter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee and Millie Sikes; and a brother, Clifton S. Sikes.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bertie Sikes of Sibley; son, Leroy Sikes and wife Carolyn of Minden; daughter, Tommie Jean Bourn and husband Clarence of Sibley; sister, Nellie Faye Bryan of Mississippi; grandchildren, Eddie Bourne and wife Andrea, Debbie Jordan and husband Ronald, C.L. Bourn and wife Marla, David Bourn, Duane Sikes and wife Shannon, and Elizabeth Stinson and husband Greg; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Bourn, Duane Sikes, Ronald Jordan, Greg Stinson, Buddy Holcomb and C.L. Bourn.
Nellie Triplet
Graveside services for Mrs. Nellie Adams Triplet, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 13, at Old Athens Cemetery with the Rev. Richard May officiating. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Triplet, a native of Castor and a resident of the Harris Community for 75 years, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, in Minden. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Triplet; son, Derwood Triplet; and grandson, Jerimy Pearson.
She is survived by her daughters Maxine Pierson of Heflin, Betty Ann Pearson and husband Larry of Ashdown, Ark., Barbara Hutchins and husband Jerry of Heflin; daughter-in-law, Mary Triplet of Bossier City; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

James Wiles
Funeral services for Mr. James Thomas Wiles, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 13, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with Dr. Morris Robe officiating. Burial will follow at Bistineau Cemetery.
Mr. Wiles, a native of Grayson and a resident of Minden, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, in Shreveport. He was a retired mechanical engineer for the U.S. government and was past president of the Minden Lions Club. He was also in the U.S. Air Force and received many superior performance awards for the recognition of high quality performance.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Madden Wiles of Minden; step-son, Sherry B. Barnette of Maui, Hawaii; step-daughter, Sandra Lary and husband Tommy of Minden; grandchildren, Lisa Barnette of Maui, Andrea Lary of Shreveport and Hollie Lary Fritz of Shreveport.
Gloria Jenkins

Mrs. Jenkins, a native of Heflin, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, in Minden. She was born July 11, 1942, to Marshall Bailey and Roberta Coleman Bailey.
She is survived by her husband, Elwin Jenkins of Dubberly; mother, Roberta Bailey Mims of Dubberly; two sons, Vondrick Jenkins of Los Angeles, Calif, and Elviun Jenkins of Dubberly; one daughter, Veronica Jenkins of Minden; godson, Dock Odom of Los Angeles; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Charping, a native of Alexandria and a resident of Sibley, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, in Shreveport. She was retired from Moore's Firestone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack G. Charping.
She is survived by her son, Mack Lee Charping Sr. of Sibley; daughters, Catherine Hunt and husband Brent of Minden, Helen Gibson and husband William of Shreveport; sisters, JoAnn French of Beeville, Texas, Betty Cowart of Converse, Texas; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kilroy, a native of Gloster, Miss., and a resident of Minden, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, at I.H.S. of Minden. She was the owner/operator of Brunson Grocery Store and a member of First United Methodist Church of Minden.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wray Allen Brunson and her second husband, Walter Kilroy.
She is survived by her son, James Allen Brunson and wife Jan of Shreveport; daughter, Helen Brunson Gann and husband Rod of Minden; one step-daughter, Diane Westmoreland and husband Tommy of Zachary; two sisters, Hazel Boyd of Bossier City, Jackie Law of Conroe, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Angie Sneed

Mrs. Sneed, a native of Heflin, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, in Shreveport. She was born Jan. 12, 1900.
She is survived by her four sons, Cleveland Moore of Houston, Texas, Clinton Moore of Houston, Douglas Moore of Victorville, Calif., and Robert Moore of Houston; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Lillie Mae Dorch
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae "Honey" Shyne Dorch will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden. Burial will follow at Shephard Street Cemetery in Minden.
Mrs. Dorch passed away Saturday, Dec. 28. She was born April 26, 1915, in Claiborne Parish to the late Ophelia Terrell Shyne and Jim Shyne.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church and after moving to Minden, joined St. Rest Baptist Church. She later joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Minden, where she remained faithful until she became unable to attend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elie Dorch; her parents; and her niece, Mary A. Hill Washington, who she raised as her child.
She is survived by one sister, Viola Shyne Hill; three nieces, Arlillian Penton of Minden, Linda Shyne and Jewellyne Shyne of Houston, Texas; one nephew, Leroy Hill and wife Mary of Minden; and a hot of great-great-great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Mr. McAlister, a native of Haynesville and a lifelong resident of Homer, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, after an accident in Homer. He was a toolpusher for Nabors Drilling Co. for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Kathleen McAlister; and his sister, Vicky Camp.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Miles McAlister of Homer; sister, Cloteal Thomas and husband George of New Braunfels, Texas; brother-in-law, Harry Camp of Haughton; nieces, Becky Schuldt and Georgena Thomas; and nephews, Ernie Camp and Lonnie Allen Thomas.
