Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Poole Barr, 76, of Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, LA, with Rev. William Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at Monroe Memorial Park, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Barr was born March 28, 1929 in LaSalle Parish, LA, and passed away Thursday, April 27, 2005 in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Barr was a graduate of the Bish Mathis Institute in Monroe, LA.
She was a retired Furniture Sales Manager of Standard Office Supply in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Barr was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, and was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Maxwell Barr, her parents, Coy and Corenia Poole of Grayson, LA, and her sister, Von Poole of New Orleans.
Mrs. Barr is survived by her daughter, Dr. Teri O'Neal and husband, Ken O'Neal of West Monroe, LA; and granddaughter, Lauren O'Neal, and many loving cousins and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be: J. C. Watson, Virgil Watson, Matthew Smith, Gary Richardson, Glen Richardson and Scotty Barns.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2005, and 12 noon till time of service Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.

Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home - Winnsboro, LA
Funeral services for Mr. Grady Walter Hood, 83, of Winnsboro, LA, will be held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30, 2005 PM with Rev. Gerald W. Hood and Rev. Wayne Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at a later date in Texas, under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Hood died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Cornerstone Hospital in West Monroe.
He was a resident of Winnsboro, a retired heavy equipment operator, a member of the American Legion, Disabled Veterans, and Victory Apostolic in Winnsboro.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the purple heart and bronze star.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Julius Hood and Jimmy Hood; four sisters: Lorene Lee, Willie Mae Lee, Mildred Smith, and Imogene Sanders.
Survivors include his wife: Estene Russell Hood of Winnsboro, LA; two sons: Gerald Hood of Mt. Vernon, Texas, and Kenneth Hood of Henderson, Texas; brother: W. P. Hood of Austin, Texas; two sisters: Golden Parker of Houston, Texas, and Georgie Romine of Yakima, Wash.
He was also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
The Pallbearers will be Don Smith, Ricky Smith, Walter Lee, Joshua Hood, Jimmy Lachney, and Willard Hutto.
The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2005.

Mrs. Elva (Knotts) Rhymes, age 93, of Dodson, LA, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, LA.
She was the daughter of the late Angus Knotts and the Minnie (Strickland) Knotts.
Mrs. Rhymes was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Lester Rhymes, Sr.
She is survived by her one daughter: Mona (Rhymes) Rudd of Dodson, LA; two sons: Ernest E. Rhymes of Shreveport, LA, T. L. Rhymes, Jr. of West Monroe, LA; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2005 and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday, April 30, 2005.
Funeral services will be held at Southern Funeral Home at 10:00 AM at Saturday, April 30, 2005, with Rev. Oda "Tuck" Roberts officiating.
Interment will be at Gayla-Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro, LA.
Joey Rudd, Tony Rudd, Ron Rhymes, Todd Alexander, Paul Crew, Darris Waren, Lathan Ruth, Josh Barrett, and Jackson Rudd will serve as pallbearers.
