MRS. MARY M. PENNINGTON
Mulhearn Funeral Home - West Monroe, LA
Services for Mrs. Mary M. Pennington, 79, of Mohave Valley, AZ, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2005, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Rick Crandall officiating.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in Needles, CA, under the direction of Carpenter Mortuary.
Mrs. Pennington was born in Bradley, AR, on October 13, 1925.
She was self-employed until her retirement in 1977.
She died on April 28, 2005, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital.
Mrs. Pennington was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Pennington; granddaughter, Mary Theresa Jouwsma; and great-grandson, Dakota Hines; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her son, Jerry W. Boyd and wife, Dianne of West Monroe, LA; daughter, Susan Trickey and husband, Harold of Tulsa, OK; sister, Essie Marhofer of Houston, TX; brother, J. B. Wells of Monticello, AR; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and 12 noon until service time Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers please send memorials to the local Alzheimers Association.
The family of Mary Pennington wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, nurse's aids, and housekeeping staff of the Specialty Hospital at St. Francis, for giving our mother the best care possible.

Famerville, LA - Graveside services for James Modell Norris, 90, will be held Monday, May 2, 2005 at Liberty Hill in Farmerville, Louisiana, at 11:00 AM with visitation at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Larry White, minister with the Church of Christ will be officiating.
Mr. Norris was born April 22, 1915 in Downsville, LA, and died at Lafayette General Medical Center on April 29, 2005.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Fern Brantley Norris, one daughter, Judith Norris Baker and husband, Dr. Larry Baker of Lafayette, LA, one son, James M. Norris, II of Bossier City, LA, three grandchildren, Allyson McEacham Bradshaw and husband, Tripp of Charleston, SC, Lisa Norris Willis and husband, Dave of Atlanta, GA, and James M. Norris, III of Bossier City, LA, two great-grandchildren, Lillie Bradshaw and Max Willis and one sister, Edna Millard of Bakersfield, CA.
Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Wesley Norris, one brother, W. L. Norris, three sisters, Ada Mae Verret, Callie Lolley and Willie Farmer.
A graduate of Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Mr. Norris was a professional Civil Engineer and Registered Land Surveyor.
After retiring from United Gas Pipeline Company, he was a Consultant in Spain for the Spanish government.
He was active for many years in the West Lions Club, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed sports.
