Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy D. Berry, 72, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Everett Geis, Rev. Otis (Shorty) Leggett, and Rev. Woody Rimes officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, La.
Mr. Berry died January 23, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Berry was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
He retired from Louisiana Power and Light as Control Operator.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors: his wife, Mrs. Virginia Russell Berry, daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Gary Peters, son, Tobyn Berry, grandchildren, Brad Peters, Kayln Peters and Cody Allen; sisters, Mrs. Lucille Anderson, Mrs. Dorothy Lambert, and Mrs. Ernie Cline; brother-in-law, Gerry Russell, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Florene Jeanette Bush, 80, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 26, 2005 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA, with Billy Wade officiating.
Mrs. Bush will be laid to rest immediately following the service at the Walnut Grove Cemetery by her beloved husband, J.T.
Mrs. Bush was born April 1, 1924 died peacefully in her home on January 22, 2005.
The daughter of Emma Mae Upton and Thomas Jefferson Mathis, Florene married the late John Thomas Bush (J.T.) on July 12, 1945.
Florene and J.T. were married for 50 years.
Florene was born in West Monroe, Louisiana, and lived in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, during her marriage.
Florene lived her entire married life as a homemaker and did an excellent job of raising five children.
She was a faithful wife, a wonderful neighbor, and a loyal mother and friend.
She enjoyed bowling and visiting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, J.T., passed away in February of 1996.
She had extreme pride in her family and was the mother of Jeanette Louise Havel of Oscoda, Michigan, John Thomas Bush, Jr. of Spokane, Washington, Laurie Susan Rowley of Cleveland, Georgia, James Albert Bush of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Janie Irene Petti of Des Peres, Missouri.
She also was the proud grandmother of fourteen and great-grandmother of nine.
The entire Bush family is forever grateful for the kind attentive care our mother received from Saint Francis Hospice.

Mr. Danna was born on January 11, 1913 in the city of Monroe, LA, to Sam B. and Mary Formosa Danna and he passed away on January 24, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness at the age of 92.
Mr. Danna lived in Homestead, PA, for four years after the family moved from Monroe, and from there, lived a year in Italy.
The father moved them to Indianapolis, for ten years, at which time he married and moved back to Monroe, and went into business with his father, who opened a restaurant and bar on Desiard St.
Mr. Danna was a self-educated man, so he and his wife, Lena of seventy years, were determined that all of their children would receive a college education.
Four of them are now registered pharmacists, and the oldest has a doctorate from the University of Missouri in communications; he now teaches at Loyola University in Chicago, IL.
Mr. Danna was a veteran of World War II, serving in the tank corps in the Philippines.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic church, and he was the owner of Louisville Tavern in Monroe, for 53 years, until his illness brought him to close in 2003.
Mr. Danna was preceded in death by his wife, Lena M. Danna, a sister Roaslie and his parents Sam B. and Mary Danna.
He is survived by his sons, Dr. Sammy Richard Danna of Chicago, IL; Anthony Michael Danna of Monroe, LA; his daughters, Mary Louise Danna of Monroe, LA; Theresa Danna Coco and husband Gary of Lafayette, LA; Betty Danna Gilreath and husband Wayne of Mt. Airy, NC; his grandchildren, David Williams and wife Gayle of Coppell, TX; Gregory Coco of Houston, TX; Norman Coco of Temple, TX; Cpl. Mary Theresa Gilreath, USMC, of San Angelo, TX; Jeremy and Ashley Gilreath of Mt. Airy, NC; his great-grand- children, Seaman Brandi Marie Williams, U.S. Navy, of Oceana, VA; Jessica and Christopher Coco both of Houston, TX.
At the time of Brandi Marie Williams s birth, she was the 5th generation of the Danna family to reside in Monroe.
He is also survived by his two brothers, Anthony and Sam; two sisters, Sr. Maria of Evansville; and Rose Bartlett and husband Kenneth of Little Rock, AR; and their two daughters, Diana and Rosemary.
Mr. Danna is also survived by his special cousins, Jack Teresi of San Jose, CA; Tony Teresi of Stockton, CA; and Lidia Cordone of Sacramento, CA.
Pallbearers will be Scott Helferich, Judge John Joyce, David Williams, Norman Coco, Wayne Gilreath, Gregory Coco, Jeremy Coco, and Anthony Michael Danna.

Cleo Henry James was born Cleo Marguerite Gentry on April 22, 1917, in Winn Parish, Louisiana, and died in Monroe, Louisiana, on Monday, January 24, 2005.
Services will be held at Parkview Baptist Church on Forsythe Avenue in Monroe, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2005, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, Louisiana, with Dr. Whit Holmes and Rev. Terry Barnes officiating.
Interment will follow in the Columbia Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia, Louisiana.
Visitation is Tuesday evening, January 25, 2005, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane, Monroe, Louisiana, and Wednesday, January 26, 2005, from 1:00 PM until service at Parkview Baptist Church.
Mrs. James graduated from Ouachita Parish High School, after which she attended Northeast Junior College in Monroe, Louisiana.
She married Sam O. Henry, Jr., in 1935, and established a home in Caldwell Parish, where she lived until she moved to Monroe, in the early 1990's.
Several years after the death of her first husband, she married J. Clyde James, who predeceased her in 1986.
Mrs. James was a business woman and was the owner and operator of the Ritz Theater and thereafter, the owner and proprietor of Henry's Furniture and Gifts, both in Columbia, Louisiana.
She was a member of the Daughters of Confederacy, Bayou DeSiard Country Club, Monroe Garden Club, Monroe Book Club, English Speaking Union, First Baptist Church of Columbia, Louisiana, and thereafter Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana, and Friends Sunday School Class.
She was also a member of several bridge clubs and actively played until a few weeks prior to her death.
Survivors include two children of the first marriage, namely, Sam O. Henry, III, and his wife, Shearon, of West Monroe, Louisiana, and Gwen Henry Hardy of Monroe, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Sam O. Henry, IV, and his wife, Amanda, of West Monroe, Pamela Henry Brawner and her husband, Jeff, of Dallas, Texas, Karen Henry Clarke and her husband, Dan, of Dallas, Texas, and Michael R. Henry, of Monroe, William Joseph Hardy, Jr., and his wife, Catherine, of Monroe, Kendra Hardy France and her husband, Kyle, of Covington, Louisiana, Christa Hardy Swiger and her husband, Johnny, of Mandeville, Louisiana; twelve great-grandchildren, Anna Katherine France, Mary Martin France, William (Will) J. Hardy, III, Sarah Elizabeth Swiger, Mary Grace Swiger, Katherine Shearon Brawner, Sarah Anne Brawner, Margaret Beauchamp Brawner, Ainsley Marguerite Clarke, Caroline Ashford Clarke, Elizabeth Gentry Clarke and Cayden Michael Henry; and one brother, Andrew J. Gentry; a host of friends, and especially her friend, Betty B. Jackson.

Mrs. James touched many lives over the years, whose lives will forever be enhanced.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Cuma Erskine Gentry, a brother, Dalton Gentry, and three sisters, Inez Gentry Eaves, Ruth Gentry Guillory and Louise Gentry Miller, and son-in-law, William J. Hardy.

On Sunday, January 23, 2005, God called his faithful servant, James Cleon "Humpy" LaBorde home at the age 82.
He was born on January 29, 1922, the youngest child of Enos and Della LaBorde of Swampers community near Crowville, LA.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Fish Bayou Baptist Church under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Presiding over the services will be the Reverends John Parker, Kelly Clark, and Jerry Chapman.
Internment will follow at Harris Cemetery.
A veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy, he was employed by ASCS office for 25 years and was also a farmer.
As a loyal member of Fish Bayou Baptist Church for 53 years, he served the Lord faithfully in many offices including Sunday School teacher and director.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Odean Weaver LaBorde, sons Dale and wife and wife Linda, James E. and wife Judy, and Freddy LaBorde all of Winnsboro; daughters, Patsy White and husband Dale of West Monroe, Janie Williams and husband Ken of Dripping Springs, TX, Kay Casiday and husband Lynn and also a special family friend Evelyn LaBorde Carroll all of Winnsboro.
He was Papaw to nine grandchildren: Jeremy LaBorde and wife Tammy, Brad White and wife Sharon, Scott LaBorde and wife Tina, Lance White and wife Amanda, Sharon LaBorde Boothe and husband Alex, Sean Williams, Joel Casiday, Stephanie Williams, and Jarred Casiday.
He was also the great-grandfather to Haley, Micah, and Zoe LaBorde, Gregory and Molly LaBorde, and Ava Boothe.
Pallbearers will be Edward Spell, Tim Ulmer, John L. Scott, Royce Bryan, Buddy Jennings, and Bro. Williams.

Mr. Breathen Thomas, 85, of Sterlington, LA, was born February 25, 1919, in Union Parish, LA, to Will and Mae Thomas and passed away on Monday, January 24, 2005, in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Survivors include his two daughters: Brenda Franklin and her husband Terry, of Baton Rouge, LA, Vikki Miller and her husband Jim, of Sterlington, LA; seven grandchildren: Thomas Gardner, Jamie Madril, Dee Fisher, John Miller, Renae Drago, Ronnie Franklin, and Donnie Franklin; one nephew Danny Thomas and his friend Kim; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Pop, as he was known, served in combat during World War II, participating in the Battle of the Bulge, as a member of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles.
He was retired from Texas Gas as a machinist.
As per his wishes, no formal service is planned.
He loved animals and in lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Ouachita Humane Society or any animal shelter.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the care he received at Monroe War Veteran's Home, Rev. Charlie Hood, his instructors for his classes, and especially to thank Dr. Art Yarborough for the special care he always gave.
