Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine O. Shaw, 83, of Monroe, LA, will be Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Highland Park Baptist Church in Monroe.
Officiating will be Rev. Michael McLaurin.
Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe.
Mrs. Shaw was born on February 25, 1921 and passed away on January 24, 2005.
Mrs. Shaw was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where she received her degree in Home Economics Education.
She was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher at Highland Baptist Church in Monroe, and was formerly employed by J.C. Penney.
Mrs. Shaw was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Archie Shaw.
Mrs. Shaw is survived by her husband, Nacy Alex Shaw, Jr.; two children: Nancy Baker and husband, Butch; Danny Shaw and wife, Susan; grandchildren: Alexa Labro, James Shaw, Jesse Shaw, Robert Andrew Shaw, and Alex Shaw; great-grandchildren: Tabitha Labro and Cody Labro; three sisters; Nell McManus, Frances Norris, and Martha Reed; brother: Paul Ouzts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Highland Park Baptist Church or to the American Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM Wednesday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, and from 1:00 PM till time of service Thursday at the church.

On Sunday, January 23, 2005, God called his faithful servant, James Cleon "Humpy" LaBorde home at the age 82.
He was born on January 29, 1922, the youngest child of Enos and Della LaBorde of Swampers community near Crowville, LA.
Services were held Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Fish Bayou Baptist Church under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Presiding over the services will be the Reverends John Parker, Kelly Clark, and Jerry Chapman.
Internment will follow at Harris Cemetery.
A veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy, he was employed by ASCS office for 25 years and was also a farmer.
As a loyal member of Fish Bayou Baptist Church for 53 years, he served the Lord faithfully in many offices including Sunday School teacher and director.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Odean Weaver LaBorde, sons Dale and wife and Linda, James E. and wife Judy, and Freddy LaBorde, all of Winnsboro; daughters Patsy White and husband Dale of West Monroe, Janie Williams and husband Ken of Dripping Springs, TX, Kay Casiday and husband Lynn and also a special family friend, Evelyn LaBorde Carroll, all of Winnsboro.
He was "Papaw" to nine grandchildren: Jeremy LaBorde and wife Tammy, Brad White and wife Sharon, Scott LaBorde and wife Tina, Lance White and wife Amanda, Sharon LaBorde Boothe and husband Alex, Sean Williams, Joel Casiday, Stephanie Williams, and Jarred Casiday.
He was also the great-grandfather to Haley, Micah, and Zoe LaBorde, Gregory and Molly LaBorde, and Ava Boothe.
Pallbearers will be Edward Spell, Tim Ulmer, John L. Scott, Royce Bryan, Buddy Jennings, and Bro. Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie LaBorde, Tom Lochbrunner, Ray Ulmer, Jimmy Hoover, Jerry Sutherland, and W.L. Robbins.
Visitation for friends was held at the Fish Bayou Baptist on Monday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and until services begin on Tuesday.

Mr. Lockwood was born February 26, 1923 in Farmerville, LA, and died January 24, 2005 in Calhoun, LA.
Mr. Lockwood was a self-employed mechanic for thirty years.
He was an accomplished bream fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Lockwood; sons: Charlie Lockwood and wife Sandy; Jerry Lockwood and wife Melody; daughters: Sandy Varner and husband Harold; Sue Haynes and husband John; Jean Temple and husband Steven; sister: Willie Hattaway; daughter-in-law: Carol Lockwood; sister-in-law: Rochelle Warrum and husband Jack; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

He was a resident of Monroe, retired as a circuit board maker for the NASA program with North American Rockwell, a veteran of WWII, and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
A wonderful father and grandpa who will be missed dearly by all of his family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife, Doris Marquis, his parents, Ludger and Eva Marquis and his great-grandson Derik Beall. Survivors include his daughter: Lera Roark and her husband Ron of Rocky Branch, LA; son: Timothy Marquis and his wife Jane of Big Pine Key, FL; granddaughter: Lera Bell and her husband Kenny; two grandsons: Tony Marquis and wife Shana, Paul Marquis and wife Terri; three great-grandsons: Toby Trichell and wife Mandy, Erik Beall and wife Monica, John Paul Marquis; three great-granddaughters: Amanda Beall, Malissa Beall, and Kera Marquis; two great-grandsons: Tyler Trischell and Zane Beall; one great-grandmother: Kady Trichell.
