BRENDA HALL ABNEY
Hixson Brothers Funeral Home - Alexandria, Louisiana

Funeral services for Brenda Hall Abney, R.N., age 40, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 30, 2005, at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. David Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Alexandria, and from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, 5011 Jackson St., Alexandria, LA.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Irene Hall and her sister, Lawanna Lowery.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Pat to whom she had been married sixteen years; her daughters, Erin (12), Beth (9), and Anna (4); her father, James B. Hall; her sisters, Melba Sykes and Lori Iles; her brothers, James Hall, William Hall, and Grady Hall; thirteen nieces and nephews; and numerous friends and col leagues.
Born January 22, 1965, in Monroe, Brenda grew up in the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, graduated from Louisiana College with a B.S. in Nursing, received her R.N. in 1988, and was subsequently certified as an RNC in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, working at Rapides Regional Women's and Children's Hospital.
Brenda was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, teaching a sixth grade GA class, and was vigorously involved with the school and extracurricular activities of her three young daughters.
Pallbearers will be James Hall, William Hall, Grady Hall, Patrick Searcy, Richard Iles and Monte Eddlemon.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan Martin and Dr. Martin Tanner.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an education account for Brenda's beloved daughters at Red River Bank: The Erin, Beth, and Anna Abney Education Account.

MR. JOHN EDWIN BLAZIER
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - West Monroe, Louisiana

Graveside services for Mr. John Edwin Blazier, age 68, of West Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Hasley Cemetery.
Officiating will be Bro. Tommy Rogers under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Blazier was born October 29, 1936 in Monroe, LA, and passed away January 27, 2005 in West Monroe, LA, with his family by his side.
Mr. Blazier was a member of the original West Monroe Rebels Football Team and continued to be an avid fan.
He also proudly served in the United States Marine.
Mr. Blazier had a special love for animals and anyone who met him, knew of his big heart.
He was preceded in death by parents, John Frank Blazier and Willie Ruth Stokes and his foster child, Charles William Stansel, Jr.
Mr. Blazier is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Nina Lee Blazier and two sons, John Frank and wife, Deborah of Columbia, LA, and James Edwin and wife, Terri of Conway, AR; daughters: Tammy Robert and long-time companion Ann Stuckey of West Monroe, Linda Shelburne of West Monroe; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Palmer, John W. Blazier, Michael Shelburne, James Blazier, Jr., John Shelburne, and David Shelburne.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM un til 12:00 Noon at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
The family would like to say a special "thank you" to Ann Stuckey for all that she has done for our father during his illness.
A special "thank you" also to the wonderful staff who grew to love him at West Monroe Guest House.

RONALD LEROY DOUGHTY, JR.

Services for Mr. Ronald LeRoy Doughty, Jr., age 64, will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 30, 2005, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Ruston, LA.
Mr. Doughty, founder of Ron Doughty Advertising Associates in Monroe, died Thursday, January 27, 2005, in Seabrook, Texas.
A member of Pi Kappa Alpha, he attended McNeese State University on a football scholarship and graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Fine Arts.
He was a Merchant Marine and an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his daughters, Brooks Doughty Walton and husband Terry, Ronda Doughty Long, and Ashley Doughty Thomas and husband Tyler; grandchildren, Venice, Lily, Molly, Grace, and Amelia Joy; brother, Michael Doughty and wife Patti; and former wife and longtime friend, Penny Brooks Doughty.
Pallbearers will be Ken Booth, Jarvis Thomas, J.D. Greco, Eric Mahaffey, Richard Fontana and Morris Funderburg.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 4 PM, Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

MARION E. "DICK" FULLER
Cox Funeral Homes - Delhi, Louisiana

Funeral services for Marion E. "Dick" Fuller of Delhi will be held Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Dunn Baptist Church.
Officiating will be Rev. Bernard Duchesne, Jr. and Rev. Terry Ganey.
Interment will be at Epps Cemetery, Epps, LA, immediately following the service, under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
"Dick", as he was better known, was a WWII veteran and a retired employee of the State of LA DOTD.
He was a loyal member of Dunn Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for almost fifty years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marion Delton Fuller, his mother, Molly Ophelia Fuller, one brother, Albert Fuller and one sister Luella Upshaw.
He is survived by Ruth, his wife of fifty-nine years; one son, Rev. Eddie Fuller and wife, Renee of Dunn, LA; one daughter, Jan Folds and husband, Don of Mustang, OK; five grandchildren: Jonathan, Lane and David Folds and Amanda and Britney Fuller; three brothers: Gene and Tom Fuller of Old Floyd, Prentice Fuller of Colfax, and one sister, Clara Chelette of Alexandria.
Pallbearers will be Troy Thomas, Jim Nichols, Paul Wells, David Ford, Button Cooper, Woodie Williams, Wade Neathery and Wayne Edwards.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Grandon, Luther Weems, Otho Nielson, Buddy Campbell, and Melvin Green.
A special thanks to Dr. Paul Grandon, Delhi Home Health and Patient's Choice hospice.

ROGER WAYNE SHELTON

Funeral services for Roger Wayne Shelton, age 44, of Epps, LA, were held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Epps Baptist Church, Epps, LA, with Rev. Lee Piercy and Kenny Duchesne officiating.
Interment was held in Epps Cemetery, Epps, LA, under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Delhi, LA.
Mr. Shelton was born June 29, 1960 and passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Shelton, Epps, LA; daughters: Angela Nicole Shelton Mitchell, Oak Grove, LA, Katheryn Shelton, Epps, LA, Caty Moore, Epps, LA; parents: Robert A. Shelton, and Ruth A. Shelton of Many, LA; brothers: Robert Shelton, Mansfield, LA, Marty Shelton, Forest, LA; sisters: Beverly J. Lockwood, Lawrence, Kansas, and Valerie Dunn, Many, LA.
Pallbearers were Sheldon Baker, Lloyd Rogan, Jerry Ratcliff, Robert Watkins, Mitchell Boyte, and John Paul Johnston.
Honorary Pallbearers were Eddie Newell, and Jeff Moody.

MRS. CORDELIA WARREN SIMMONS
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - Monroe, Louisiana

Funeral services for Mrs. Cordelia Warren Simmons will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Monroe Memorial Park in the Mausoleum.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM until service time in the Mausoleum.
Officiating will be Rev. Doug Allen under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Simmons passed away on January 27, 2005 in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her mother, Mae W. Redden and her father, Henry Warren.
She was also preceded by a loving brother, Clarence Edward Warren.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Mr. John B. Simmons, Jr.; her daughter, Dian Simmons Ritter and husband, A.J.; her granddaughter, Alyson Ritter Perryman and husband, Tommy; her grandson, Allen J. Ritter, III; her two sisters, Doris W. Madenfort and Jean W. Golden; her nephew, Kim Crow and wife, Marcelle; her great-grandson, Thomas Allen Perryman; two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Mrs. Simmons was born August 31, 1924.
She was a life-long resident of Monroe, and a member of College Place Baptist Church for fifty-five years.
The family would like to especially thank the staff of Christus St. Joseph Assisted Living and Nursing Home for the wonderful care their loved one received.

T. O. "BUCK" TULLOS
Riser Funeral Home - Olla, Louisiana

Servces for T.O. "Buck" Tullos, age 91, of Olla will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2005 from the First Baptist Church in Olla with Rev. Woody Rimes and Rev. Milton Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery.
Mr. Tullos was born on September 3, 1913 in Tullos, to the union of Louis and Docia McVay Tullos and died Friday, January 28, 2005 at his residence.
He was a retired oilfield mechanic and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army during five major campaigns.
He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Olla, and served on the Olla Town Council for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Louise May Tullos of Olla, his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Buddy Page of Columbia; his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Rebecca Tullos of Jonesboro; his grandchildren: Carla Page Jacobson and her husband, Denious of Columbia, Christy Tullos Mayo of Alexandria, Scott Page and his wife, Tina of Columbia, Travis Tullos and his wife, Julie of Jonesboro, and John Tullos of Jonesboro; ten great-grandchildren; his brother, Lacy Tullos and his wife, Dot of Cotton Valley, LA.
Pallbearers will be Scott Page, Travis Tullos, John Tullos, Terry Ranton, Denious Jacobson and Mike McCartney.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ronald Cruse, Mac Barksdale, Dr. K.P. Mauterer and Ricky Ranton.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM until noon at Riser Funeral Home, Hwy. 165, Olla, and from 1:00 PM until time of services at First Baptist Church, Olla.

Miya Banks, 8

TALLULAH Miya Banks, a student at Wright Elementary School, died Jan. 29.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday at McCall Senior High School, Tallulah.
Visitation is noon until 5 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Funerals by McFarland, Tallulah.
Burial is at New Oakwood Cemetery, Fortune Fork.
