Mulhearn Funeral Home Kilpatrick Funeral Home - Rayville, LA

Funeral services for Jean Ford Mulhern, age 86, of Clear Lake, LA, will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Rayville, LA, with Rev. Robert Townsend officiating.
Burial will be in the Alto Cemetery under the directions of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, LA.
Mrs. Mulhern was born on January 28, 1919 in Monroe, and died January 28, 2005 in Shreveport.
She was a graduate of Neville High School, attended La. Tech, she worked for E.A. Conway, and retired from NLU.
Survivors include her two daughters: Caron Bragg and Ruby M. Stewart both of Shreveport, LA; three grandchildren: Alan Gross, Laura G. Cairns, and Allison G. Gibbs, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Tuesday till service time Tuesday.

CHRISTINE TAYLOR WADE
Farmerville, LA

Funeral Services for Mrs. Christine Taylor Wade, 86, of Farmerville, LA will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Culbertson Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA.
Rev. Scott Jennings and Rev. Jimmy Eppinette will officiate.
Interment will follow at Culbertson Cemetery in Farmerville, LA.
Mrs. Wade was 86 years old.
She was born February 4, 1918 in Harleton, Texas, to Con Wallace Taylor and Maggie Oney Taylor.
She passed away January 30, 2005, in Farmerville, LA.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Fred M. "Bo" Wade, her parents, Con Wallace Taylor and Maggie Oney Taylor, Sisters Eva Taylor and Miriam Taylor Jones and a brother Homer Taylor.
Mrs. Wade is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Fred "Mack" Wade, III and Kay; a daughter and son-in-law: Shelia Ann Wade Williams and Johnny a daughter: Julie Eileen Wade all of Farmerville, LA; sister: Helen Taylor Kale of Harleton, Texas: seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved to cook, garden and sew.
She helped run Wade's Grocery for over 20 years along beside her best friend Thelma Williamson.
She would look for excuses to cook for family and friends.
She was a member of Culbertson Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Tommy Williams, Timmy Williams, Joey Wade, Kevin Wade, James Norwood and Roberto Martinez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Paul Hartwick, Steven Wade, Danny Frasier, Lucien Savage, Larry Savage, Stacy Savage, Jimmy Leggett, Anthony Yakaboski, Joe Cusimano, Kenny Bowen and Tommy Lupo.
The family will receive friends, Monday, January 31, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

AARON "JAKE" RAMSEY
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - Farmerville, LA

Funeral Services for Mr. Aaron "Jake" Ramsey, 79, of Farmerville, LA, will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2005, at Liberty Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA.
Revs. Dale Jordan and Elmer Von Herren will officiate.
Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Spearsville, LA.
Mr. Ramsey was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Jake was a kind, compassionate and loving man.
He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Jake was a true friend to all.
He will be greatly missed and in our hearts for ever.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serv ing in WWII.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Ramsey.
Mr. Ramsey is survived by his wife: Louise Futch Ramsey of Spearsville, LA; a son: Elvis Ramsey of West Monroe, LA; two sisters: Lois Trichell of Calhoun, LA, and Joyce Allen of West Monroe, LA; five step-children; twelve step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Franklin Beaird, Clay Moses, Danny Moses, Edward Holley, Ken Scharf and Johnny Ray Allen.
The family will receive friends, Monday, January 31, 2005 from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.

AGNES SMITH RUSSELL

Agnes Smith Russell was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana on June 8, 1923.
She left this world on January 28, 2005 following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Russell was a graduate of Winnsboro High School and Northwestern State University, where she obtained a degree in Elementary Education.
On January 23, 1943 she married R.G. "Bo" Russell, Jr.
While Mrs. Russell was attending Louisiana Tech University, Mrs. Russell served as the school secretary at A. E. Phillips Lab School.
Mrs. Russell later taught elementary school for 30 plus years.
Mrs. Russell lived with her family in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she was a member of many school and civic organizations which included Phi Del ta Kappa.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Lake Charles, LA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, R. G. "Bo" Russell, Jr. and a son, William David Russell.
Also, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Smith; a sister, Mary Pearl Thurman; and her brothers, W. M. Smith and W. H. Smith
Her survivors include her daughter, Paula Russell of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her son: Skip Russell and wife Carolyn of Ruston, LA; grandchildren: M'Lee Russell, Mandy Brown and husband Nick, Will Russell, Matt Russell and wife Suzanne, Missy Russell, and Beau Russell all of Ruston, LA; great-grandchildren: Emma White and Baylee Brown of Ruston, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.
Services will be held at the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Dr. John White of the First Baptist Church, Lake Charles, LA, officiating.
Burial will be in the Pines Memorial Gardens in Ruston.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 31, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Murray Smith, 74, of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Sterlington Assembly of God Church with Bro. R. L. Dison and Bro. Jess McLain officiating.
Interment will be at Monroe Memorial Park, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe.
Mrs. Smith was born June 7, 1930 in Summerfield, LA, and died January 30, 2005 in Sterlington, LA.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Sterlington Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her son Dwain Smith.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband Vernon Smith of Sterlington, her children; Bobby Smith of West Monroe, LA, Davy Smith of Sulpher, LA, Reta Wooten of Carthage, MS, Peggy Dixon of Sterlington, LA, Eddy Smith of Gonzales, LA, sister; Nan Waller of Summertown, TN, brother; Dewel Murray of Summerfield, LA, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Brown, Cory Smith, Jerry Dieter, John Williams, Vic Williams, Russell Dixon, Brian Dixon and Mark Wooten.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs. Smith's classmates from Summerfield High School.
Memorials may be made to Sterlington Assembly of God Building Fund.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Tammy, Leigh, Misty and the rest of the staff of Northeast Regional Hospice, as well as Mrs. Gayle Porter, for their care of Mrs. Smith during her illness.
Visitation will be held 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, and 1:00 PM until service time Tuesday at Sterlington Assembly of God Church.

Polly Breed, 85

Polly Breed of West Monroe, a homemaker, died Friday.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Monroe.
Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery, Ruston, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Visitation is from noon until time of service at the church.
