CHARLES HAROLD ALLEN
Edmonds Funeral Home - Jonesboro, LA

Longtime Jonesboro businessman and civic leader, Charles Harold Allen died February 8, 2005.
Former President and Board Chair of the Jonesboro State Bank, he was well-known for his commitment to Jackson Parish educational institutions and community development.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, with Reverends Stuart Sherman, David Dietzel, and Franz Graef officiating.
Mr. Allen served as a member of the Jonesboro Town Council and was a multiterm member of the Jackson Parish School Board, including a term as President.
He was a lifelong member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Jonesboro-Hodge Kiwanis Club and a member of the Jackson Economic Development Corporation (JEDCO).
A strong supporter and contributor to school-related organizations and activities, he was perhaps best known for his lifelong devotion to the JH Tiger sports teams.
He never tired of discussing football games and the numerous players who hit the Caldwell-Peacock stadium gridiron over the years.
Mr. Allen was born in Jonesboro, June 16, 1924, to the late Isum Josiah "Mr. Joe" Allen and Elizabeth Jeffress "Miss Lizzie" Allen. He graduated from Jonesboro Hodge High School and Soule' Business College in New Orleans.
He served his country in the Pacific Theater during World War II as a member of the United States Navy and the Marine Corps.
He is survived by his children, Christie Weeks and husband Bill of Jonesboro; C.H. "Chuck" Allen, Jr. and wife Kathy of Hodge, Donald J. Allen and wife Sandy of Ruston, and Richard S. Allen and wife Laura of Auburn, Alabama; sixteen grandchildren were a particular joy: Stephen Weeks and wife Suzanne, Paul Weeks, Carrell Weeks, Grayson Allen, Kyle Allen, Andrew Weeks, Natalee Allen, Thurston Allen, Katie Weeks, K.C. Allen, Winston Allen, Madalyn Allen, Justin Allen, Kramer Allen, Anslee Allen, and Christian Allen; two sisters, Helen Allen Earle of Jonesboro, and Dorothy Jo Allen of El Paso, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Martiel Allen Michaud and Pauline Allen Littlefield and granddaughter, Kayla Allen.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

My daughters and grandchildren have planned a farewell celebration in remembrance of my life (101 years).
The jubilant celebration will be conducted at the Alice Mae Miller Chapel of Miller's Funeral Home, 2932 Renwick Street on Wednesday, the 9th day of February, 2005 at 11:00 AM.
You may visit the chapel for a final glimpse one hour prior to the celebration I will be there resting.

Funeral Services for Mr. Kenneth Allen "Kenny" Tucker, 51, of Farmerville, LA, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2005, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, LA.
Rev. Woody Reeder will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Farmerville, LA.
Mr. Tucker passed away Monday, February 7, 2005 in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carolyn Tucker of Farmerville, LA; daughters: Amanda Tucker of Farmerville, LA, attending school in Baton Rouge, LA, and Michelle Mauro and husband Anthony of Farmerville, LA; a grandson: Christian Allen Mauro of Farmerville, LA; mother: Betty Tucker of Farmerville, LA; sister: Rhonda Tucker of Farmerville, LA; brother: Jef Tucker of Farmerville, LA, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a member of D'Arbonne Country Club and the Horse Association.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wade Tucker, a brother Rusty Tucker, his grandparents and maternal grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Jack Parks, Robert Parks, Mike Posey, Randy Smith, Howard Parks and Bobby Joe Parks.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Perry Clark, Greg Stewart, Billy Parks, and Billy Tucker.
The family will receive friends, Friday, February 11, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

Mulhearn Funeral Home - West Monroe, Louisiana

Graveside Services for Mr. J. D. Rayborn, 88, of Monterey, LA, will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Campground Cemetery in Hampton, Arkansas, with Rev. Skip Shanley officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Rayborn died on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center.
He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He was a member of the Vidalia Methodist Church.
He is survived by his two children, John D. Rayborn, Jr. and Jean R. Collins, five grandchildren, Jack Rayborn, Mike Rayborn, Janice Honeycut, Chip Collins, and Susan Domangue, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister, Edna Regan, and two nephews, John Regan and George Regan.

John Alvin Boldes, 50

John Alvin Boldes of Monroe, a cook, died Thursday.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Funerals by McFarland, Monroe.
Burial is in the Powell Street City Cemetery, Monroe.
Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
