Funeral services for Ms. Doris Jarvis Bell, 84, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2005 at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in West Monroe, LA, with Dr. James Parker officiating.
Burial will be in Hasley Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Ms. Bell died February 12, 2005 at the Oaks Nursing Home.
Ms. Bell was a member of the First Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James "Dick" Bell; son, Paul Randall Bell; four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Bell and wife Cheryl and Glenn Bell and wife Carolyn; daughters, Marsha Powell and husband Ron; sister, Obeline Ragsdale; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon's International.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Lafayette Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2005, at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension for G. Ray Cox, 78, who passed away Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, the former Clayton Nelson, and by his only child, Carol Patton.
Mrs. Patton and her husband, Michael Patton, are the parents of Brian, Rebecca and Ellen Patton of Austin, Texas; and Capt. Matthew Patton of Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan.
Also surviving are two sisters, June Cox and Mabel Devereux of Monroe; one brother, H.L. Collins of Covington; and a granddaughter-in-law: Jeannie Patton, wife of Brian Patton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel and Benona Cox of Monroe.
Born in Farmerville, Mr. Cox grew up in Monroe, where he graduated from Ouachita Parish High School.
He also graduated from LSU and the LSU Law School and was admitted to the State Bars of both Louisiana and Texas.

Funeral services for Joshua Lee Murphy, 18, of Downsville, LA, will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2005, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. George Bonner officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Ararat Cemetery, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Joshua was born January 2, 1987, in West Monroe, LA, and passed away February 11, 2005, in Downsville, LA.
Joshua was a senior at Downsville High School.
He was proud member of the National Guard, and was planning to pursue his dreams, a career in Satellite Communications.
Joshua was preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Murphy and grandfather, Richard Lee Stepp.
Survivors include his mother, Dawn Murphy; his stepfather, Roy Littleton; grandparents, Harold Wayne and Kathleen Murphy; his half-brother, Corbin Tyler Murphy; an aunt, Jennifer Murphy Robert and her husband, William; cousins, Shelby, Hayden, and Victoria Robert; and numerous friends at Downsville High School and West Ouachita High School.
Visitation for Joshua Lee Murphy will be Sunday evening, February 13, 2005, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Joshua's smile and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
