Funeral services for Mr. Charles Michael Anders, 55, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Roy Telano officiating.
Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mr. Anders was born April 28, 1949, in Bastrop, LA, and died February 13, 2005, in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Anders was a member of Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church and was the former manager of the Friar Tuck Fried Chicken Restaurant.
Mr. Anders was a resident of St. Joseph's Nursing Home for the past year and a half.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Marion and Dovie Anders, and his brother, LeRoy Anders.
Survivors include his wife: Rita Anders; his children: Chris Anders and wife Joy, Amanda Anders, and Wendi Anders George and husband Calvin; a grandchild: Christopher Michael Anders, Jr.; four brothers: James Anders and wife, Shirley, LaRonnie Anders and wife, Mary, William "Bill" Anders and wife, Margie, and Barry Anders and wife, Diane; a sister: Rose Mary Watts and her husband, Jessie; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.

MR. CHRIS E. BOWMAN
Mulhearn Funeral Home - West Monroe

Funeral services for Mr. Chris E. Bowman, 48, of West Monroe, LA, will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at McGuire United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michi Head presiding with the assistance of Rev. Marcus Akers.
Burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Bowman passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Bowman, grandparents, Sam and Ora Antley and Edith and Ed Bowman, all from West Monroe.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jan Bowman, daughter, Christie Bowman, mother, Grace White and her husband James, sister, Carol Causey, brother, Gary Bowman and his wife, Trudy, a niece, Diana Causey and nephews, Rick Causey and Josh Bowman, mother-in-law, Lourine Baff, brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Jackie Baff; and brother-in-law, Jerry Baff.
Born in Monroe, Mr. Bowman grew up in West Monroe, where he graduated from West Monroe High School and attended Louisiana Tech University and University of Louisiana at Monroe.
He was an avid West Monroe Rebel fan and member of the WM Rebel Club.
He was very active in McGuire United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the David Cummings Sunday School Class and served as Chairman and Co-Chairman of the Building Committee, Board of Trustees, and Administrative Board.
He was a licensed Real Estate Appraiser and was employed at Faulk and Foster Real Estate as Vice-President of Business Development.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Baff, Victor Baff, Wiley Ezell, David Gullette, Bill Heard, Ray Hebert, Chip Jones, Billy McKie, Larry Prather, and Ronnie Savage.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the David Cummings Sunday School Class, McGuire United Methodist Church Board of Trustees and Building Committee and all employees of Faulk and Foster Real Estate.
Over the last 10 years, Mr. Chris Bowman and his family were surrounded by love, prayers, and support from their families, church, coworkers, community, and friends from around the world.
Heartfelt thanks to all the medical professionals and teams who treated Mr. Bowman throughout his illness, particularly Dr. Coy Gammage and staff, Dr Rigdon Lentz and staff in Mainz, Germany, Dr. Anil Nanda and staff LSU Medical Center Shreveport, Dr. Kerry Anders and staff, and Glenwood Home Health staff.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2005 under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the McGuire United Methodist Building Fund and David Cummings Musical Fund.

BILLIE BRYAN

Funeral Services for Mrs. Billie Bryan, 90, of Farmerville, LA, will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 14, 2005, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, LA.
Rev. Donald Reeves and Rev. Roger Johnson will officiate.
Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery near Farmerville, LA.
Mrs. Bryan was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
She was born on April 10, 1914, in Waxahachie, TX.
She passed away February 13, 2005, in Farmerville, LA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Bryan.
Mrs. Bryan is survived by one daughter: Ann Crowder of West Monroe, LA; three sons: Dan Bryan and wife, Judy of Spencer, LA, Mike Bryan of Farmerville, LA, and Pat Bryan and wife, Joanie of Rocky Branch, LA; one brother: Dick Stansberry of Wilcox, AR; two sisters: Marie Schroeter and Patricia Greenwood of Tuscon, AZ; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

JUANITA SANDERS BUNN
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - Ruston, LA

Funeral services for Juanita Sanders Bunn, 64 years, of Ruston, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA.
Rev. Dale Oden will be officiating assisted by Dr. David Willets and Rev. J. W. Bunn.
Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Eros, LA.
Mrs. Bunn died in Ruston, LA, following a lengthy illness on Saturday, February 12, 2005.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell C. Sanders and Mabel Sessum Sanders of Eros, LA.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Bunn; three daughters: Sandra B. Lassiter of McDonough, GA; Jennifer L. Bunn of Ruston, LA, and Rebecca A. Bunn of Shreveport, LA; granddaughter: Grace Lassiter; grandson: Matthew Sanders Lassiter; brother: Wendell C. Sanders, Jr. of Atlanta, GA.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Bunn, John Lassiter, Hubert Estes, Robert Hearn, Marcus Black and Mark Beadle.
Honorary pallbearers are Bob Leftridge, Bill Rogers, and The Love Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church Building Fund, Mother's Day Out at Temple Baptist Church, or the charity of choice.
Special thanks to Dr. Tommy Smith and the staff at Lincoln General Hospital ICU for the excellent care given.

Services for Mr. Robert Eugene Johnston, Sr., 70, of West Monroe, will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 14, 2005, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Clay Dickson officiating.
Burial will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Bastrop, LA.
Mr. Johnston, a retired funeral director, was born December 4, 1934, in Oak Ridge, LA, and died Saturday, February 12, 2005, in West Monroe, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dora Johnston.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Johnston; brother, Joe Tremaine, formerly Joseph Wayne Johnston of Los Angeles, CA; daughters, T.J. Towns-Thompson and husband, Jimmy of Heflin, LA, and Amy Johnston Mason of Farmerville, LA; sons, Robert "Bob" Johnston, Jr. of West Monroe, LA, Norris Gill Johnston of New Orleans, LA, and Marc Johnston of West Monroe; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

DORIS BROWN McFARLAND

Funeral services for Doris Brown McFarland, age 89, were held Sunday, February 13, 2005, at Downsville United Methodist Church in Downsville, LA.
Rev. William Stokes, Jr. and Rev. Owen Peyton officiated.
Interment was at Downsville Cemetery.
Mrs. McFarland was born February 5, 1916, in Baton Rouge, LA, and died February 12, 2005 in Farmerville, LA.
She had been a long-time resident of Downsville, where she was a member of the Downsville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. McFarland.
Survivors include her three sons: Marvin R. McFarland and wife, Mary Lou, Wayne B. McFarland and wife, Virginia, and Frank E. McFarland all of Downsville; one daughter, Becky Gleason and husband, Jim of Ruston; seven grandchildren: Tommy Wayne McFarland of Downsville, LA; Tammy McFarland Poole of Clinton, MS, Tina McFarland Corona of Marion, LA, Eric K. McFarland of Shreveport, LA, Jonathan D. McFarland of Prairieville, LA, Anna Beth Gleason and J. Cole Gleason of Ruston, LA; and eight great-grandchildren.

AGNES ROSS MOORE

Services for Agnes Ross Moore, age 95, of Ft. Necessity, LA, will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 14, 2005 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro, with Rev. Howard Childs officiating.
Burial will follow in Boeuf Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Moore, and a son, Steve Felton Moore, also a son-in-law, Bob Stewart.
Survivors include her two daughters: Gloria Nell Moore Stewart of Monroe, Vikki Diane Moore Haring and husband, Tommy of Ft. Necessity; two sons: Faydette Moore and wife, Ola of Ft. Necessity, Charlie B. Moore and wife, Jean of Monroe; daughter-in-law: Patsy Sellers Moore of Ft. Necessity; sister: Vera Seffens of Sterlington, LA; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Edward Moore, Robbie Stewart, Steve Sellers Moore, Jeffrey Brooks Moore, James Felton Moore, and David Paul Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Bryan, Charles Buie, Paul Desha Turner, James Ernest Woolridge, Scott McDonald Wiggers, Herman Bonner Wiggers, Wilby C. Campbell, W. B. Scriber, and Tommy Haring.

CHRISTINE WITT STROUD
Rabenhorst Funeral Home - Baton Rouge, LA

A resident of Lafayette, since 1994 and a former resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 8:57 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2005, at Lafayette General Hospital.
She was 87 and a native of West Monroe.
Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, east chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, from 9:00 AM Tuesday until religious services at conducted by the Rev. J. Ewing Brown.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward T. Stroud.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Stroud of Covington, LA; two sons and daughters-in-law: Dean E. and Linda Stroud of Baton Rouge, LA, Mark and Charlene Stroud of Lafayette, LA; two grandchildren: Ryan Stroud and Cindy Stroud, both of Lafayette, LA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.

BRODIE TANNER, JR.
Mulhearn Funeral Home - Sterlington Road, Monroe

Services for Mr. Brodie Tanner, Jr., 77, of Monroe, will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2005, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Msgr. Edmund Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Tanner was born January 27, 1928, in Homer, LA, and died February 13, 2005, at his residence after a long battle with prostate cancer.
He loved to hunt and fish and could fix anything.
He never met a stranger and was a true and loyal friend to all who knew him.
A veteran of the "Blue Devils" of the 88th Infantry in the Army, he served as a Sergeant in Italy in World War II.
He retired from Bell South in 1987, with 38 years of service to travel North America, in his motorhome, making his last trip to Disney World with his daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren in November, 2004.
His wife, Barbara Herlevic Tanner; son, Steven Mark Tanner; twin sons, Robert Glenn and Thomas Michael Tanner; mother, Lilla Pearl Ray; father, Brodie Tanner, Sr.; and brothers, Morris Richardson and Rayford Ray preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Ron Seanor of West Monroe, and Monica and Michael Boudreaux of Monroe; grandchildren, Adam and Andrew Seanor and Mickaela and Morgan Boudreaux; dear friends, Lee and Annie Portwood of Alexandria, LA, and Marguerite Cherry of Shreveport, LA; and brothers, John Richardson of Ruston, LA, Jesse Richardson of Jonesboro, LA, and Raymond Ray of Lake Bistineau, LA.
Pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Lee Sherrill, Johnny George, Richard Purcell, John Moore, and Greg Hutts.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy or Boy Scouts of America.

LT. A1 JOSEPH SHELTON TRICHEL

Private family services were held for LT. A1 Joseph Shelton Trichel, 89, of West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Trichel died on February 6, 2005 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veteran's Home in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Trichel was born in Harrisonburg, LA, on December 24, 1915 and attended local schools and graduated from Louisiana State University in Forestry in 1940.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Naval Service and became a Naval Aviator, participating in major air battles in the Pacific Theatre of Operations flying Douglas Torpedo Bombers based on aircraft carriers until WWII ended in 1945.
After he left the Navy, he moved to West Monroe, LA, and was employed by Olinkraft, where he supervised wood procurement until he bought and ran Monroe Pulpwood Company.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Trichel; sisters, Mrs. Audrey T. Gibson and Mrs. Geraldine T. McHale, all of Harrisonburg, LA, and son, Joseph S. Trichel, Jr. of West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Trichel is survived by his wife, the former Claudia Cage; daughters, Kristin and husband Milton T. Bruyere of Shreveport, LA, and Susan T. Hastings; son, Paul Trichel and wife T. Call of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Jennifer and Sarah Hastings and David and Jessica Trichel; sisters, Mrs. Joyce T. Martin of Winnsboro, LA, Mrs. Kathryn T. Bond of Baton Rouge, LA, and brother, Dr. B.E. Trichel of Shreveport, LA.
It is requested that any memorials be given to a favorite Charity of your Choice.

Joshua Murphy of West Monroe, a senior at Downsville High School, died Friday.

Burial will be in Mount Ararat Cemetery near Downsville.

Theron Dyson Ross, 47

JONESBORO Theron Dyson "Fuzzy" Ross, a bulldozer operator, died Sunday.
