Helen Barlow, 72, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Friday, February 11, 2005 in a local hospital.
Born December 27, 1932 in Oklahoma, she was a member of Central Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Eric Whitney and Beverly and Robert Thompson; one son, Ronald Dean Barlow; five grandchildren, Megan, Evan and Austin Whitney and Charles and David Thompson; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Orlene Jackson, Ken and Carol Jackson and Cliff and Evonda Jackson.
Services will be 3:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2005 at Gross Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Calhoun, Louisiana.

MRS. GERALDINE "JERRI" GRAHAM
Mulhearn Funeral Home - Mangham, LA

Services for Mrs. Geraldine "Jerri" Graham, 72 of Mangham, LA, will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Mangham Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Aultman officiating.
Interment to follow in Gwin Cemetery, Mangham, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Mrs. Graham was a member of Mangham Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Wisenor, Sr. and Rosa Lee Johnson Wisenor, brothers, Calvin Wisenor, Jr., Charles Edward Wisenor sister, Bonnie Jean Wisenor and grandson, Stacey Graham.
She is survived by her husband, Lorell Graham, a daughter, Beverly Cupp and her husband, Donald, sons, Lennie Graham and his wife, Kristy and Jerry Lynn Graham and his wife, Jennifer all of Mangham, LA.
A sister, Margie Goudan and her husband, Milton of Lewisville, TX; six grandchildren, Alan Cupp and his wife, Jennifer, Heather G. Corder and her husband, David, Haley Graham, Macey Graham, Krystal Graham and Mallory Graham; six great-grandchildren Kobe, Gavin, Shadye, MaKayla, Bryan and Lilly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ron Morgan, Charles "Bo" Pickering, Charles McDonald, Ellis Wilson, Travis Stephenson, Jimmy Morris. Honorary Pallbearers will be deputies from Richland Parish Sheriff's office and officers from Mangham Police Dept., Rayville Police Dept., and Delhi Police Dept.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday and 1:00 PM until service time Wednesday at Mangham Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mangham Baptist Church Building fund or The Louisiana Baptist Children's.

DOROTHY JEAN KOONTZ JACKSON
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - Ruston, LA

Dorothy Jean Koontz Jackson passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at her home after a battle with cancer.
She celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with her husband, Colonel Leslie Gene Jackson, USAF retired, this past December.
Dorothy was born in Fairfield, Illinois, on July 1, 1932.
Dorothy was raised in Fairfield, Illinois, and Wayne County.
Dorothy graduated from Fairfield Community High School in May of 1950.
She was the Valedictorian of her class.
She played first chair clarinet in the band and was in the choir.
She graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, in May of 1954, with a degree in business.
She taught business classes at her alma mater in Fairfield, from September of 1954 to May of 1956.
She married Leslie Gene Jackson on December 23, 1954, at the First Methodist Church of Fairfield, Illinois.
Dorothy accompanied her husband throughout his military career in the United States Air Force.
Her son, Michael, was born while her husband was in pilot training in 1956.
Her daughter, Christy, was born while they were stationed at Mountain Home, Idaho in 1959.
Her parents, William Allen Koontz and Anna Vaughn Koontz, of Fairfield, Illinois, preceded her in death by many years.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Gene Jackson, who resides in Ruston, Louisiana. .
Her living legacy includes a son, a daughter, and six grandchildren.
Her son is Michael Sherman Jackson, M.D.
His wife is Jamie Osborne Jackson, formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana.
They have three sons, Shawn Michael Jackson, Gregory Brock Jackson and Nolan James Jackson.
Their family lives in Rome, Georgia.
Her daughter is Christy Lynn Jackson Rew, formerly of Ruston, Louisiana.
She is married to Brigadier General William J. Rew.
They have three daughters, Jessica Lauren Rew, Amanda Marie Rew and Kathryn Michelle Rew.
The Rews are currently stationed at Misawa Air Force Base, Japan.
She is also survived by her sister, Katherine Koontz Koelsch of Fresno, California, and her brother, Floyd Koontz of Homasassa Springs, Florida.
Dorothy and her husband, Gene, moved to Ruston, Louisiana, in June of 1978.
She has been a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Ruston, since 1996.
She was a member of the church choir and the Living Word Sunday School Class.
Dorothy loved music and working in her garden.
She was an award-winning bowler with a perfect 300 game to her credit, and a Lady Techster basketball fan.
The family will receive friends at Grace United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 16th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on Thursday, February 17th at 1:00 PM.
The Reverend Wayne Evans, of Grace United Methodist Church, will officiate the service.
Dorothy will be interred at Pines Memorial Cemetery.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Grace United Methodist Church Christian Life Center fund at Grace United Methodist Church in Ruston, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Gary Odom, James White, Richard Pyles, Ardis Tooke, Colin Godfrey and John McKinney.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Turtle Creek English Turn Coffee Group and Grace Methodist Men.

MRS. ODEATRICE "DEE" POWELL
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - West Monroe, Louisiana

Funeral services for Mrs. Odeatrice "Dee" Powell, 64, of West Monroe, LA, will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at Clark Springs Baptist Church, West Monroe, LA, with Dr. James Parker and Rev. Terry Mims officiating.
Interment will be at Clark Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, West Monroe, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mrs. Powell was born November 17, 1940 in Jena, LA, and passed away at her residence February 14, 2005, following a two-year battle with cancer.
Mrs. Powell was retired from Sears after 23 years of service.
She was a member of Clark Springs Baptist Church, she also was a volunteer with Hospice Care of Louisiana.
Survivors are husband: Maurice Powell of West Monroe, LA; son: Jimmy Powell and wife, Alex of West Monroe, LA; daughter: Jill Lynn Mills and husband, Bob of Sacramento, CA; four grandchildren: Ashley Mills, Parker Powell, Vivian Powell and Lily Powell; sisters: Linda Haye and husband, Nicky of Rocky Branch, LA; Elaine Poole and husband, Clifford of Jena, LA; Reba Randall and husband, Thad of Aimwell, LA; Ruby Dannehl and husband, Ricky of Columbia, LA; brothers: Wayne Poole and wife, Donna of Jena, LA; Dean Poole and wife, Mary Ann of Rosefield, LA; sister-in-law: Doris Powell Gray of Jena, LA.
Pallbearers will be deacons from Clark Springs Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home and Wednesday 1:00 PM until service time at Clark Springs Baptist Church.

MR. JAMES RAY SPEARMAN
Gill First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro, LA

Services for Mr. James Ray Spearman, age 80, a resident of Winnsboro, Louisiana, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Crowville, LA, with Rev. C.T. Smith officiating.
Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the church.
Mr. Spearman attended Crowville High School.
He joined the U.S.M.C. and served during the World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He received a purple heart for his service in the military.
Preceded in death by his parents, S.Q. and Mattie Spearman, his wife, Lois Clement Spearman; son, James Ray Spearman, Jr., and several siblings.
He leaves to share fond memories: his wife, Annette Sinclair Spearman; children, four daughters, Betty Hood, Susan Kitchell, Diane Sylvester, and Lee Ann Leonard and four sons, Don, Keith, and Gary Spearman, and Larry Leonard; his sister, Bonnie Tibbit, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Frances Hinton Wyant, age 66, of Luling, LA, died on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at her home from pancreatic cancer.
Beloved mother of her four children, who were the joy and focus of her life, Thomas Wyant, Sr., Micah Ann Wyant, Amy Hebert and Timothy Wyant; father, Grady (Bud) Hinton, Jr.; brother, Grady T. Hinton, III and his wife, Patty, of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Thomas Wyant, Jr., Taylor Wyant, Kane Wyant, Cooper Hebert, and Raine Wyant; step-grandchildren, Gary Hebert, Jr., Katie Stromboe, Jennifer Cooley, and Heather Hebert; aunts, Barbara York, and Louise Humphries; uncles, Jimmy Kees and Quincey Hinton; numerous cousins and many close friends.
Preceded in death by mother, Audie Kees Hinton.
Mrs. Wyant was a retired teacher with St. Charles Parish School System and was Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Wyant was a member of First Baptist Church of Luling, LA.
