Dennis, Gregory L. of New Orleans, LA; son of Judge James L. Dennis of New Orleans, and Camille Smith Dennis of Monroe, died February 7, 2005.
A private ceremony was held to commemorate his life at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA, on February 13, 2005. The Reverend Dick Humphries and Dr. Welton Gaddy performed the service prior to a private ceremony of remembrance.
Mr. Dennis attended Neville High School in Monroe, and graduated from Slidell High School in Slidell, LA. He was also a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a son, Zachary L. Dennis of Minneapolis, MN, three brothers; Timothy Dennis of Oakland, CA; Mark T. Dennis of New Orleans; and Stephen J. Dennis, of Providence, RI.

Harold Spillers officiating. Interment will follow at Stevenson Cemetery, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Annie Mae Freeland was born on August 3, 1920 in Hico, LA, and passed away on February 18, 2005. She was a member of Holly Ridge United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.J. Freeland and her parents, Lewis and Eunice Napper.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Vickie Freeland of Holly Ridge; the lights of her life, three grandchildren: Gary, Jr., Clay Matthew and Megan Nicole Freeland. She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Juanita Stewart of Hico; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Elizabeth Napper of Ruston; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Will Ed Dark of West Monroe; sister-in-law, Juanita Bizzell of Mustang, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vernon and Lee Freeland of Rayville, and many greatly-loved nieces and nephews.
She was proud to be a retired Holly Ridge Elementary School teacher, having taught for thirty-six years. Her great loves were her family, her flowers, reading her devotionals and remembering her students and her days as a teacher.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Clay Freeland, nephews, Fred Freeland, Randall Dark, Duke Napper, Mike Stewart and family friend, Harold Gallman.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Donnie Bizzell, Karl Ray Bizzell, and Bill Maglott.

RICHARD JOHN (DICK) GRANDON

Services for Richard John (Dick) Grandon will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Ruston, on Monday, February 21, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Father Gary Bernhardt will officiate at the memorial service.
Dick began life at home in LaSalle County, IL, on December 13, 1933. He was the youngest of six children, the son of Paul and Gladys Grandon. He departed this life on February 18, 2005, when he was reunited with his parents, his sister, Lois Grandon, and brothers that he never met, Guy, who died at age 7, and Robert and Dean, who died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, whom he cherished, Patricia Grandon, and his three children and their spouses: daughter, Beth and Kenny Bostwick; sons, Paul and Barbara Grandon and John and Christy Grandon. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Dyer; grandchildren: Shay and Shannon Bostwick; Jessica, Jarrod, and Jake Grandon; Jonathan and Hope Grandon and Zack and Carly Alvarez.
He lived a full and active life. He served in the U.S. Navy as a radioman from 1953-1955. He was passionate about the game of baseball. When he was 19, while continuing to play baseball, he began a coaching career that spanned fifty years. Dick worked hard to help others reach their full potential. He was always involved with youth, either as a Scout Master or as a baseball coach. He was a past Post Commander of American Legion Post 29 in Rensselaer, Indiana. Later, his life experience allowed him to reach out to many through AA. His latest hobby was gold prospecting that brought him new friends and adventures. Last, but not least, he enjoyed talking politics with his friends at the Huddle House.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jarrod, Jake, and Jonathan Grandon, and Keith Clark, Mitch Dufour, and Rob Neilson.
Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA, on Sunday, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM
BOB GRIFFIN - West Monroe, LA.
Bob Griffin, age 78, retired electrical contractor, passed away on February 2, 2005. A memorial service honoring his life will be held February 27, 2005, at Area 1, Cheniere Lake, 104 Cheniere Lake Rd., West Monroe, LA.
Bob was born in Monroe, LA, on June 19, 1926 and graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1944. He served in the Army during World War II with the 158th Regimental Combat team, seeing action in the Philippines and Japan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Mattie Griffin and one brother, Lewis Griffin, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Bobbie Griffin; his son, Clifton Griffin and wife, Katherine; his daughter, Kathleen Gates and husband, Larry; three grandchildren, Heather Griffin, Joseph Gates and wife, Maraya; Ray Gates and wife, Misty; two great-granddaughters: MacKenzie Gates and Brittany Gates, all of West Monroe, LA. Also, one brother: John Griffin and wife, Joyce of West Monroe; three sisters: Betty Wroten, Farmerville, LA, Sue Venator, West Monroe, and Fern Belton, Bossier City, LA; sister-in-law: Norma Griffin, West Monroe; one "unofficial" daughter, Jennifer Oliphant and husband, Don, West Monroe. He had numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by family and his many friends.
