Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Chatham High School and briefly resided in San Antonio, TX, where he was trained as a sheet metal worker.
He was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps and served in the Pacific Theatre and India.
Mr. Johnson and his father, Dave, owned and operated Johnson Service Station in Chatham, LA.
Mr. Johnson then owned and operated Johnson Oil Company and Chatham Citgo for many years.
He was a member of Sikes Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Martha Johnson of Chatham, LA; one daughter: Carol Ann Johnson of North Potomac, MD; one son: Dale F. Johnson of Chatham, LA; one sister: Thetis Davidson of Ardmore, OK; two brothers: Dr. David Edsel Johnson and wife, Francis of Birmingham, AL, Dr. Johnny Ray Johnson and wife, Barbara of Florence, AL.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Gatlin, Herman Leonard, Ira Reeves, Eddie Langston, Bobby Keith Barnette, and David Loveridge.

Stuart Burch Ferrand, 92, passed away in Ruston, on Sunday, February 20, 2005, after a lenghty illness.
Mr. Ferrand was born in Ruston, on April 7, 1912.
He attended Ruston area schools and Meadow-Draughon Business School in Shreveport.
He was retired from T.L. James and Company, Inc. after a 35-year career as office manager, serving at various job location for the company in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Louisiana.
He was an avid gardener and enjoyed raising vegetables to share with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn Trussell Ferrand, a sister-in-law and her husband, Mildred and Lu McGehee, Ruston; and a brother-in-law and his wife, D.L. and Maureen Trussell, Shreveport.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Charlie Sue Brouh, Murrieta, CA; Harry Steven, Kodiak, AK; Sam Steven and Jimmy Steven, Winnsboro, Susan McWilliams, Baton Rouge, Bill Wilkins, Shreveport, Patricia Flournoy, Don McGehee, Deborah Lynch, David McGehee, Dell Jones, and Lucius McGehee, all of Ruston.
Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Ruston, on Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
The memorial service will be in Kilpatrick's chapel on Tuesday at 2:00 PM with Dr. Wayne Evans officiating.

Burial will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mrs. Fontana was a native and lifelong resident of Monroe, LA.
She was a member of the Jesus of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Mrs. Fontana was an auxiliary member for the Knights of Columbus; she was a member of the Progressive Men's Club; the Columbia Social Club, and she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of The Americas.
For 41 years, Mrs. Fontana and her husband worked closely together in the grocery business.
Mrs. Fontana is survived by her husband of 70 years, Mr. Michael Joseph Fontana, their son, Julian Fontana and wife Deedra, of Leland, MS; three daughters, Frances F. Sampognaro and husband, Johnny of Monroe, LA; Jo Marie F. Kindrix and husband, Gorden, of Monroe, LA; and Deborah Ann F. Scott and her husband, Arvin of Gaston, N.C.; she is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and fifty-two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fontana is preceded in death by her two sisters, Catherine Funderburg and Virginia Morrell; and one brother, Frank Scalia.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 22, 2005, with a vigil wake service at 6:30 PM.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Greg Green, her caregivers; Christi Hogard, Sandra Tanner, Mary Vallery, Vertie Washington, Ozell Badger, and Tammy Schuman.

Mr. Fore was born in Livermore, CA, on August 22, 1953 to the union of Joe Westley and Sybil Honeycutt Fore and died Monday, February 21, 2005 at the North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX.
He was a project superintendent with Trans Tech Electric in Austin, TX, and also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was also a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife: Debra Stephens Fore of Grayson, his daughter and son-in-law: Nickey and Kevin Hixson of Grayson; his grandsons: Michael Joe Hixson, his god-daughter: Amy Dortch and her husband: Chris; his god-granddaughters: Brooklyn Hatten and Abigayle Hatten; his brother and sister-in-law: Benny Eugene and Kay Fore of Grayson; his sister: Joy Fore Nugent of Grayson, nine nieces and nine nephews.

MARGARET ELIZABETH (MARGUERITE) GRAFF HEAD
Farmerville, LA - In Loving Memory of
Margaret Elizabeth (Marguerite) Graff Head went to be with her Lord on her 90th birthday, February 17, 2005, beginning a new life on the anniversary of the old one.
She was born in 1915 at Myrtis, Louisiana, to William Jacob and Sallie Noble Graff, who preceded her in death.
Mother said that she believed that she lived through the most interesting, the most awesome time: from horse and buggy to spaceships and space stations.
She lived life to its fullest for as long as she could.
Now she is enjoying life at its best in Heaven, reunited with her husband, Sam Head, with whom she shared fifty years of life, and with other members of her family.
Her daughters and their families, her nieces and nephews and their families, her many friends will miss her, but rejoice with her on this day.
She is survived by daughters: Margaret Head Ford of Oklahoma City; Julie Ann Head Fontana and her husband, Jack of Monroe; Katherine Elizabeth Head McDuffie and her husband, Blythe of West Monroe.
Also, grandchildren: Karel Elizabeth Ford Loveland and her husband, Clyde; and Billy Dean Ford of Oklahoma City; Jennifer Fontana, Jodi Fontana Plummer, and Jeffery Fontana, all of Monroe; Sam McDuffie and Barnett McDuffie of West Monroe; as well as two great-grandchildren, Stephan and Gabrielle of Monroe; many nieces and nephews scattered around the nation, and countless friends.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, West Monroe, for more than fifty years and worked in the church media center for many of those years.
Through the media center, she made friends young and old.
She loved to go fishing with her family and to have fish fries, either on the creek bank or in the back yard.
She was a great Scrabble player, crossword puzzle fan, and an avid reader.
Mother truly enjoyed having coffee and conversation with family and friends.
She always had room for one more in her home.
Mother donated her body to the L.S.U. Medical School, teaching us to be givers, even to the end of her life.
We will have a celebration of her life some time during the summer, at a cousin's reunion.
Information will be provided later to friends, so that they may also join in the celebration.

Mr. Owens was born on April 6, 1954 in Twin Falls, ID, and passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2005.
Mr. Owens was employed by Ford, Bacon and Davis as a designer for 15 years.
He was currently working at Angus Chemical.
He really enjoyed woodworking, blacksmithing, and spending time with his family.
He was well-known in his community, and among his church members as always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he held many offices.
He currently was a High Councilman and served as a missionary in England, from 1973 to 1975.
Mr. Owens is survived by his wife: Belinda Owens; seven children: Andrew Owens, Catherine Owens, Jonathan Hanson, Sherilyn Hanson, Sarah Hanson, Rayford Westmoreland, and Lora Westmoreland; nine brothers and sisters: Carma Snow, Edith Flinn, Myra Miller, Tom Owens, Shirley Cano, Patsy Daarud, Virgil Owens, Fred Owens, and Twyla Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenn David Tarver, died midday, February 19th, at the age of 70.
Glenn was born in Columbia, Louisiana, on August 30, 1934.
As a youth he was an avid out doorsman enjoying sports and hunting.
Glenn received a Bachelor Degree in Science and minor in Math from NLU.
He received his Master's at Mississippi Baptist College.
During the Korean War, Glenn served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal.
He began his career as a basketball coach in Enterprise, La.
He next taught Math at Columbia, finishing as a Guidance Counselor at Caldwell Parish High School.
After retirement, Glenn fulfilled his dream as a cattle farmer.
Glenn was married to Patricia Ann Tarver for 47 years.
Glenn's also survived by his daughters, Nancy Wild married to Wayne Wild of Crowley, his daughter, Wenda Carr married to Robert Carr of Monroe, one special grandchild, Matisha Jenkins of Baton Rouge, brother Jim Tarver, brother-in-laws, Charles Meredith and Johnny Meredith, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Columbia Heights Baptist Church in Columbia, Louisiana.
Officiating will be Rev. Bruce McGee.
Glenn, forever the educator, wanted people to learn from his many illnesses and as a truly caring person, he has dedicated his body to Science.
