LELA PAULINE COUCH GRAY
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - Farmerville, LA

Lela Pauline Couch Gray was born on August 13th, 1913. She departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on March 2nd, 2005 at 91 years of age.
She was a beloved Mother and Grandmother. She was a friend to all who knew her.
She was a member of Sterlington First Baptist Church. She lived the last 9 years of her life in her hometown of Bernice, LA. The last 4 of these years, she resided at Pinecrest Health care in Bernice.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Charles F. Gray, Sr.; one son Charles F. Gray, Jr.; one sister, Ruby Couch Gray; two brothers, Lynn Couch and Charles Couch.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws: Jim and Pam Gray of Sterlington, LA, Doug and Bonnie Gray, and Charlene Gray, both of Bernice, LA; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and long-time friend, Patsy Welch of Sterlington, LA.
Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 4th at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with Bro. Mike Smith officiating
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeffery Gray, Steve Gray, Wesley Gray, John Brown, Mike Roberson and Alex Smalling.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 3rd from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

MR. HOMER HERMAN
CrothersGlenwood Funeral Home - Tallulah, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Homer Herman, age 87, of Tallulah, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2005 in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Bro. John Magnuson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2005 at the funeral home.
Mr. Herman died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. He was a native of Yell County, Arkansas, and had lived in Madison Parish, for 68 years. He was a farmer and a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie M. Herman of Tallulah; one son: Harry B. Herman and wife, Sandra of Tallulah; three daughters: Betty Lee and husband, Hoyt of West Monroe, Virginia Williams of Tallulah, and Elizabeth Mahoney and husband, Paul of Belleville, IL; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Bro. Leroy Lewis was born June 19, 1942 to the late Simmie Lewis and Magnolia Lewis in Jackson, LA.
He de parted this life on Friday, February 25, 2005 after a lengthy illness.
He joined the church and was baptized at a young age. He retired from the Columbia State School.
His mother, father, and two brothers, James Kelly Lewis and Charles Edward Lewis preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn a loving wife, Mrs. Bertha Mae (Charleston) Lewis; two sons: Mr. Leroy Rose (Audrey) of Gilbert, LA, and Mr. Terry Charleston of Dallas, TX; one grandson: Terry Charleston, Jr.; ten sisters: Mrs. Simmie Mae Autman (Taro) of Lockport, IL, Mrs. Vera Mae Martin of Chicago, IL, Evangelist Eloise Emmerson of Monroe, LA, Mrs. Dorothy Byas (Willie) of Winnsboro, LA, and Mrs. Carolyn Scott of Joliet, IL, Mrs. Jeanette Jones, Ms. Alice Lewis and Ms. Betty Lewis all of Columbia, LA, Mrs. Elaine Curry (George) of New Iberia, LA, Ms. Hazel Lewis (Bobby Ray) of Grayson, LA; three brothers: Mr. Joe Henry Lewis (Ermma) of Wisner, LA, Mr. John Lewis of Columbia, LA, and Mr. Jessie "Dee" Lewis of Lockport, IL. He also leaves to mourn a special nephew who was like a little brother, Mr. Travis "Lucky" Lewis of Augusta, GA, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2005 at St. Paul Baptist Church in Columbia, LA. Burial will be at Oakley Cemetery, Gilbert, LA. Open visitation will be at Miller Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2005.

William A. Albritton, 92

FARMERVILLE William Arthur Albritton died Tuesday.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville.
Burial will be in Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

LAKE ST. JOHN Aline W. Bender, a housewife, died Wednesday.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Ferriday.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Arlen Carr, 80

Arlen Carr, a retired carpenter of Monroe, died Tuesday.
Services are incomplete under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia.

Doris K. Ferguson, 84

WISNER Doris K. Ferguson, a homemaker, died Tuesday.
The funeral is 10 a.m. today at First Pentecostal Church, Wisner.
Burial is in South Central Cemetery in Wisner.
Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Hickman, 89

OAK GROVE Robert Hickman, a laborer, died Feb. 25.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Bloomy Shade Baptist Church, Kilbourne.
Burial is in the church cemetery under the direction of Brannum Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
Visitation is 1-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
