IMOGENE DURRETT ALEXANDER
Monroe, LA

Imogene Durrett Alexander, 82, she was born September 30, 1922 and went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 9, 2005.
She will be greatly missed by her family: Mark and Cindy Alexander; David and Lori Meyer; Jeff, Chris, and Billy Turner; Courtney, Rosemary, and Reid Alexander; and the extensive Durrett Family. We wish to thank her many friends and physicians, especially the Agape Life Group and Dr. Greg Green. Her life will be remembered and celebrated in Dallas, Texas. Burial will take place at Laurel Land Cemetery, next to her beloved Alec. Any planned memorials should be made to the Baptist's Children's Home. She was a gift to us all.

MARGARET SMITH BODDIE

SHREVEPORT, LA Services for Margaret Smith Boddie will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2005, at First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Don Webb of First United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in the church parlor.
Margaret Smith Boddie, a native of North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2005, in Shreveport, LA.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Harry C. Smith of Raleigh, NC. Margaret was a graduate of Duke University and sang in the chapel choir and Gilbert and Sullivan Productions.
After graduation, she was secretary to the Dean and Registrar of the Duke Divinity School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shreveport, where she was an honorary member of the Official Board.
Margaret also participated in the United Methodist Women, Circle 3, and the Ruth Johns New Beginnings Sunday School Class. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter B, Thursday Book Club and Book Worms.
Her husband, Dr. Wyatt David Boddie, preceded her in death.
Survivors are her children, Linda Clark and husband, David of Natchitoches, LA, Susan Davis and husband, Sam of Dallas, TX and Wyatt David Boddie, III and wife, Deborah of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Laurie Kristin Clark Bridges and husband, William, Cinda Lynette Clark and husband, Richard, Erin Elizabeth Davis McWhirter and husband, Nicholas and Matthew Clayton Davis; great-granddaughter, Caroline LeAnn Bridges; sisters, Ruth Cooke of Shreveport, LA, and Dorothy Lanier of Winston-Salem, NC; and brothers-in-law, Harbin Boddie of Shreveport, LA, and Jack Boddie of Raleigh, NC.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Doug McGuire, Rev. Greg Davis, Rev. Raymond Crofoot, Rev. Doug Cain, James Briggs, John Vickers, James Adams and John Colvin.
Memorials may be made to the Boddie-Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund at Centenary College or the Music Department of First United Methodist Church of Shreveport.

Services for Little Maud Carter, age 86, of Ruston, LA, will be held Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Vienna, LA, with Rev. David Hastings officiating. Interment will be at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens near West Monroe, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mrs. Carter died Thursday, March 10, 2005 in Minden, LA, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Carter was a member of Calvary Baptist Church; past member of Edgewood Baptist Church in West Monroe; a member of the Greenwood Peacemakers Quilting Club and she was retired from United Insurance Company.
Mrs. Carter is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Woodrow W. Carter.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Carter Webb of Calhoun, LA; sons, Glen Carter and wife, Kay of Bossier City, LA, and Eric Carter of Bernice, LA; six grandchildren, Stacey McKinnie of Calhoun, LA, Carter Webb of Calhoun, LA, Lori Rogers of Shreveport, LA, Kandi Talbert of Minden, LA, Chris Carter of Haughton, LA, and Jared Carter of Benice, LA; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Vienna, LA.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Funeral service for Mrs. Debbie Guice, 51, of Downsville, LA, will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2005 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Greg Dunn officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Debbie was born April 14, 1953 in West Monroe, LA, and passed away March 9, 2005 in Shreveport, LA.
Debbie was a gift in all of our lives. She had such a humble and giving heart, she would give you the shirt off her back and expect nothing in return. Her battle with cancer was hard, but she never gave up fighting for her beloved boys, her children and grandchildren, never complaining even once about her sickness.
She impressed and amazed her doctor's and nurses. Our family was comforted as so many nurses truly loved our Debbie. We know that she would never want to come back to earth, as she is at home, at peace and at rest with Jesus.
We will miss you mama, daughter, mammaw, sister, aunt and friend. We Love You. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, A.R. Lambert, brother, Gaylon Lambert and a niece, Melissa Dunn.
Survivors are: three sons; Chris Odom and wife Tracy of Downsville, LA, Brad Odom and T.W. Guice of Point, LA; mother: Dorothy Lambert of West Monroe, LA; sister: Becky Simpson and husband Charles of Point, LA; brothers: Don Lambert, Randy Lambert, Jerry Lambert and wife Helma; Joe Lambert all of West Monroe, LA; grandsons: Tyler Odom, Justin Odom, and Dylan Odom; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends; Liz Rugg, Travis Guice and Kathy Jo Morton.
Pallbearers will be: Randy Lambert, Don Lambert, Scott Lambert, Gerald Rugg, John Pruitt, Jody Lambert, Jason Turner.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Visitation for Esther Elaine Parham will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) on Sunday, March 13, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and funeral services will be held at Church Of The Living Savior, 149 5th Street in McFarland, on Monday, March 14, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at North Kern Cemetery District in Delano, CA.
Pallbearers will be Warner Brooks, Don Cornet, David Henderson, Clinton Shick and Rudy Paimer and Viga Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Wood, Raymond Shick, Dwain Smith, Don Schofner.
Esther Elaine Parham, 86, died at her home at 5909-1 Sunny Palms Ave. in Bakersfield, Tuesday, March 8, 2005.
Elaine is survived by her sons, Walter B. of Bakersfield and Dr. Arthur A. of Fresno. Her son, Dallas, died in 1980 and a daughter, Tracy Jean, was born and died 1947. Her husband, William Snyder "Tony" Parham, died in 1964. Elaine, born September 6, 1918, Sicily Island, Louisiana, was the fourth of six children born to Louis Allan Smith, whose family can be traced to 1751, North Carolina, and Myrtle Waldrop, whose family can be traced to 1600 Edinburgh, Scotland. She is survived by an older sister, Avis Lantrip of Lendale, Texas.
Brothers, William Louis and Shelby and sisters, Doris and Delure preceded her in death. She has five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Elaine graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe, in 1936. She entered Louisiana Polytechnic Institute, now Louisiana Tech. Ruston, where she graduated and earned a teaching credential in 1940. She started her teaching career the same year at the grammar school Bastrop, then moved to Calhoun, where on March 13, 1942, she married William Snyder "Tony" Parham, a graduate of L.S.U. While Captain Parham served in Europe as the C.O. of the 455th Ord. Evac. Unit, Elaine continued teaching in Calhoun.
In 1946, Capt. Parham was honorably discharged from the Army and Elaine quit teaching to be with her husband and start a family. By 1950, they were in California, and in 1951, settled in McFarland. In 1952, Elaine started teaching in the 5th grade at Kern Ave. Grammar School. In 1962, she began teaching English at McFarland High School and served as head of the English Dept. for 20 years. She, with the help of the yearbook class, produced the McFarland High yearbook. Elaine retired in 1982, after serving on numerous curriculum committees and helped develop the Kern High School District Writing Proficiency Examination.
Elaine touched the lives of hundreds of young people and will be fondly remembered as the "toughest teacher" that they ever had, but she was the one that had the greatest impact in their lives.

BOBBY LYNN SHARBONO

Bobby Lynn Sharbono, 53, of West Monroe, passed away on February 24, 2005 after a long battle with cancer.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Myrtis Sharbono.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sister: Linda Sharbono; brothers: Allen and Danny Sharbono, all of West Monroe; son: Chris Sharbono; daughter: Amber Renee Wallace and husband, Donny; stepchildren: Clifton and Tonja Feazel, Nicki Luck and husband, Brian; grandchildren: Christina Sharbono, Dustin and Tommy Wallace, Damian, Amie and Roarke Luck.
A memorial is being held Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 2:00 PM at First West Feazel Chapel in West Monroe.
The family would like to thank Dr. Leary, the Glenwood Oncology and Patient's Choice Hospice for the love and care of Bobby.

Johnny Ellington, 70

RAYVILLE Johnny Ellington, a farmer, died Thursday.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tennant Funeral Home chapel in Rayville.
Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Oak Ridge.

Leslie Fergerson, 62

Leslie Fergerson, owner of Leslie Trucking Comp., died Tuesday.
A memorial service is 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church in Marion.

Henry Flanders, 85

FERRIDAY Henry Flanders of Vidalia, died Wednesday.
Arrangements were incomplete under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

M.L. Graham, Jr., 73
