Mulhearn Funeral Home - West Monroe, LA
Services for Mr. Tommy Ray Nichols, 54, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2005, at the Jackson Street Church of Christ, with Joe Owen and Don DeLukie officiating.
Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Mr. Nichols died on January 10, 2005.
Mr. Nichols was a member of Jackson Street Church of Christ.
He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University.
Mr. Nichols was a member of the West Monroe Civitan Club and the Ouachita Parish Civil Air Patrol.
He was a coach with the Dixie Youth Baseball and took three different teams to the World Series.
Survivors include his son, Colby Ray Nichols; sister, Jeanette Morgan and husband Jim; nephew, Michael Blake Morgan; uncle and aunt, Percy and Lois Nichols; aunt, Margaret Dunn; special friend and companion, Elizabeth Barron; and cousins, Gwen, Sonny, Phillip, Harold, Rodney, Elaine, Kay, Johnny, Sue, Karen, Tom, and Joy Lynn.
Pallbearers will be Danny Bone, Jack Armstrong, Michael Clinton, Mike Walsworth, Ricky Norris, Jerry Cook, Mike Harvey, and Rodney Traweek.
Honorary pallbearers will be the West Monroe Civitan Club, Dr. R. Guthrie Jarrell, Jim McConathy, and Matt Shepard.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the Tommy Ray Nichols Scholarship Fund at Louisiana Tech University.

Services for Arlan E. Rawls of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00, AM Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Christ Church, West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Tom Lowe, Rev. Mark Foster and Rev. Roy Duffey officiating.
Interment will be at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Arlan Rawls was born on December 13, 1924 in West Monroe, LA, and departed this life on January 10, 2005 at 80 years of age.
He was a faithful member of Christ Church for over 25 years where he served as an Elder as well as an Executive Board member.
Arlan served our nation as a Marine Corps paratrooper in World War II.
He also served our community as a member of the West Monroe Lions Club, Greater Ouachita Lions Club, Glenwood Hospital Board of Directors and as a Squadron Commander of the Civil Air Patrol.
Arlan served on the Ouachita Parish Police Jury for 32 years and was proud to have served as president of the Louisiana Police Jury Association.
Following his retirement from the Louisiana Gas Company after 47 years of dedicated service, Arlan pursued his passion for flying and obtained his private pilots license and later received his Instrument Flight Rules rating.
Arlan is preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Samantha Rawls, three sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Marine Anding Rawls; one daughter, Arlene Coley and husband Joe; one son, Wade Rawls; three grandchildren, Christy Owen and husband Larry, Carlan Coley and Chase Coley; and three great-grandchildren, all of West Monroe, LA.
Pallbearers are Ernest Anding, Robert Boughton, Jerry Hicks, J.D. Manning, Gene Norton and Roy Saucer.
Memorials may be made to Christ Church Building Fund or Pentecostals of the Twin Cities Building Fund.
Visitation will be at Christ Church today from 5:00 PM 8:00 PM.
