Funeral Services for Mrs. Cynthia Edwards Breed, 49, of Farmerville, LA, will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA, with Rev. Allen Akin and Rev. Willie Cottrell officiating.
Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Bernice, LA.
Mrs. Breed passed away on Monday, March 14, 2005 in Monroe, LA.
Cynthia was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church.
She taught school for 27 and a half years at Farmerville, Downsville, and Ruston.
She touched a lot of lives in her teaching years.
She managed Hillside pool in the summers.
At Louisiana Tech, she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
She loved summer trips to Colorado, where the family loved to spend time in the outdoors.
She was a loving wife and mother.
She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Edwards.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 24 and a half years, Bill Breed of Farmerville, LA; children, Tyler Breed and Whitney Breed both of Ruston, LA, and Hunter Breed of Farmerville, LA; father, Melton Gray Edwards of Farmerville, LA; brothers and sisters, Jennifer Bordelon and husband, Terry of Branson, MO, Mel Edwards and wife, Debra of Farmerville, LA, Philip Edwards and wife, Missy of Alexandria, LA, Peggy Stracener and husband, Kyle of West Monroe, LA, and Eric Edwards and wife, Marilyn of Baton Rouge, LA. Pallbearers will be Kim Cranford, John Preaus, Mike Lazenby, Randy Moore, David Rogers and Joel Taylor.
Memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation, Mid-South Chapter, 1010 June Rd., Memphis, TN 38119.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA, and Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.

Bernadine Kilcrease Tarver, 84, of Monroe, widow of Mr. M. D. Tarver, entered into rest on March 15, 2005 and was interred privately in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
She is survived by a son, Michael of New Orleans, LA.

Mr. Hodge, a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005.
Survivors include his mother, Dona Ulmer Miller of Monroe; sister, Kay Terry of West Monroe; brothers, Nathan Hodge of Monroe, Paul Hodge of Smithville, AR, and George Hodge of Ada, LA; nieces, Godchild Sheila Hodge, Tammy Phelps, Brandy Terry Pontif, Kirsten Hodge, and Sharroll Hodge; nephew, Christopher Hodge; and also his faithful companion, Black Dog.
His father, George Wesley Hodge and niece, Melissa Hodge preceded him in death.
He had worked at Alliance Electrical for many years until his illness.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

RUSSELL THOMSON, husband of Betty Miller Thomson, passed away at his home in Salado, TX, on March 9, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, stepson, Jim Spillers and wife, Diane Spillers; ten grandchildren, Shannon Nix and husband, Kyle Nix, James, Clayton, Ashlea, Parker, Spencer, Seth, Forrest, Colby, and Hudson Spillers, all of West Monroe, LA; one great-grandchild, Alyssa Nix.
Originally from Ballinger, TX, he made Rockport, TX, his home for 27 years.
He worked as a micro-paleontologist for EXXON-Mobil for 30 years.
Sheffield Funeral Home in Temple, TX, was in charge of arrangements.
There were no services; the body was cremated.
