Services for Mrs. Clemmie Higdon Chauncy, age 97, of Delhi, LA, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Delhi, LA, with Rev. Pat Loftin and Bro. Wilford Burgess officiating.
Interment will be in Lamar Cemetery Delhi, LA, under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Delhi, LA.
Mrs. Chauncy was born January 21, 1908 and passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the Richland Parish Hospital, Delhi, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Chauncy, former husband, Sydney Higdon, daughter, Addie Jewel Herford, grandson, Rickey D. Higdon, father, Robert Chisholm, mother, Addie Chisolm.
She is survived by her son, Tracy Higdon, Delhi, LA; daughter-in-law, Ethel Higdon; daughter, Betty Ruth Hurley, Rogers, Arkansas; son-in-law, Bud Hurley; grandson, Henry G. Herford, Jr., Delhi, LA; granddaughter, Renee Vanderpool, Alamo, TX; grandson, Donald Higdon, Monroe, LA; eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Pepper, Plinky Pennebaker, Roger Ward, Dallas Jones, Allen Ogden, and Justin Higdon.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 PM Monday, at Cox Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Gene Pearson, 67, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 29th, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of West Monroe, with Dr. David Uth and Rev. Mark Fenn officiating.
Interment will be in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe.
Mr. Pearson was born April 20th, 1937 in Bernice, LA, and died March 27th, 2005, in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Pearson was the Director of Administration for the City of Monroe, since 1980 and was scheduled to retire on April 30th, 2005.
A graduate of Bernice High School and Louisiana Tech, he was past partner of Pearson Jewelers.
Mr. Pearson taught at West Monroe Junior High School from 1959 to 1960, and was a volunteer with the Junior Achievers, and a founding member of the Corney Creek Hunting Club.
Billy was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe, for 45 years, where he served as a deacon for 22 years, and a member of the Summerall Life Group.
He served as West Monroe Alderman from 1974 until 1978, and also a 17-year veteran of the West Monroe Police Reserves.
Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his parents, Zula Mae Beaird Pearson and Eugene Pearson of Bernice.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Billy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alice Pearson; his daughter and son-in-law, Dessie Pearson Thrailkill and Tim of West Monroe; four sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl Pearson, Devery Pearson and his wife, Kim Powell Pearson of West Monroe; Robert Pearson and his wife, Jessica McGuire Pearson of Columbia; and Bill Pearson and his wife, Anna Wallace Pearson of West Monroe; 12 grandchildren, Amanda Kaye Pearson and Laura Pearson McMillan of The Woodlands, TX, and Megan and Tyler Thrailkill, Nathan, Nick, Natalie, Paige, Jacob, Ashley, Josh and John Pearson, all of West Monroe; his sister, Mary Alice Pearson McIntyre and her husband, Marion of Delhi; his brother, Herb Evans and his wife, June of Hamburg, AR; his sister-in-law, Kaye Turnage Baber; his brother-in-law, Will Turnage of Murfreesboro, TN; and nieces and nephews, Roger Jones and Linda Jones, Jay W. Turnage, Ashley Carlino, George Baber, Jr., and Zoe Baber.
Active pallbearers include Hoyt Lee, George Wroten, Donny Grafton, James Mock, David Barnes, and Bobby Jack Thrailkill.
Honorary pallbearers include Lloyd Grafton, Simon Pearson, Ben Katz, City of Monroe Fire Chief Jimmie Bryant, Sonny Bennett, George Baber, Jr., Bobby McGuire, and members of the Summerall Life Group Class of First Baptist Church of West Monroe.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 PM Monday and 12:30 PM until service time Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church of West Monroe.
