OSSIE BRANTLEY BOOTH
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - Farmerville, Louisiana

Funeral services for Mrs. Ossie Brantley Booth, 82, of Farmerville, Louisiana, will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 10, 2005 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville, LA, with Reverend Jurd Brantley officiating.
Interment will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Kilpatrick Home.
Mrs. Booth is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Booth, her parents, Mack and Docia Brantley, sisters, Doyle and Mary Jane and brothers, Jesse, Oscar Woodie and Mack Edward.
Mrs. Booth, a native of Farmerville, was born on August 25, 1922 and passed away on April 8, 2005 at Landmark Nursing Home in West Monroe.
She was a member of Wards Chapel Church of Christ and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors are her children: Charlie Booth and his wife, Martha of Farmerville, Gary Booth and his wife, Sharon of Monroe, Van Booth and Ann Booth of West Monroe; grandchildren: Chuck Booth and wife, Bridgette of Ruston, Kelli Black and her husband, Steve of Spearsville, Melissa "Missy" McIntyre of Monroe, Chris DeWitt and her husband, Gary of Monroe, Brad Booth and his wife, Mandy of Monroe, Megan Gibson and her husband, Matt of Monroe, Jonathan Booth and his wife, Shelly of Berwick, and Brantley Booth of West Monroe; great-grandchildren: Hannah and Rachel Booth, Tiffany Black, Taylor Cash, Kelsi McIntyre, Cole DeWitt, Tucker DeWitt, Cooper DeWitt and Claire Booth; sister, Ruby Davidson and her husband, Albert of Farmerville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Miller and Ernestine Booth and Coy and Edna Booth of Farmerville, sisters-in-law, Myra Brantley of Farmerville, Marietta Booth of Alexandria, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 9th from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Sunday, April 10th from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
The family would like to give special thanks to Liz Ellis and Augusta Burns of Senior Care Services, Tonnette Scott of United Home Health and the members of Hospice Care of Louisiana, for the loving care given to Mrs. Booth in the months before her death.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Hill Cemetery Fund, 765 Hopewell Road, Farmerville, Louisiana 71241.

DENNIS OLIVER COURTNEY, SR.

Services for Mr. Dennis Oliver Courtney, Sr., age 56, of DeRidder, LA, will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Calvery Baptist Church Junction, LA, with Bro. Jason Fortenberry and Bro. Charles Hooper officiating.
Interment will be in the Merryville Cemetery, Merryville, LA, under the direction of Myers Colonial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA.
Mr. Courtney passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Oakwood, TX.
He was a native of Bastrop, LA, but had live in DeRidder, for the past 25 years.
He was a graduate of Bastrop High School and attended Northeastern Louisiana State University.
He was a Vietnam veteran who served one tour of duty.
He was also a deputy sheriff of Ouachita Parish.
He then became General Manager of Texas Industries for Lousiana, and Texas.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid rancher.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Courtney of DeRidder, LA; mother: Euna Fair of Bastrop, LA; sons: Dennis Courtney, Jr. of West Monroe, LA, Coty Courtney of Merryville, LA, Steve Coward of DeRidder, LA, and Kevin Coward of DeRidder, LA; daughter: Lissa Leehy of West Monroe, LA; brothers: Eddie Fair of Bastrop, LA, and Norman Fair of Bastrop, LA; sisters: Edith Bernard of Bastrop, LA, Barbara King of Denham Springs, LA, Christine Sorenson of Shreveport, LA, and Sylvia Corgey of Houston, TX.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA, until time of services.

MR. GLENN D. HINTON
Kilpatrick Funeral Home - West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Glenn D. Hinton, 56, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe, with Mr. Phil Robinson officiating.
Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe.
Mr. Hinton was born December 20, 1948 in Monroe, and passed away Friday, April 8, 2005, doing something he loved most, turkey hunting.
Mr. Hinton served in U.S. Army during Vietnam War, and received the Purple Heart.
He retired as a supervisor at Riverwood and later, from the Corp of Engineers.
Mr. Hinton was an avid hunter and loved to be outdoors.
Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by his father, Dee Ross Hinton and his sister, Betty J. Hall.
Mr. Hinton's survivors are: wife: Claudia Hinton; two sons: Johnny Hinton and Marty Hinton and his wife, Brandy; mother: Eloise Tolbird; two sisters: Dianne Warren and her husband, Jim and Karen Griggs and her husband, Mike; mother and father-in-law: Claude and Florence Williams, all of West Monroe and brother-in-law, Claude Williams and his wife, Charlotte of Downsville, a very special aunt, Katherine Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Pallbearers will be Donie Hall, Kenny Waggner, Larry Romero, Monty Burnett, Ches Struben and Bubba West.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Foster, Ronnie Lenard, Butch Lewis, Roy Hudgins, John Reagus and Joe Reeves.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM till service time Sunday.

MR. O.K. McCURDY, JR.
Mulhearn Funeral Home - West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. O.K. McCurdy, Jr. 69, of Eros, LA, will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at Walnut Grove Methodist Church, with Rev. George Bonner and Rev. David Womack officiating.
Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mr. McCurdy died April 8, 2005 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.
Mr. McCurdy was a prospector, rancher and inventor.
Survivors include his wife, Marty McCurdy, children, Kelly Cummings and husband, Billy, Justin McCurdy, Stacy McCurdy and wife, Jodie, Wess McCurdy and wife, Jessica, grandchildren, Carrie, Seth, Jillian, Tyler, Kade, Cole, Ty, Raelee, one great-grandchild, Leslie, brother, Jesse McCurdy, niece, Melinda McCausland.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Rutledge, Brack Rutledge, Jack Rutledge, Joe Dee Dycus, Bruce McGowen, and David Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Gallob, Roger Rutledge, Larry Rutledge, Garey Wellerman, Boby McGowen, Ralph Jorgensen, Clyde Jorgensen, Ken Farmer, Peter West, Thomas Parker, Earl Sherman, Jimmy Hart, Al Jensen, Roger Parrott, Ben Parrott, Jerry Parker and many avid friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until service time Sunday at the Church.

MRS. ROSEMARIE FLEMING TUDOR

Services for Mrs. Rosemarie Fleming Tudor, age 88, of Jonesboro, LA, will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Herb Dickerson and Dr. Matthew Wohlfarth officiating.
Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery, Jonesboro, LA, under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tudor a homemaker was born May 4, 1916 in Benton, AR, and passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Jonesboro, LA.
Mrs. Tudor was preceded in death by her husband, William Grover Tudor; two children, Patricia May Waits, and Paul Jean Tudor; six brothers, Russell Fleming, Victor Fleming, Frederick Fleming, Charles Fleming, Bernard Fleming, Clarence Fleming; and two sisters, Lydia Olson, and Ruth Beaty.
She is survived by her daughter Phyllis Hargrove and husband, James E. of Jonesboro, LA; son: Ray Gerald Tudor and wife, Carolyn Sue of Knoxville, TN; one sister: Mildred Prewitt Benton, AR; two brothers: John Fleming of Bryant, AR, and Clyde Fleming of Benton, AR; son-in-law: Billy Gene Waits; six grandchildren: Kathy Robinson, Bill Waits, Wendy Collinsworth, Jeanie Wallis, Benjamin Tudor, and Brandon Tudor; nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ted Williams, Robert Fleming, Ricky Fleming, George Fleming, Bill Decou, and Andy Brown.

MICHAEL HAROLD VARNELL

Michael H. Varnell, 62, of Bastrop LA, passed away Friday, April 8, 2005 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Varnell.
He is survived by his mother Theresa Varnell of Monroe, LA, one son, Tommy Varnell and special friend, Jill of Austin, TX; two daughters, Vickie Book of El Dorado, AR, and Gayle Shidiskis and husband, David of Minden, LA; five grandchildren Brian Book of Farmerville, LA, and Brandie Book of El Dorado, AR; Ryan Beaudion, Madison Shidiskis, and Alexander Shidiskis all of Minden, LA.
He is also survived by three sisters Barbara Crews of Monroe, LA, Patricia Archibald and Pam Metz, both of Baton Rouge, LA.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 11, 2005 at 10:00 AM.
The service will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
The family will receive visitors from 9:00 AM until the time of the service Monday morning.

MRS. ENNIE LUCILLE FRANTOM YORK

Funeral services for Mrs. Ennie Lucille Frantom York, 92, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 11, 2005, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Pastor Kevin Ropp and Rev. John Williams officiating.
Interment will be in Beulah Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mrs. York was born May 1, 1912, in Ouachita Parish, and passed away April 9, 2005, in West Monroe.
Mrs. York retired as a Food Service Supervisor from U.L.M. and she was a member of New Life Wesleyan Church.
Mrs. York was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Minnie Frantom; and her son, Ronnie Bennett.
Survivors include her sons, Jim York and wife, Linda, Joe York and wife, Teresa, Don Bitting and wife, Bernie, a daughter-in-law; Linda Bennett, five grandchildren; Kerri Wall and husband, Doug, Kassi Meyer and husband, Kevin, Kory York and wife, Holly, Amanda York and Andy York, and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. York's grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers and Mrs. York's nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.

L.G. Butler of West Monroe, a retired railroad worker, died Wednesday.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at New Salem Baptist Church, West Monroe.
Burial will be at Richwood Memorial Gardens, Richwood.
