Barbara V. Bianchini, a homemaker, died Wednesday of acute respiratory failure at Northshore Regional Medical Center. She was 63. Ms. Bianchini was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include her husband, Dominick P. Bianchini; five daughters, Brenda B. Armato, Glenda B. Mitchell, Cheryl B. Cook, Donna B. Ortiz and Karen B. Gladys Washington Dallon, a homemaker, died Aug. 30 at her home. She was 80. Mrs. Dallon was a resident of Killona for 50 years. She was a member of Children of Israel Baptist Church in Killona. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Dallon; a daughter, Deborah Dallon; a stepson, Joseph Dallon Jr. of Ramsey, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Hazel Dallon of Hahnville; two brothers, Clifford Washington of New Orleans and Wilton Matthews of Ama; five sisters, Ella Mae Chambers of Raceland, Daisyette Tolliver of Algiers, Julia Lewis, Athenette Nobles of Algiers and Linda Taylor of New Orleans; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Delia Prevost Drenning, a homemaker and retired elementary schoolteacher for the Jefferson Parish school system, died Thursday of congestive heart failure at her home. She was 99. Mrs. Drenning was born in Baldwin and lived in Metairie for the past 62 years. She graduated from Franklin High School and received a certificate in teacher training from Southwest Louisiana Institute in Lafayette and a bachelor's degree in lower elementary education from Tulane University. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She was a member of the Alpha Delta chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, the American Association of Women, Jefferson Parish Historical Society, the Jefferson Parish and National Retired Teachers Association, AARP Metairie Chapter No. 725 and the Tulane Alumni Association. Survivors include two sons, Chester A. Drenning Jr. of Sonoma, Calif., and Denis A. Drenning; a sister, Stella Prevost Roy of Chalmette; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2929 Metairie Road. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.

Gregory Collins, a licensed chauffeur, died Sunday of gunshot wounds at his home. He was 45. Mr. Collins was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from McDonogh No. 35 High School. Billie Wayne Thomas Sr., a carpenter, died Monday of congestive heart failure at DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, Ga. He was 59. Mr. Thomas was born in New Orleans, lived in Gretna for 44 years and in Atlanta for the past 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Vernetta Wells Thomas; two sons, Kendrick and Billie W. Survivors include a son, Salvador Napolitano Jr.; a stepson, Charles Crosson; two stepdaughters, Paulette Crosson and Winona Dykes; a brother, Peter C. Survivors include his wife, Chandra Byes Henry; a son, Simlah Cy Henry III; a daughter, Cydreanna Simrhea Henry; his father, Simlah Cy Henry Sr.; his mother, Barbara Henry; three brothers, Larry Green, Cleveland McGinnis and Keith McCray; and three sisters, Tanina Marshall, Sabrina Holmes and Patrice Dyas. Frank Leonard Michel, a retired restaurant owner, died Sunday at Metropolitan Hospice. He was 81. Mr. Michel was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He formerly worked for Borden Milk Co. and Carm's Beef. He served as a technician 4th grade in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Linda Fulton Michel; two daughters, Sandra Elizabeth Jones and Cynthia Michel Davis; two stepsons, Joseph and John Anzalone; a stepdaughter, Jill Anzalone Byrd; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
